A guide to FISAT from the eyes of Helna.
Placements: It's one of the best private education institutes in Kerala, with a placement percentage of approximately 88%. Numerous companies arrive every year for recruitment at our college, and the students get recruited at a very high salary as compared to other private colleges.
Infrastructure: I took the mechanical course because I wanted to do something related to the automobile itself, so this course seemed to be much easier for me. The facilities also provided to us in the college included free Wi-Fi access and online and offline library access for all the students and faculty members of the college.
Faculty: The faculty members are helpful and are always a call away to help you out. The teaching quality of the faculty members is practical-oriented and has case-based questions. The course curriculum is relevant to the industry; sometimes teachers go to the extra extent of taking more classes to complete the course on time.

    Engineers require no introduction.
Placements: 60% of the students get internships, and 90% of the students get placement for our batch or our course. The college has been trying hard to bring in good companies for the past few years and has been successful in doing so, because of which the placements at the college have become good nowadays. The students are getting placed in their core jobs, which were not there earlier. The average package stands at INR 6 lakh rupees, and the roles offered are machine learning engineer and marketing analyst.
Infrastructure: The facilities provided to our course in terms of infrastructure are good, such as a well-connected Wi-Fi-enabled campus. The college also has a mess facility available, but the food quality in the mess is not good. There is no dedicated mess committee to look after the quality of the food.
Faculty: The teachers in FISAT are very highly qualified in terms of academics and are also highly experienced. The faculty members are always up for an explanation on any topic given to us. The faculty members are dedicated to delivering high-value content that is extremely relevant in terms of industry standards.

My journey of getting a Masters degree.
Placements: The placement rate for our batch was approximately 85%, the percentage for placement was so low because the college at that time did not have any dedicated cell for placement and the average package of the college was also extremely low I. e. 5,00,000. The companies were amazon, Flipkart, and Wipro.
Infrastructure: The campus is fully equipped with Wi-Fi and the college has a state of arts labs for all its courses. The college has different setting areas for both men and women for mess and canteen and we also have medical facilities available for us, the college also has a tie-up with a nearby hospital.
Faculty: The teaching quality of the teachers in FISAT is good. The faculty members are dedicated to teaching and helping students on a day-to-day basis. The college also offers several student support services and facilities such as counseling sessions. The curriculum I relevant to the industry.

Really good infrastructure, facilities and faculty members.
Placements: I am an M.Tech student. The placements are mainly focused for B.Tech students. A lot of students gets placed here, in different companies every year. The companies visited in 2017 were TCS, VVDN technologies, etc. About, 45 percent students are placed in different companies. And, the average salary offered was Rs. 20,000 per month. A placement cell is also there, but they only focus on the placement of the B.Tech students. The placement cell here also provides some training for the B.Tech students.
Infrastructure: It has a great infrastructure. Almost all the facilities are available in the college. Wi-Fi is available for all students, staffs, and in hostels. More than 400 classrooms are here, and each one is provided with projectors. Best library facilities and digital libraries with IEEE access are present here. Labs with all the facilities are also there here, and a new FabLab was inaugurated last year. Separate PG labs for M.Tech students and software like Xilinx, Cadence tools are available for the VLSI students. Medical facilities and an ambulance for the college is available in case of an emergency. This college has its own vegetable garden. Quality of the food in the canteen is average, and the hostel rooms are also good.
Faculty: All the faculty members are best and helpful. All faculty members are M.Tech or above qualified, and most of them have years of experience in teaching. Teaching methods include lectures with ppts which also includes videos relating to studies etc. Here, industrial exposure is also provided. B.Tech courses include ECE, EEE, CSE, CE, EIE and ME and for M.Tech courses, VLSI and Embedded systems, Communication Engineering, PEPS, Structural Engineering, Computer Science etc., are included. This college is affiliated to KTU university. The course curriculum is also useful.
Other: Events regarding the arts, sports, tech fests, are held every year. Arts fests like Bharatham, Arangu were held recently and the tech fest Nautilus was also held in 2018.

A guide before taking admission in FISAT.
Placements: The percentage of students that get placed in our college is only 60% - 70%, the college does not provide good placement opportunities the college does not provide me with any kind of internship as well and the college takes a higher fee for management students.
Infrastructure: The facilities and the infrastructure provided to us are very low as compared to the feels charge to us. The feels charge to us are high as compared to the amenities and the facilities provided to us making the college expensive and the quality of the food is also not at all up to the mark.
Faculty: The curriculum of our college is not that relevant to the industry standard and that is the prime reason for the students of our college not getting placed because most of us are not up to date with that of industry and teachers and the genuinely helpful and qualified.
