B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering - Batch of 2026

The college experience is quite boring.
Placements: 10% of students have placements available. The remaining 90% either pursue other corporate jobs or higher studies like M.Tech or MBA. The college is not well-known, and there’s little enjoyment with only seminars and other activities, which seem like a waste of time.
Infrastructure: The course fee is ₹3,20,000 per semester. The yearly fee is ₹40,000 and the total yearly fee is ₹80,000. Scholarships like SVMCM offer ₹60,000, and other scholarships are available. The hostel fee is ₹6,000 per month, and the canteen food quality is poor, impacting the campus's overall image.
Faculty: Faculty members are boring and rude, behaving as if they are principals. This is not a good impression for prospective students, as other colleges may not have the same issues.

Dissatisfied because of the canteen food.
Placements: Compared to some previous year placement records, this year not that many students got good placement through our college. The placement record graph is falling down day by day. Students are trying to get some jobs through off-campus placements. Students who have completed some separate internships during the on-going course are getting an advantage in campusing. As I have not done any internships, I have no idea about internship programs.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is so good, and faculty members are up to the mark from any perspective. Hostel rooms are great and contain good services like medical, food, and bathrooms. The hostel option is available for both boys and girls. The college canteen food quality is not that good but average. That need to be upgraded. Sports are encouraged so much by the sports faculty members and the other faculty members as well. Sometimes they join us. Classrooms and libraries are very good, and free Wi-Fi is provided to the students.
Faculty: Teachers are not always so good at teaching, and students should also do some self-study during exam periods. Teachers will help with many study-related problems during exams. They are really very humble toward us. They provided us with notes during our time when we were used to doing classes regularly.
Other: I like programing language that's why I chose this course.

Our college had a good placement record in 2019.
Placements: Students mostly go for off-campus placements. Campus placements are not that bad. Many companies, like Tata Consultancy Services, Cognizant, Wipro, Facebook, Intel, etc., offer very good placement options after the course. Not all students got campus placements in our batch. Around 60% of students got good internships at different companies.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is not as good as expected. It gives a good environment for studying and wondering. Inside the college, Wi-Fi is available but for limited usage. Classrooms and laboratories are good, with all kinds of better facilities like air conditioning and clean benches. There are projectors to conduct presentations. The library is well stocked with study materials and even books related to other topics.
Faculty: We are satisfied with our faculty members because they are very helpful all the time, especially during exams. Semester exams are not that easy to crack because they are conducted by the head council. Our college cannot interfere with exam-related issues.
Other: I like coding, so I chose computer science. During the course, no extracurricular activities are mandatory. It depends on our personal improvement.

Review of Dream Institute Of Technology.
Placements: Almost 90% of students got placed in our course. Top recruiting companies are TCS, Cognizant, Infosys, and Facebook. Around 10% of students got internships in this course. The stipend is very good.
Infrastructure: Hostels are average. Separate hostels are available for both boys and girls on campus. Sports are available in our college. It also provides a good library. Classrooms and labs are good. The hostel provides good food. Medical facilities are available in our college.
Faculty: Semester exams are easy to crack. The pass percentage is 40 out of 100. We have practical exams. Exams also include practical numbers in it. The course curriculum is relevant. It does not make students ready for the industry.
Other: Annual fests are conducted in this college.

It is an affordable and the best place for learning.
Placements: Approximately 80 to 90% of students got placed from our college. The highest package offered is 15 LPA, while the lowest package is 4 LPA. 6 LPA is the average package offered. Harman Connected Services India Private Limited and MSys Tech India Private Limited are the top hiring firms in town. Almost every student is placed without difficulty.
Infrastructure: The college has every facility like other private colleges. There are individual lab rooms for each subject and a big practical room for our laboratory practicals. There is also a seminar room. The hostel facilities are not quite good, as the food here is not so good. Apart from that, every facility is good.
Faculty: The teachers are highly educated and very humble. They teach every detail of the chapter. But it is required to teach a bit more deeply. The exams conducted are moderate as each topic is taught thoroughly. The passing percentage is approximately 40%.
Other: We had many seminars in our college related to the technical field. I selected this course as I was very much attracted to the technology and coding field. The surroundings are quite good, but the major problem is communication skills. It is very different for a non-Bengali speaker to habitat in the college.

Review of DIT - Dream Institute Of Technology.
Placements: Almost 20 to 30% of the students got placements from this college. The average salary package offered in the mechanical branch is 1.7 LPA to 2 LPA. No such top recruiting companies visit this college. Very few students wish to do internships due to small companies. Usually, supervisor posts are offered.
Infrastructure: The campus is Wi-Fi enabled, but it is restricted to faculty members only. Students have to pay extra for Wi-Fi. The college is well-built with sufficient and beautiful classrooms, and the office building is centrally air-conditioned system enabled. Labs are average. Hostel facilities are available here, but the food quality is just average type. A football ground is located inside the campus.
Faculty: Faculty members of our college are not highly qualified or experienced. You have to be self-sufficient to pass the exam. The course is offered by MAKAUT, and the current MAKAUT curriculum does not make students industry-ready. Semester exams are not tough, and if you are self-reliant, you can pass the exams easily.
Other: I joined this college as there is no such burden for attendance. It would be better if management clears things before admission, like what we are going to pay in due course. You have to pay the fee of Rs. 1,000 to 1,500 every year, and again you have to pay a large amount for training, project work, placements, etc. The campus is 10-12 km away from DH road, and you have only two buses and some autos for travel.
