Absolutely satisfied because of faculty, average placement, really good infrastructure, etc.
Placements: Hardly five to ten percent of students are placed in our college. The highest package on campus is hardly 4 Lacs. The top recruiting companies for my course are LNT, Adani Group, RIL (Reliance Industries Limited), and many other private limited or limited companies.
Infrastructure: Our library is very vast with air conditioning, and it also has Wi-Fi facilities. Our classrooms have air conditioning and Wi-Fi. There are almost every type of lab present. The workshop is also very good and big for students, with CNC machines and other machines like lathes, drilling , etc.
Faculty: Teachers are supportive, and most of them are qualified for IITs and NITs. Semester exams are not too difficult for average students from schools. The 2nd year is a little more difficult than other years. The teaching quality of many teachers is good.

Placements: Average package is 10 Lacs. And in our college even in our brand mechanical engineering department we get 20-30% of placement. The top roles offered to our college is generally a employees position & max to max HR position. The lowest package is 4 Lacs .
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of our college is perfect. There are many facilities provided to our college their is a big with 1000 seating capacity as well as we have different courts of different sports we have cricket, football as well as badminton court. Wi-Fi is also available in our college.
Faculty: We are from mechanical department and in now day for mechanical department cnc machines is too much important and it is available on our college. Our college has specific course of cnc machines & they also gave it Certificate by 75%+ attendance. Exams are tough but you study then you will get good marks.

It was an excellent college in Raipur, and it provided good placements in 2021.
Placements: In our college, almost 30-40% of students are placed. The highest salary package offered is 15 LPA. Top recruiting companies like Google, Amazon, etc., visit our campus. Our college offers many courses, such as computer science, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, electrical and electronics engineering, and electronics and telecommunications.
Infrastructure: Our college provides excellent infrastructure. Wi-Fi is available. Labs are good. Projectors are available in all classrooms. The hostel facilities are not available. A canteen is available. The quality of food in the canteen is good. A variety of food items are served in the canteen.
Faculty: Our teachers are well-qualified. Some teachers completed their M.Tech from IITs in Delhi and Kanpur. The course curriculum is relevant. It makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are average.
Other: I chose this course because of my interest in machines. Events and fests are excellent. Scholarships are provided.

Our college experience is good.
Infrastructure: The hostel facility is available but students preferred PG or rental view. It provides well-maintained laboratories, a highly advanced classroom, library with standard books, on-campus canteen facility is also available, for a medical facility the nearest hospital is available. For sports a big college ground is available.
Faculty: Teachers are well experienced and qualified. Teaching quality is of a high standard and very helpful. The total duration of the course is 4 years i.e total of 8 semesters. Passing the semester exam is necessary otherwise students will not get admission in the next semester. If students are failing in exams college will conduct apply exam. Those students who pass apply exam eligible for admission next semester.
Other: I opted for this course, because I want to become an engineer from childhood. Our course gives students new skills. Every year college organise fest for 1 week. Students are divided according to their branch which they choose i.e mechanical, civil, electrical, IT. After completing the course companies offered top students for jobs. The rest of the students give the GATE exam or prepare for civil exams.

I am satisfied with the performance of our college.
Placements: None of the students gets placed from our course, but recently placements are conducted here. The highest salary package offered here was up to 10 LPA. The internship rate is also less. Companies which visit our college to recruit students are from the state only and not from outside the state.
Infrastructure: Everything is up to the mark here, and the quality of the food served is also up to the mark. Other facilities are very good. The library is very satisfying with a huge number of books, and it is very reasonable. Sports and games are organised well, and a huge number of events are organised on the sports day.
Faculty: Teachers here are well qualified and also very good in nature. The course curriculum is helpful for every student because, as being a mechanical engineering student, you come to know more about practical life. This course has helped me to see things in a more logical and better manner now.
Other: The mechanical course is very interesting because of its subjects, and when you get the right teachers, it becomes better. The fest and other events are well organised here. I think there's no need to improve anything in the mechanical course.

GEC is good if you want to prepare for exams, and need ample free time.
Placements: Campus placements are not conducted in the college till now, and they might be offered in the upcoming years. You will have to go for GATE or other competitive exams. Thus, the students should start preparation from the third year itself. You will surely get enough time to prepare for exams.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure facilities provided in the classrooms is good. Labs are still being developed. The campus is not much huge. IIM, Raipur and IIT, Bhilai are running temporarily in GEC building. The hostels are also occupied by IIT students. Thus, the students of GEC have to stay outside, in PGs.
Faculty: Mostly, the faculty present in the college are freshers who passed out M.Tech. Do not expect much teaching quality. Although, we can find a few faculty who are enthusiastic. The course curriculum is standard and would meet national-level standards. Exams are pretty easy; it doesn't take much effort to get through.

A review of Government Engineering College, Raipur.
Placements: There is a TPO cell in GEC, Raipur. It is quite new. Don't expect high-paying jobs from the college. Placements are average, and they are not good for core branches. CSE students might get placed. You have to prepare for GATE or other government exams to get placed in core companies. Otherwise, you can get a marketing or sales job through campus placements.
Infrastructure: All the classrooms are equipped with A/Cs and projectors. As IIT Bhilai took over the campus, GEC is restricted to only one building. All the hostels are taken over by IIT Bhilai, so there are no hostel facilities for GECians. Wi-Fi facility is available, and the library is quite good and huge. There is a huge auditorium in the administrative block. A new CNC machine is installed in the mechanical department. Once IIT moves to its own campus at Bhilai, the campus will be good enough for an engineering college, but it may take more 5 to 10 years to shift. The library will definitely help you in studies. It is quite huge and not crowded often.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college are good, especially in the mechanical department. They are post-graduates from IITs and NITs. They can surely help you understand the concepts.
Other: The campus is huge, and IIT Bhilai is also present on the same campus.

Bad placements, below average faculties but good infrastructure.
Placements: Placements were pathetic as none of the placement companies visited our campus. The only students who got placed were ones who cracked the GATE exam or through open placements. Students here do get a chance for vocational training but with zero stipends. For vocational training purposes, they themselves have to send the requirement to the companies as the college does not provide such a facility.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good in about a 7-acre campus with spacious classrooms and a playground facility. The library also provides students with the required books maybe a few times but is lacking in the availability of important books. The labs are not equipped with sufficient instruments which need to be there. A canteen opened in our college last year only when we were passing out and a hostel facility was also not there.
Faculty: I think that the college requires more qualified faculty members with more teaching experience and more permanent faculty members. They usually teach on blackboards and sometimes through PPTs. One time during my graduation, they gave us an industry visit chance other than the two vocational training sessions I have done. The course curriculum was bit useful but not sufficient.
Other: There is an annual fest every year which is good and fulfilling. The college is a value for money in the sense the fee structure is very low as we use to pay a fee of about 18000 per year. Every year, sports such as cricket, football, kho-kho etc are conducted in which you can participate.
