Placements: Actually, in civil engineering, the number of placements is less because all students migrate to CSE branches to secure jobs. As a result, fewer students remain in the core subjects, leading to fewer placements in civil companies. However, if you stay in civil companies, you will get placed.
Infrastructure: Every classroom is equipped with projectors and comfortable benches. Wi-Fi is only available on lab PCs, which are connected to Ethernet. Each branch has its computer lab with all the software required for the respective branch. Our college is Brahmin College, no non-vegetarian food is available in the canteen or hostels. We can also use the free hospital facilities by showing our ID cards.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful to assist with teaching, and they are all highly qualified. The course prepares students for the industry-ready if they perform well in labs. The semester exams are not predictable. They can be tough and sometimes easy.

Absolutely satisfied with placements and facilities, but not with the infrastructure .
Placements: 85% of people get placed in campus placements. Many companies like Samsung, TCS, Amazon, Tech Mahindra, etc. will visit the college. Every year, there is an increase in placement percentage. Due to recession, this year may be less than guaranteed.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good. But they give more preference to education than infrastructure. There are some clubs for cultural activities and sports and for educational technical clubs, & the hostel is not too good but the maintenance is good. There is only a vegetarian menu in the mess. Hostel fees per year: 80,000.
Faculty: There will be enough faculty for students. They are friendly with students. They include the students in their research programs. All faculty are M.Tech. graduates. And the curriculum is relevant. The semester exams are not too difficult and pass marks are 28 out of 70.
Other: I chose this course out of my own interest. Our faculty are very good. Infrastructure should improve. Events and fests are fewer.

GVPCE: Strong academics, great placements.
Placements: Placements in our college are amazing. The top companies like Amazon will also be recruiting with the highest package of 40 LPA, and there will be on-campus recruitment training before placements. Generally, GVPCE has a good placement record, with placement percentages often ranging between 70 and 90% for popular engineering courses like Computer Science, Electronics, and Mechanical Engineering. Around 20–30 LPA is typically offered by top multinational companies or high-teaching firms. The lowest package is around 3–4 LPA, which is common for entry-level positions in smaller firms. Average Package: Usually falls between 4-6 LPA. Some of the top recruiters often include Infosys, TCS, Wipro, Accenture, Cognizant, Capgemini, Amazon, Microsoft, and other leading IT and core engineering companies.
Infrastructure: There will be Wi-Fi available in the library for students, and a lot of competitive exam books will also be available in the library, along with a newspaper section. There will also be a well-equipped lab and lab assistants to guide the students in the lab. The campus is equipped with Wi-Fi connectivity, providing internet access to students for academic and research purposes. GVPCE has well-equipped laboratories with modern equipment and tools relevant to various engineering disciplines. Labs are regularly updated to keep pace with technological advancements. The central library at GVPCE is extensive, offering a vast collection of textbooks, reference materials, journals, and e-resources. It provides a conducive environment for study and research, along with access to digital libraries and online databases.
Faculty: All the professors completed their education in IIT, a well-known university, which helps the students gain a lot of knowledge and semester exams will be so strict. And fair to everyone. The faculty at GVPCE typically possess advanced degrees in their respective fields, including M.Teach and Ph.D. qualifications, ensuring a strong academic foundation. Faculty members are often experienced and knowledgeable, with many having industry experience or active involvement in research, which enhances their teaching capabilitieTeaching methods at GVPCE include a mix of lectures, practical sessions, and interactive methods such as seminars and workshops.
Other: This is the best college in Visakhapatnam. And it is also well known for its reputation and helps the students get a lot of placements.

Our college faculty members were not good.
Placements: In our college, more than 50% of students were placed. Top recruiting companies like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Cognizant, etc., visited our campus. The lowest salary package offered was 3 LPA. The average salary package offered was 5 LPA and the highest salary package offered was 30 LPA. Almost 30% of students got internships.
Infrastructure: Our labs, classrooms, and library were good but the hostel food was not so good. In civil engineering, we needed some equipment like a total station, a dumpy level, prisms, theodolites, etc. We had one or two and they needed to be repaired. We needed more equipment to proceed.
Faculty: Some teachers were not so talented. Our senior teachers were well talented. The course curriculum was relevant. It gave me enough knowledge to be industry-ready. The semester exams were average. The pass percentage was 40%.
Other: I chose civil because of my interest in building planning and designing. The best thing about our course was the number of subjects we had compared to other branches. We needed better faculty members for our course. Our college organised events and festivals. The campus crowd was good. In our college, it is preferable to choose IT background branches over civil and mechanical.

Our college is not suitable.
Placements: There are no placements in civil engineering but there are placements in the software field. There are no salary packages that I heard. In software also, they provide a salary package of 2 LPA. No companies are visiting our college in our course. Less than 5% of students got internships.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good and the campus is very clean and neat. Lab facilities are better and Wi-Fi facility is not so good. The library is the one and only peaceful environment that is provided for students. The college canteen food is average with the high cost and less quantity food. We can play on the college ground with huge space. Hostel food is the worst and the management collects high fees.
Faculty: All the faculty members are qualified but very few of them are knowledgeable. The teaching quality is good. Some teachers give presentations in PPTs. There is a course curriculum which is on our college website. The semester is not a 6 months semester. The whole syllabus includes mid-exams and lab internals and externals are completed within 3 months. Students are facing difficulties in writing records and exams. The pass percentage is 60% in our course. Exams are slightly difficult.
Other: I chose civil engineering to do something creatively and intensively. There are some social club events. Other than that, there are no events and fests in our college which means cultural activities are less. Scholarships are not provided.

Candidates must have passed 10+2 with Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry as options or related vocational courses in the fields of Engineering and Technology, or any other examination conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh/ Telangana, with the mentioned marks in aggregate (40% in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) or equivalent along with bridge course or courses conducted by it for candidates enrolled from the academic year 2000 onwards. Candidates who have appeared for the final year of 10+2 and who are awaiting for their results are also eligible to apply on provisonal basis.
