Untold story Of GEC Raipur.

Placements: In this year's graduating class, only 10% of the students were placed. The highest package was 8 lakhs, the lowest was 4 lakhs, and the average package was 6 lakhs. The companies that recruited students were Adani Groups. Internship opportunities are not usually available in this branch. The roles that were offered were junior engineer, engineer, etc.

Infrastructure: The college has free Wi-Fi, a well-established library, very good labs, and digital classrooms. However, the college does not currently offer on-campus housing. On the plus side, the college does have good medical facilities and a good selection of games.

Faculty: The course curriculum makes students ready for industry. The teachers are well qualified and professional. The semester exams are not very hard, with a moderate level of difficulty. The passing percentage is 90%.

Other: I chose this course because I have a lot of interest in the electrical field. It's a good combination of electrical and electronics engineering. The college organizes many events that are helpful for students. State and national scholarships are available for both boys and girls.

Placements: The placement in this college is below average. The big teaching companies don't visit this college to offer jobs or internships. The placements in the electrical and electronics branch are very low; the average package offered by the companies to the students is about 3 to 4 lacs per annum only.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is quite good. The hygiene on the college campus is given the utmost importance and the hostel provided by the college is very neat and clean. The courses on the beaches are taught by the best professors and all the students are given personal importance regarding the subjects.

Faculty: The faculty of this college is well educated, they offer there best to the students and they teach very well. The support provided by the faculty of this college towards the teachers is the best. The curriculum of this college is very advanced and helps the students learn very advanced topics and get updated knowledge.

Other: The college has over all value for money and the return on money is quite good.

About my college- GEC Raipur.

Placements: In government engineering college Raipur, the placement rate is 30 percent and the highest package in government engineering college was 10 LPA and the average package is around 4 LPA. The percent of students who get internships at GEC Raipur is around 2 to 3 percent.

Infrastructure: I have a good interest in my chosen branch, electrical and electronics engineering. The Government Engineering College in Raipur has good infrastructure, a high-quality library, and Wi-Fi throughout the campus. The faculty at GEC Raipur are well experienced.

Faculty: The teachers at Government Engineering College Raipur are good and well experienced. The knowledge of teachers is also good, in my opinion, because they give good explanations for given topics. The semester exam is tough and questions are also not clear on question paper.

Other: The college holds two fests per year: AAYAM, a sports fest at GEC Raipur, and AVESH, a technical fest at GEC Raipur. In GEC Raipur, ground conditions are not well managed.

It is a very good college for students.

Placements: Placements are average. The minimum salary package offered was 1 LPA. Many top recruiting companies visit our college for recruitment. I would recommend students to join this college.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is very good. The auditorium is the main attraction of this college. Classrooms have 3 air-conditioners. We also have a gym facility in this college.

Faculty: Faculty members are experienced. We have 2 class tests and 2 unit tests. Teachers are average in this college. It is a government college so you have to study on your own.

Other: Industrial visits are conducted in this college. Fests are excellent.

College is good, it is the students who have to work hard.

Placements: The placement here is not quite good. The companies usually don't prefer this college as it is operated by the government of Chhattisgarh. Only a few students get placement here. Also, the packages are not attractive. So from a placement point of view. You can prefer other private colleges in Chhattisgarh.

Infrastructure: Being a government college there is no scarcity of funding. So no doubt infrastructure is best. Wi-Fi facilities are spread all over campus. Labs are also fully maintained and sophisticated. Mess and canteen facilities are also good. Medical facilities are also there.

Faculty: Teachers are knowledgeable and helpful. The syllabus makes students industry-ready. The semester exams are very easy. They get repeated every year. So it is very easy to pass the end sem. And students can go for other external studies. Some Teachers are arrogant.

You can gain huge knowledge here with very low fees.

Placements: According to the officials, in 2021, 10-20 students got placed. For more information, please visit the official website. Placements are improving here. The college is trying to provide more placements. Placements are much better in the CSE branch. We hope to see a good placement record in the next year.

Infrastructure: The college has very good infrastructure compared to other government colleges. It has well-equipped labs. The library is superb. Classrooms are good. All modern facilities are available in classrooms. Hostel facilities are not available for boys as the hostels are currently occupied by IIT Bhilai. Hostel facilities are available for girls, but there're only 15-20 seats.

Faculty: The teachers are well qualified and knowledgeable. The teachers are helpful. They are always available whenever students need them. The college doesn't have many permanent teachers, and most of the teachers are on a contractual basis. The college has a large ground for sports.

Other: The college fee is very low. For OBC, ST and SC, the fee is just around 3,000. So, it is definitely worth it.

Quite satisfied because of faculty, good placement, good infrastructure and facilities.

Placements: 75-80% students were placed after Qualification of pet. The highest package 12 LPA the lowest package 1.5 LPA and average 8 LPA. Top recruiting companies google, general electric, BHEL, apple. 70-90% students got internship in companies electric machine, power system, circuits analysis.

Infrastructure: Facilities are almost good. It's provide smart classroom, Wi-Fi, different labs, library. Facilities of hostel are not that much good, unhygienic, in one room 3-4bed are provided. Quality of food are also bad in taste. Medical facilities provided. Sports facilities are excellent in a week tournament were conducted.

Faculty: Teacher are well qualified and knowledgeable all teachers are qualified GATE then M.Tech. Teachers are caring helpful they can solve any problem of student. Yes course is curriculum relevant. It make student talented and hardworking. Semester exam not top if you can study every day. Only 5 units are there for semester exam. Pass percentage is 33%.

Other: This course is practical subject as well as knowledgeable and hardworking. Best things are learn new things, generate electricity and solve problems of own house. Attend training, schoolworking.

Review of Government Engineering College, Raipur.

Placements: GEC, Raipur does not provide placements to the students as it is recently shifted to Sejbahar, Raipur. The old campus of GEC, Raipur is now the campus of NIT Raipur, so the training and placement cell is poor. The condition might be improved in the coming year, and the students may get placed.

Infrastructure: The campus of GEC, Raipur has three main academic buildings, but as per the orders passed by the state government, GEC, Raipur is operated only in one building, and the other two buildings are given to IIT Bhilai and IIM Raipur on rent. The college provides good Wi-Fi facility. Classrooms are air-conditioned. The sports ground is huge enough. Canteen and cafeteria are good. Unfortunately, the hostel facility is not provided to the students of GEC, Raipur.

Faculty: Most of the teachers in GEC, Raipur are young. Teaching quality of most of the teachers is good. Smart study methods are used for a better understanding of students. The industry exposure provided only to the students of civil branch. Some faculty members are very biased and do not give marks to every student.

Other: Very few events are conducted in a year. The campus crowd is minimal. Campus surroundings are not good as it is surrounded by fields and a pond in the outer area of the city. Scholarships are provided to the meritorious students and ST/SC students. Several activities are conducted on a monthly basis for the improvement of students.
