The ratio of students getting placed remains low as students themselves are not interested in doing a job after graduation and want to pursue something for the professional degree.

Review of SD College in detailed.
Placements: There are around 350 students who get admission in the B.Com course. The highest package offered is 7 LPA, and many top companies visit the campus. Around 100 students get placements with companies like Deloitte, ICICI Bank, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is amazing, and there is a good environment for students to study, with proper lighting, fans, boards, etc. Libraries are available for students, and there is availability of sports equipment is provided. The hostel mess is also very good.
Faculty: Teachers of our college are highly qualified. They teach things very easily, which develops interest in students. Exams in college are of a moderate level, so even an average or below-average student can clear them. A minimum of 33% marks is needed to pass exams, and the internal are worth 20 marks.

Overall satisfied with campus facilities.
Placements: Every student who sits for placements gets a job opportunity in the company. The highest salary package offered is 25 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is around 4 LPA. Banking and management companies visit the college. Around 40-55% of students got their seats in placements.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure and facilities are not very bad, but just average. Wi-Fi is available, but it is not very strong to reach the classroom. A library is available on the campus. The staff is very supportive and kind. The food is available for students. The canteen maintains hygiene.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and supportive. The teaching quality and teachers are above average. The course is relevant and makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are not difficult. They are neither easy nor tough. They are somewhere easy. The passing mark for PU exams is 27 out of 80.
Other: I chose this course because of the opportunity available in the future.

Good college with facilities, poor campus .
Placements: Last year, almost 100 percent of the graduating class was placed, with Deloitte, ICICI, HDFC and other major recruiters participating. This year Deloitte, ICICI and Accenture have already completed their placements, and the placement record this year will be just as good.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure facilities are good but the campus is small compared to other colleges. Wi-Fi is accessible at smart points. The hostel has restricted timings which are more strict for girls, as their hostel closes at 7:30-8:00 pm.
Faculty: The teachers are knowledgeable and well qualified and the teaching quality is good. Still the university curriculum is outdated and does not provide students with the skills they need to work in industry.

A Multi-Disciplinary Institution.
Placements: Nearly 100 out of 350 students got placed this year with reputed companies like Deloitte, ICICI, HDFC, Accenture. The package varies from INR 650000 to 450000. The monthly internship schemes are also available. This year, Deloitte GSM was held in Jun-July, which selected a few students to familiarize them with upcoming roles as placed. The roles offered are audit assistant, deputy manager, sales assistant, etc.
Infrastructure: The campus provides wide classrooms, a library, reading room, canteen, Nescafe, an open garden, and a fully functioning automation cell for any help. The classrooms are fully ventilated, clean, with provisions for smart boards and projectors. The hostel serves good food, with a wholesome menu having dishes from various cultures. Chole bhature is my favorite. There is a gym, reading room, recreation room, indoor games, a spacious hall, open garden, canteen, and a good security system. The faculty is also friendly. Separate AC and Non-AC rooms can be chosen based on your needs. A fully functioning Wi-Fi is also provided.
Faculty: The faculty is highly qualified, friendly, and supportive. They make sure you have no unresolved problems. The course cannot make you fully ready, although they have options for other courses which definitely can. The semester-end exams are average, and even if you start a month ago, you can nail them. The pass percentage is 33%, and you won’t have to reappear in more than 3 subjects.
Other: The best thing is the faculty and crowd, for sure. You get to meet people from diverse cultures, and there is so much to learn from them. The clubs and societies are a must-join. You won’t regret it. The college excels in cultural activities, having held the annual youth fest trophy for the ninth time in a row.

Excellent social life and growth.
Placements: Deloitte and ICICI bank are the top recruiting companies. Deloitte offered the role of assistant auditor with a package of 4.5 lakhs per annum and selected 30 students in my batch. Others, like Accenture and local companies, also come. In my batch, around 100 students got placed.
Infrastructure: Talking about the hostel, it's a bit expensive but has world-class facilities like AC mess, good-quality food, including sweet dishes in dinner and fruits in the morning, along with milk and tea every day with curd in lunch. Wifi facility, reading room, garden, etc. are also there in the hostel. And a nurse is also available for hostels, different from the college nurse.
Faculty: The teaching staff is highly knowledgeable and helping by nature. Aside from curriculum, they also provide us with insight into real life. Most of the teachers have doctorate degrees or are currently pursuing them as research scholars. Exams are conducted twice, i.e., the MST and end-semester tests. It is easy to pass them but in case you fail in MST, a special test is conducted for the same for an hour. The curriculum is affiliated with Panjab University, Chandigarh.
Other: The college is best known for commerce and placement in the Tricity. It has the best crowd compared to other colleges. Talent is appreciated here beside academic achievements. There is high personal growth and confidence-building as we get to know how to deal with people. There are enormous clubs and events organized. Moreover, NSS and NCC are also available.
