A decision worth taking.

Faculty: The students are taught and guided by highly qualified professors with Ph.Ds. The curriculum is very much career oriented with practical applications. The 3 year course covers all the aspects of Journalism and New media making students ready to take a sprint in a competitive field like Media.

Placements: Almost 90% of our students have been placed in topmost News organizations and agencies like Reuters, The Hindu and Times. Some opt for freelancing. The package starts from 25k- 70k. They work as Reporters, P...

Overall, the college is good in terms of academics.

Faculty: MCC is one of the best colleges for Arts in entire India. There are separate faculty members for different departments. Most of them are very friendly and understanding. The department of journalism has 5 faculty members, and they are very strict when it comes to assignments and submissions. Overall, we get to learn a lot. This department has taught me how to keep patience in the worst situations.

Placements: On-campus placements for journalism students are not that regular and often. Few companies like Reuters do come for recruiting graduates, but the students don't turn up for interviews. Apart from on-campus placements, most of the students go for jobs and works of their own choice. Few go for freelancing, few go for post graduation etc. So, in terms of campus placements for journalism students, the college is not very good. But, a compulsory internship has to be done for 60 days during the 6th se...

Madras Christian College offers much more than academics. It is a place to learn, unlearn and re-learn. The students imbibe the skill to take ownership of things and this is a very important for one’s career and life. The faculty is top notch and the exposure students receive is extraordinary. The hostel/ hall life is one of a kind experience that only students of MCC can understand and feel. Some of the famous alumni include Dr. S. Radhakrishan, V.V Giri, Indra Nooyi, Prakash Karat, Gemini Gane...

Review of Department of Journalism, Madras Christian College.

Faculty: Professors at our college are more intellectual and friendly to students. They teach us very well. Almost every professor has a doctorate. Every professor will make sure that we understand it or not every time.

Placements: About 60% of students got internships. The college was very keen on placements. They conducted one course where we learned about how to attend an interview and how to do your resume. They teach us everything about interviews and how to do them.

Absolutely satisfied, good infrastructure with genuine faculty members.

Faculty: Teachers are really helpful and knowledgeable. They are highly qualified and train you to become a better person. This course curriculum is absolutely relevant. It makes the students prepared for the job what they deserve. Exams are not that difficult. It's based on how you prepare for the exams.

Placements: There were about 50 students in our class. It's a great course to do at this college. About 60% of students got internships from our course. It all depends on how you perform the tests and how you perfor...
