Scholarship Eligibility Criteria
Candidate Requirements:
Female students admitted to the first year of a degree-level course, or
Admitted to the second year through lateral entry in an AICTE-approved institution.
Family Restriction:
Maximum of two female candidates per family are eligible.
Income Limit:
Annual family income must not exceed ?8,00,000.
A valid income certificate issued by the State/UT Government is mandatory.
Scholarship Details
Number of Scholarships:
5,000 scholarships awarded annually.
Unutilized scholarships may be reallocated to the AICTE Pragati Scholarship Scheme for Diploma students.
Geographical Allocation:
Scholarships are distributed state/UT-wise as per a fixed quota.
Additional scholarships are available to eligible candidates from specified Union Territories and North Eastern states.
Financial Assistance:
?50,000 per annum as a lump sum for up to 4 years (first-year entrants) or 3 years (lateral entry second-year entrants).
Covers tuition fees, books, equipment, software, and related academic expenses.
No provision for hostel or medical expenses.
Selection Procedure
Merit-Based:
Selection is based on the candidate’s percentage marks in the qualifying examination (10+2 or equivalent).
State/UT-wise merit lists are prepared according to the number of scholarships allotted.
