Satisfied with the college.

Placements: 90% of students are getting jobs with great packages. Students were offered INR 8 LPA in the best scenario. Students get an average package of INR 4 LPA. Adani, Reliance, Jio, BSNL, IOCL, ESSAR, L&T, etc. are the top recruiting companies in our college. The project management role is offered the most.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is very good; all buildings are in somewhat good condition. Students do get library, sports, and other facilities. Students can get a mess hall and canteen within walking distance. The hostel is very near, making it easier for students.

Faculty: All the faculty members are very knowledgeable and helpful. Faculty members never lack the ability to solve doubts and mentor students. They do make us industry-ready. Semester exams are moderately tough, which makes it good to determine the level of the students.

Absolutely satisfied with my experience through this college.

Placements: About 80-85% of student placed in my course. My course was civil engineering and this is the best course to choose while you choose GEC, Surat. Companies like Adani, ONGC, Reliance, and many more local and national base infrastructure and building companies come for placement.

Infrastructure: As this is the government college it has great infrastructure with greenery and beautiful plantation. No noises of outer Road or Vehicles. Wi-Fi is also available in campus. Facility of library and sport equipments also available. Hostel is also best.

Faculty: All the professors are very knowledgeable has good behaviour. The quality of teaching is very good enough you don't need extra tuition classes over the college lectures. Syllabus were also completed on time. And passing rate of students almost 100%. .

Review of Dr. S & S.S.Ghandhi Government Engineering College.

Placements: About 20-40% of students get placed every year. The average package offered is about Rs. 2.5 LPA. Companies like Adani Port, Essar Steel, Cribhaco, and major construction companies of Surat come here. Internships are mandatory for final-year students in the final semester.

Infrastructure: Compared to other government campuses in Gujarat, GEC has a very neat and clean infrastructure with modern equipment. Wi-Fi facilities are available. The canteen and food services needs to improve. Extracurricular activities are conducted here.

Faculty: The faculty members are well-experienced. The course curriculum is not well maintained. Only bookish knowledge is provided and not practical knowledge. Exams and assessments are not tough.

Other: I chose this campus because I had no any other options. The whole system of GEC, Surat, needs to improve.

Review of Dr. S & S.S.Ghandhi Government Engineering College.

Placements: Placements are absolutely great, as one would expect from a government college. All the top companies, such as Larsen & Toubro, Essar, Arcelor Mittal, and Maruti, have visited our campus. More than 70% of people are placed. Reliance also came for EC department.

Infrastructure: The hostel is quite luxurious for a government college. The canteen is quite average, and almost all the basic first aid items are available in all the departments. The one thing that I like the most about this college is the Wi-Fi. It is fast.

Faculty: Teachers in our department are amazing. They are friendly, supportive, humorous, and always ready to help. Mid-term exams are hard.

Love to study because of awesome faculty.

Placements: About 20-30% students gets placement. The highest package is Rs. 23000 and the lowest is Rs. 9000. Top recruiting companies are Mittal and L&T. About 10% students get internship. Top roles offered from the companies are site supervisor and sometimes office work.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi sometimes give high ping while watching YouTube videos which are suggested by our faculty members but while searching on Google, it gives good internet speed. While we're close to Wi-Fi sometimes it gives the speed of 6 mbps also. I did not stay at the hostel so I do not know about it but the food in the canteen is good. Do not expect that everything is good.

Faculty: Teachers in this college, especially in our department, are very much helpful. They are highly qualified and their teaching quality is good. The practical knowledge they give us makes us ready for site work. Semester exams in the college are quite difficult but if you pay attention in class, you will definitely pass the exams. Passing percentage is about 34.

Other: As my dad is in construction field, I got interested in this field from my childhood.

I am satisfied with the infrastructure and professors but not with placements and curriculum.

Placements: Placements in our college are not as much as expected, but a few companies visit for placements. Some of those companies are Ambuja Cement, Aggarwal Construction, etc. The highest salary package offered was 6 LPA, while the lowest salary package offered was around 1.2 LPA. About 5% of the students get internships every year, while 30% of the students get placed every year.

Infrastructure: All the facilities provided by our college were good compared to other government colleges. Our college provides free Wi-Fi facility, and the labs have enough equipment. The library is fair enough, but the infrastructure is kind of moderate. The infrastructure of the hostel was good during our tenure because it was newly built that time. The quality of the food provided is also good enough.

Faculty: Professors here are very intelligent, and some of them have written some books for the civil engineering branch, which are very helpful to Gujarati medium students. Professors are very helpful outside the class also. The course curriculum is not designed by our college as it was designed by the state engineering community. So, it was good enough to get industrial and also practical knowledge.

Other: I have chosen this course because during my tenure, this field was in high demand, and our college was under the top 10 colleges for the civil course in Gujarat. The course curriculum is good, but it should be improved because they are course-specific only. So if someone want to opt for higher study, then it might be difficult for them to reach the goal. The study environment was very good, and some high students also take admission.

There were good placements in the previous years.

Placements: Placements are not available as excepted. The highest placement rate is 85%. The salary offered in placements is around Rs. 10,000 per month or Rs. 12,000 per month. Our college is good, but placements are not provided as we expected.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi facilities are available on our campus. Students can use the high-speed Wi-Fi facility. Library facilities are available in our college, and students can use these facilities. All students can use books provided in the library.

Faculty: The behaviour of the teachers is very good, and the teachers are very helpful for students. All teachers are friendly with students and students can understand the entire syllabus taught by professors. All professors are very professional in training or teaching, so students study very well.

Other: I chose this course because the scope is very good in this course. Our college is also very good.

Faculty members, infrastructure and placements are good.

Placements: From the civil engineering branch, 12-15 student got placed out of 70-75. The highest salary package offered is 3.8 LPA and the lowest salary package offered is 0.96 LPA. Essar is a top recruiting company of our college. In the previous year, two students got selected in the Merchant Navy. In our course, the highest salary package offered is 3.8 LPA and the lowest salary package offered is 0.93 LPA. Only a few students got an internship in ONGC Hazira.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi facilities available here are very good. The college also provides labs, classrooms, library, sport court, garden and seminar hall. Canteen quality is a bit week because only one person works at that so he only can't run the whole canteen service. Sport and games are very good, but the mess food is not good.

Faculty: Teachers in our college are very helpful and highly educated, so we get benefits of it. They are well-knowledgeable, and their teaching method is good because they are well-experienced and well-educated. They conduct many site visits and give practical knowledge, so it is very useful for us.

Other: I have chosen this course because I like planning, drawing and analytical things, so I aim to do the planning and designing work, and also I like this course. I think in this course, the college should start teaching only about civil engineering from the starting. Many seminars and event are arranged, and our college is a hub for student startup innovation, so many events based on startup are organised. The campus is very good and huge. Extra activities like sports and finishing school occur in our college. They also inform us about government scholarships, and they help us with that.
