CUSAT MTech Eligibility & Highlights 2026
Cochin University (or CUSAT) offers MTech (full-time) in 16 specialisations. The MTech specialisations offered are Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics, Civil, etc. Admission to MTech courses at CUSAT is through a GATE score. Candidates without a GATE score can appear for the Departmental Admission Test (DAT). For MTech in Marine Engineering, candidates need to pass the A and B exams conducted by the Institution of Engineers (India).
CUSAT University also offers MTech (part-time) in different specialisations as per the official website. But, the current prospectus of the university does not confirm the same.

CUSAT MTech Admission Process 2026: How to Apply?
CUSAT accept application forms in an online mode. Candidates wanting to take admission in a MTech course must check the eligibility criteria. The step-wise application procedure is explained below:
1. Go to the university admission page (admission.cusat.ac.in) and click on “New Candidate Registration”. The email ID and phone number provided during the registration must be active throughout the MTech admission process.
2. Fill out personal details and reservations (if applicable).
3. Upload a recent passport-size photograph in portrait orientation. Also, a scanned image of your signature in landscape orientation. The images shall be in .png or .jpg or .jpeg format.
- For Photograph – Upload passport size photo with dimensions 150 px X 57 px and file size not more than 500 KB.
- For Signature – File size shall not be more than 100 KB and the dimension should be 130 px X 57 px
4. Select the programme or combination of programmes.
5. After submission of course details, check all the details on the short preview.
6. Pay the application fee through credit/debit cards or net banking. After a successful payment, your form is submitted.
