Dissatisfied with the government college that students get by giving competitive exams like JEE.
Placements: Placement of this Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University college is one of the worst in terms of return on investment. The highest is 27 LPA, and the average is 6.11 LPA. Even though this is a government college, the placement is even less than that of the other private colleges of the university.
Infrastructure: Even though the college looks good, it doesn't have that many good facilities. The college Wi-Fi is not that good, it is very slow. But the canteen is even worse, you can see rats roaming around the canteen. This is really concerning as the canteen is the place where many students eat.
Faculty: Although the curriculum is revised according to the new education policy. But the exam pattern is really bad. This year, there was a change in the whole subject, and the teacher didn't even know about that, and we had to study that subject from scratch in just two days for the exam.

USAR, IPU-EDC has good infrastructure, facilities, and placements.
Placements: As the east campus of IPU has just been opened, the placement record is not very detailed. The highest placement was from the IIOT branch of 27 LPA, and the overall average placement is around 6-7 LPA. Being a college with a focus on automation and robotics (AR), the AR placement is yet to improve as not many robotics-based companies are coming for placement, and especially high placement ones. For that reason, AR's average placement is still low. As per internship opportunities, I have seen my seniors working for many big organizations like DRDO, IITs, ISRO, etc.
Infrastructure: According to the information, this college may even have the best infrastructure among all IPU colleges. Centralized AC classrooms, with Wi-Fi connectivity, a library providing several course books, computer access for online studies, web surfing, etc. Including a big sports complex for mainly badminton, grounds, etc.
Faculty: Recently, the course curriculum was updated as per Industry 4.0. We are learning DSA in our 1st year of college many unnecessary subjects were even removed. Most of the teachers felt quite supportive, obviously, with some exceptions, not much of an attendance issue, except for the labs. The major red lags are the 2 mid-seems, which are really bothering it, obstructing the time of learning new skills or anything else.
Other: Automation and robotics (AR) is a blooming field, the only thing is that there are not many high-paying companies coming to our college. However, you can complete your Master's from any foreign university or any other better institutions after GATE, which most students choose. Another thing is that I would like my course to be more software-focused too, for IT sector jobs or software in robotics, which might still be there but not explored by me yet.

Other: USAR provides B.Tech programs in specialized fields like Automation & Robotics and Industrial IoT, each with 120 seats, totaling 480 across four streams. Integrated 5 year B.Tech/M Tech dual degrees are also available in similar specializations, with 120 seats each. The curriculum emphasizes hands on labs, projects, and industry interaction for practical skills.

It has decent placement and strong technical exposure.
Placements: I belong to the VTECAIML batch of the University School of Automation and Robotics. Around 70 to 77 percent of students from our college are placed through campus placement. The highest placement package offered is approximately 18 LPA. The lowest package is around 4 LPA, and the average package is near 7 LPA to 8 LPA.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure at USAR is modern and well maintained. The campus provides high speed Wi-Fi, smart classrooms, advanced robotics, automation and AI electronics, and labs are well stocked. There are digital and physical libraries. Labs are equipped with real time, industrial tools, simulation, software and robotics kits which help in hands-on learning.
Faculty: Faculty members are highly qualified, experienced, and supportive. Most teachers have strong, academic background, and industry exposure. They are always ready to help students with projects and research guidance. Teaching quality is good with a mixture of theory practical session and project based learning.
Other: The courses at US offer good value for money, considering the quality of education, infrastructure, experienced faculty, and placement opportunities. The campus crowd is diverse, disciplined, and academically focused with students from different backgrounds. Campus life is lively with technical fast, cultural events, hackathons, workshops, seminars, clubs, etc. Scholarships and financial assistance are available for eligible students. Extracurricular activities help in overall personality development.

Infrastructure is good, syllabus is updated, and focused on practical learning.
Placements: Placements are average. The package is around 8 LPA - 10 LPA in AI-ML and AIDS courses. The highest package is 28 LPA in IIOT, but average of IIOT is less. But still as compared to the rank in JEE at which it is available is value for money. 80-85% of students are placed. Companies like TCS and GoDaddy are recruiters.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is up to date, labs are updated, computer labs have i7-10generation processors, internet speed is 1000 MBPS, and connected using ethernet. The campus is fully air-conditioned. Auditorium is good. Campus size is not very large but it's satisfactory.
Faculty: Faculty is variable. Some are really good and some are not, but the courses which actually help in getting us placed in a company. We have good faculty, and they teach good. They focus more on practical learning than traditional theory things. Overall, it is satisfactory.

Good if you are not getting the Dwarka campus, DTU, or NSUT decent branches.
Placements: In 2024-25, around 45-50 percent of students got placed. The highest package offered is about 27 LPA, the average package is around 6 LPA, and the lowest package is approximately 3 LPA-4 LPA. The median is about 5 LPA. Only a limited number of students received on-campus internships, with most students securing off-campus internships. Common roles offered are Software Developer, Data Analyst, Cloud/DevOps, and technical roles.
Infrastructure: We have an average infrastructure, but a cool-looking building. Some labs in the 2nd and 3rd years don't have equipment. We have a sports hall, but you can only play badminton in it. There is no sports equipment in the college. Our ground is very small. We don't have a gym. Canteen food is decent and affordable.
Faculty: You get all types of teachers here, sweet, arrogant, who are only dependent on their PPTs and can't explain anything to anyone. Some are here to just release their student frustration. In this semester of 5 months, we have given exams for 3 months. I don't know whether this is for this semester or for all upcoming semesters.
Other: Our main fest is Anoogonj, which is held in the Dwarka campus. But our college also organizes multiple events, which are pretty good.

Facilities and faculty are good, placement is not that good, but yes, it can be.
Placements: In my batch, 50% of students got placed, and highest package is around 65 LPA, and lowest package is around 7 LPA. Students can get their internship from 2nd year, although percentage of internships is quite low, but yes, it will increase over the year, number of tech companies is larger.
Infrastructure: University School of Automation and Robotics offers a well-structured academic infrastructure to support the B.Tech in automation and robotics programme. Course is equipped with modern classrooms, specialized laboratories for robotics, automation, and embedded systems, as well as computer labs with updated software tools for simulation and design. The institute also encourages hands-on learning through workshops, industry projects, and research initiatives. In terms of accommodation, the university provides hostel facilities that are well-maintained and student-friendly, offering essential amenities such as furnished rooms, Wi-Fi, mess facilities, common rooms, and a safe environment.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, although they are strict in terms of internal marks, but overall, teachers are very good in terms of behaviour and academics too. Obviously, the course is relevant and also there are many subjects like human ethics and soft skills that make a student industry-ready in all forms. Mid-semester is very difficult, and end-semester is in medium range like neither difficult nor easy. Passing percentage is 80%.

Engineering in East Delhi - A complete review of the course and campus life.
Placements: Around 70-85% of students from the computer science and related branches get placed every year. The placement scenario is better for students with good academic records, project portfolio, and competitive coding skills. The highest package is 12 LPA - 27 LPA (offered by product-based companies like GoDaddy). The lowest package is 3 LPA to 4 LPA (service-based companies like TCS, Wipro, and Infosys).
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available across campus, including libraries and labs. Speed is decent for academic use (browsing, online classes, github, coding platform). Some buildings may have a weak signal, but overall access is satisfactory. Classrooms are spacious, ventilated, and equipped with projectors. Smart classrooms (in select buildings) are used for important lectures and seminars. Rooms are provided on a shared basis (2/3 students per room). Basic furniture bed, study table, chair, and cupboard are available.
Faculty: Most professors hold M.Tech or Ph.D. degrees from reputed institutes like IITs, NITs, and Delhi-based universities. Guest lecturers from industry are sometimes invited for specialized topics. Teaching style is theoretical with blackboard or projector-based explanation. Some professors use real-world examples and case studies, especially in final-year electives. Coding-centric subjects (like DSA, DBMS, and OS) depend heavily on self-study and external resources. Semester exams are moderately difficult. It is mostly theory-based, with direct questions from lectures or previous papers. Application or case-based questions are rare, though they are increasing slowly.
Other: I chose B.Tech in computer science because of my strong interest in technology, problem-solving, and innovation. The field offers vast career opportunities from software development and artificial intelligence to cybersecurity and data science. Its a future-proof domain with excellent growth potential and scope for creativity and entrepreneurship. Best things about the course are that strong core curriculum subjects like data structures, DBMS, OS, and networking provide a solid technical foundation. There is high demand in job market, opportunities are abundant in MNCs, startups, and government sectors. Even off-campus options are strong. More industry-driven curriculum, including trending technologies like cloud, devOps, cybersecurity, blockchain, and AI frameworks should be formalized. Some colleges still use outdated systems, better hardware and licensed software can help. More practical exposure like real-world projects, industrial visits, and startup tie-ups should be encouraged from early semesters. More faculty members with corporate or research experience would improve quality.
