Absolutely satisfied with college.
Placements: If you have a decent CGPA and good skills, you can get a very good package. The average package was around 14 LPA, and the highest was 52 LPA. Seniors have been helping very nicely, and the guidance you receive is very good. The course and curriculum are very nice.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi connection is really good in both college and hostels. Food facilities and security are very good for both boys and girls. There are a lot of places to have fun with friends, like the Gym, Amul, Vachan, etc. A lot of memories can be created here.
Faculty: Faculty is a little bit strict, just like everywhere, but at the end of the day, they help really well. Attendance is mandatory, with at least 75% required. Study well before the exams for a good CGPA, I would recommend. Apart from that, it's good. Professors are also great.
Other: It's good.

Good placement with a lot of opportunities and network with alumni.
Placements: Out of 114 students, 76 students got placed. The highest salary is 58 LPA, minimum is 5 LPA, and average is 17.8 LPA. Top companies are Tekion, DE Shaw, Samsung, Optum, Western Digital, ZS, etc. Very little students got internship offers, out of 114, only 12 students got internship offers from companies like DBOI. Top roles are SDE and business analyst.
Infrastructure: Facilities are not good at our time, no AC, no cooler, Wi-Fi is so bad, and classrooms are also bad. But in recent times, things changed and were renovated. Sports and games are good with all equipment. Hostel facilities are not very good. Food quality is also bad.
Faculty: Associate professors are good but temporary teachers are not very good. Course curriculum is very relevant, but it doesn't make students industry-ready. Semester exams are hard and competitive, but mostly people pass except few like 5-6 people.
Other: Placement is good and best thing is the coding. Vibe coding should be made regularly. A lot of fests are conducted like Electika, Samar, all communities, and clubs.

A great college and environment.
Placements: Everyone got placed. Around 95% of students got placed in my respective branch. Everyone got placed and also got internships in their 3rd year onwards. The highest package is 55 LPA, and the lowest is 5 LPA. The average package is 15 LPA. Most of the companies visit our campus. I guess role offered is data analyst.
Infrastructure: The facilities and everything are good. Our college is not that good. Smart classrooms are old. The administration has planned to shift the campus with modern equipment which provides students with better facilities. Hostel food and the safety of the students in the hostel are too good.
Faculty: All teachers are highly qualified and many graduated from top universities. They are super helpful. Before starting any course, they will explain the knowledge so that we can gain from the given course. Exams are difficult because they want to test the students' thinking and pass percentage is pretty good.
Other: I chose this course because of my interest in this field. Fests and extracurricular activities continuously take place in other colleges and everyone can actively participate.

It’s a very good college having good facilities.
Placements: The college has very good placement stats for my seniors this year. We got to know in our introduction program that one of my seniors got 2 crores worth of package off campus in our Computer Science department. Also 62 lacs was the highest package on-campus . The placements record of previous years is also very good.
Infrastructure: The canteens is very affordable offering good quality food. The variety of food items offered is very wide and we get to have tasty food . The canteen is very crowded because of the high quality food it serves. Dosa and sandwich are it’s speciality.
Faculty: We have a very educated faculty. Many of our professors got awarded as the top 1 percent scientists recently which was a matter of extreme pride for the students. The professors are patient and will help you outside the class also. The students are able to easily understand everything.

All you need to know before joining this NIT.
Placements: This year, internship and placement offers were lower compared to previous years. Twenty percent of students got internships this year. Companies like Amazon, Deloitte, Wipro, PhonePe, DeBoy, etc. came to campus this year. The highest package was 55 LPA, and the average package is 15 LPA. Compared to other branches, CSE and IT branches get good offers. But also in other branches, placements are good for other NITs. Many good core companies visit NIT Raipur and recruit a good amount of eligible students. Almost 80–87% of students get placed.
Infrastructure: In NIT Raipur, the infrastructure isn't that good. The campus size is small (less than 100 acres). Also, all the branches run in a single building. Classrooms are enough and are well-equipped with smart boards and Wi-Fi. But the quality of benches isn't that good. We have a small library. Most of the books are available, but the sitting area is small, and classes are assigned a specific day for book issuance. Wi-Fi is available on all the campuses, but sometimes it stops working (especially during exams). Talking about labs, there are sufficient labs in this NIT. There is a lab for every department, but the facilities in these labs aren't up to par. Lab facilities lack improvement and proper maintenance. Hostels—there aren't enough hostels for students. In the first year, you'll get hostels by your JEE rank (and yes, there is reservation in hostels also). Nearby students don't get hostels in their first year. If you live in Raipur or Bhilai, you won't get a hostel. Hostel rooms are provided with a chair, table, Bed., and almirah; you'll also get either a table (you will need to ask your caretaker). Food quality isn't that bad. You'll get food three times a day and nasta in the evening. On Sunday, messes are closed at night, so you've got to eat outside. And hostels close at 9 p.m. for first-year students. Non-veg is provided two times a week. The menu can be changed by a mess committee (formed by four students of each wing). Registration of hostels can be done immediately after the admission process, and results of this hostel admission are released in 3-4 days (but you can temporarily reside in any of the hostels until the results are declared). The gym isn't that good. There is only one gym for the whole NIT. Boys can use the gym in the evening only (the morning is reserved for girls). The quality of the ground is worse than the gym. There is a volleyball court, basketball court, and handball court. A football ground (this is the worst ground I have ever seen; if you'll drive on this ground, you'll end up in AIIMS.) and a cricket ground (most of the time, it is filled with water; I'm sure you can go fishing here). Football and cricket lack a proper lighting system. Our seniors wrote many letters to the dean for a lighting system, and they provided a simple lamp. So administration is also bad.
Faculty: The faculty members are good, highly knowledgeable, but their numbers are low. The faculty-to-student ratio is 1:90. All of them are good, but many lack good teaching techniques (for example, my math teacher in the first semester was very intelligent, but his teaching methods weren't good). You can contact any faculty on WhatsApp or by phone; many of them are very helpful (very few professors are arrogant or rude). The course curriculum is nice, based on the CBCS scheme. The course is well-equipped and up to the mark. It'll make you market-ready. Also, professors help us with referrals and study-related issues. Exams are moderate and conducted twice a year. The grading system is relatively fair.
Other: Campus life is not bad. We have several festivals, including technical and cultural. They are okay. Avataran (teach fest), Avinya (innovation fest), Shruti (musical fest), and Eclectic is the cultural fest. There are several clubs and committees you can join: the teach club, sports club, finance club (you can't join this club in your 1st year), robotix, photography club, etc.

Not satisfied with the faculty.
Placements: My class has a strength of 114 students. In the last year, the students faced difficulties in placements due to recession. Our bright students got the highest placement offer worth 62 LPA in off-campus recruitment. The class average is about 15 LPA and the college average is about 10-12 LPA. Don't go by the stats, if you are skilled enough, you can make more that you think. About 30-40 students got on-campus internships. Various tech giants came to our college like Adobe, Cisco, etc.
Infrastructure: The hostel condition is very good but the number of hostels are not enough to accommodate everyone. This time, only 7 students from general category got into the hostel for their second year. Admissions in the hostel for the second year are strictly based on CPI. Admissions in the first year hostel are based on the JEE Rank.
Faculty: The faculty is poor, they even don't know about the basic concepts. Some teachers are very talented but the number of these teachers is very less. Exams are very tough. You need to learn a lot before the examinations. It is not possible here to learn everything in one night before the exams to get 9-10CPI.
Other: I chose this college because it was best I go for my rank and financial conditions. But after coming to this college, I came to know about scholarships. If I knew about them earlier, I would’ve never come to this college because at the same rank, I was getting IIIT Lucknow which is far better in it's coding culture in comparison to my college.

Poor placement and internship offers.
Placements: Internship and placement offers made every day are decreasing and very few offers are made. Only 20% of students are getting internships. Placements are also not up to par. Companies like Amazon, Deshaw, Deloitte, Wipro, and DeBoy visit NIT Raipur. The highest package is 55 lacs per annum and the average package is 15 lacs per annum. CSE and IT get good offers compared to other branches.
Infrastructure: In classrooms and labs, smart boards and projectors are used for better teaching. Lab equipment is not up to par. Faculty help with studies and other issues for students. Hostel accommodation is very poor. Only 30% of students get hostels every year. The hostel list is based on merit-based CPI and JEE Main rank. Mess food quality is average.
Faculty: Professors help with internship referrals and study-related issues. A good curriculum is maintained. Good internship and placement offers are provided. We have coding clubs, which help us a lot. Semester exams are moderate. We need to get 35% to pass our semester exams.
Other: They should improve the facilities provided in classrooms and hostels. Poor sports facilities are provided. Only some students get hostels. So hostel accommodations need to be increased. Fests and events are good; they happen in jan and feb, which fill many good memories. Scholarships like NSP and FFE provide financial assistance for students.

Inside NIT Raipur: A Down-to-Earth Exploration of Campus Life, Studies, and More!
Placements: About 88%–90% of students in the CSE branch are annually placed in on-campus drives. The highest package offered was 55,00,000 p.a., whereas the average was around 16,00,000 p.a. Companies that hire students include companies like Microsoft (3 students—PPO), Amazon, Adobe, Infosys, Wipro, etc. Most of the students were offered the role of software developer. Students from 7th semester onwards are allowed to sit in placement drives, while students from 5th semester are allowed to sit for internship opportunities, companies that look for interns in our college include Infosys, TCS, Vedanta, L&T Construction, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is average as the building was built in 1956. The main building has Wi-Fi connections, which do not work well in classes although they do fine in labs and libraries. The library is big and it has lots of books related to engineering. The college has several grounds for supporting sports and outdoor activities. It has a basketball court, several badminton courts, table tennis tables, a handball field, a volleyball field, a football and a cricket field. But the maintenance of these grounds is not proper. The cricket ground is also called NIT Lake among the students as it is usually filled with water for about 4-5 months of the year. NIT Raipur also has a gym, SBI ATM machines, Vachan Parlor, Amul Parlour and Canteen. Hostels are not for every person that requires them; there are a limited number of hostel rooms so the students are shortlisted on the basis of their marks and the distance of their residence from college. The facilities of the hostel are good though; you get a LAN port in your rooms, a table tennis table in the mess, badminton courts, well-maintained washrooms and the guards are present 24/7 to ensure the safety and security of students. Food available is also good; non-vegetarians get chicken on Fridays. There is a medical room in our college itself; apart from that, AIMS Raipur is also nearby, so in case of emergency, students can go there.
Faculty: The professors are highly qualified and knowledgeable. They are approachable, which makes learning enjoyable and fun. The quality of the teaching is therefore really good. The curriculum of this course is well structured but the scope of improvement remains in the area of industrial needs. The semester exams are not very tough and are doable, but the spread of exams sometimes puts immense pressure on the students.
Other: I chose this course because of the placements and average package it offers. The best thing about the course is that it is relevant to industry demands and helps you land your dream job. The scope of improvement is always persistent, even with the best. NIT Raipur can adapt to different teaching styles and should consider inviting industry experts or people working in industries to interact with the students so they can benefit. The exam schedule could also be improved, as it may help lower the stress on the students. Their are multiple events and festivals that take place in NIT Raipur. This gives you the chance to interact with lots of people, including seniors and upper seniors and that is a whole new set of experiences for students. The festivals organised are really grand and are considered the best in central India.
