B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering - Batch of 2026

Good infrastructure and supportive faculty members with decent placements.
Placements: Around 75-85% of students got placed. The highest package is 10 LPA. The lowest salary is 3 LPA, and average salary is around 4.5 LPA. Top recruiters included Aveva, TCS, Infosys, Wipro, and Capgemini. About 60% of students got internships in companies like Tata, L&T, and Tech Mahindra for developer and analyst roles.
Infrastructure: In our college good infrastructure, advanced labs, advanced equipments, best library, and digital classes are available. We have well-equipped labs, smart classrooms, Wi-Fi, library, decent hostel, hygienic mess, canteen, basic medical care, and good sports facilities create a supportive academic environment.
Faculty: Teachers are supportive, well-qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is good, combining theory with practical applications. The course curriculum is industry-relevant. Semester exams are of moderate difficulty, and the average pass percentage ranges from 80% to 90%.

OUTSKIRT COLLEGE with all good facilities.
Placements: The placements are good. When we left, our batch got nearly 500 placements. For IT companies, this is the best one. The top recruiters here include Wipro, Virtusa, and Amazon. You will also get core companies.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is top-notch in Hyderabad with 100 acres and full greenery. Everything is available here: the top canteen, mess, sports. The classrooms are spacious and well-constructed. The playground is good for cricket, which is popular among most guys here.
Faculty: Faculty is, I think, somewhat lacking, and the campus was quite strict at my time. The IT background score is the best. The semesters here are a bit difficult. What I love about this college is that it's on the outskirts, so you won't waste your time roaming. If you are minded like that, you may want to go.
Other: For an IT background, this college is the best. You will also get a scholarship. The surroundings are good with no pollution.

It is an excellent college for good life.
Placements: GNIT college is the best for students who want to get jobs quickly. In our college, about 85% of students get placements every year. The salary package offered starts from 5 LPA and the highest salary package offered was 2.7 LPA in our course. Top recruiting companies were Tata, Strive, Google, Amazon, Infosys, Byjus, Tech Mahindra, Surya Tech Solution, and many other companies. Our course had internships to provide practical knowledge to students and companies that offered internships were Tech Mahindra and Google. About 60% of students get internship every year. Top roles offered were project leader and group leader which helped us to enhance our leadership skills.
Infrastructure: Our GNIT college had one of the best infrastructures for our course. We had the best labs with good equipment, spacious classrooms, the best library, and free Wi-Fi for college students. Our college had a good hostel with a moderate fee structure. The hostel provided good facilites to students like study chairs, air-conditioned rooms, a refrigerator, and many other facilities. Our college provided good hygienic food for students. The mess and canteen were very clean. Our hostel provided medical facilites for students. Our college conducted weekly sports for students.
Faculty: At GNIT, teachers were very helpful and highly qualified. Our teachers were very knowledgeable and their teaching quality was very good. They were friendly with students and always helpful. Our course circulum was very good and average students can also score good marks. Our course circulum increased practical knowledge for students and it made students ready for industrial jobs. Semester exams were easy and an average student can also score good marks in the semester. Every year, about 79% of students pass our course.
Other: Mechanical engineering was my favorite course and I was passionate from my childhood so I chose this course. The best thing about our course is we can learn everything practically. To improve our course, we have to read consistently. Our college conducted many events like fests, traditional day, food fest, annual day, freshers party, yoga day, and many other events to enjoy students. Our college was surrounded by many other facilities. Our college didn't provide any scholarships or extracurricular activities.

I am disappointed with the college placements.
Placements: Around 60% of mechanical students got placed. I was placed in Capgemini through the offline drive in our 5th semester. Around 50% of students are placed on-campus. The highest salary package is 6.5 LPA, the lowest salary package is 3 LPA, and the average salary package is 3.5 LPA. Wipro is the top recruiting company on-campus. All the students who are placed got internships in IT companies in which they are placed. Project Engineer and data analyst are the top roles offered.
Infrastructure: All the labs are available in our department but only 2 labs have all the equipment. We don't have Wi-Fi. There is a library and good classrooms. Hostel fee was too expensive.
Faculty: Teachers were helpful, highly qualified, and knowledgeable. The quality was good but not that effective. Our college is affiliated with JNTUH which is very relevant to our curriculum and it is very effective to make students industry-ready. Jntuh is majorly known for the difficulty of its exams. The pass percentage is 60%.
Other: I chose this course as I am interested in the technical field. The best part about this branch is it teaches you the hardware thing which is very underestimated in our society. Events and fests are rarely held. Campus crowd is big in number and the connectivity is not bad. Campus surroundings are neat and good. Scholarship is given by our state government up to Rs.35,000 per annum. Extracurricular activities are held during fests and events.

Our college is good as it is good for girls security.
Placements: Our batch was going very well in all the ways like placements. Around 90% are placed and few are planning for higher studies. Top companies like TCS, Wipro, and Amazon are hiring the best role with good salary packages and internship opportunities.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure was good with the best labs of excellent quality. There is a TSI where we can get more knowledge practically and a good quality hostel with the huge ground.
Faculty: Faculty was more than enough with high knowledge in all ways along with studies. They are always ready with an exact curriculum to improve skills and make ready for any opportunities with a high quantity of knowledge. More informative faculty with high qualifications is provided.

Our college has the best facilities.
Placements: Around 20% were placed. The highest salary package is 10 LPA and the lowest salary package was 1.9 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Virtusa, TCS, Infosys, Capgemini, Cognizant, Infotech, Amazon, etc.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is fine. College has all the labs with high-quality equipment and a good library environment for mechanical. There is a great use of TSI and get more knowledge in automobiles.
Faculty: Faculty was more knowledgeable, more friendly, and guide very well. They help in planning higher education. Teaching quality was amazing and improves any kind of student to become great. Faculty follows the curriculum in the best way for helping students.
Other: Our course was the best because without machines nothing can possible like a front end for all sources of engineering branches.

The college seems good from the outside, but it is different when you are there.
Placements: Most of the placements that are provided by this college are related to software and sales. I recommend everyone take a course related to the IT field as most of the jobs at present are related to software. At present, 30% of students are placed in our section, i. e., mechanical engineering. The highest salary package offered for a mechanical engineer is 2.5 LPA. At present, the software field is booming and high recruitment is happening in the software field. Students are placed in software fields only.
Infrastructure: The campus provides a good hostel facility, but it costs Rs. 75,000 per year. The infrastructure is not good. The infrastructure of a college plays a vital role in the development of the college as students are now focusing on the labs, classrooms, etc. while selecting a college. It is important that the colleges have very good infrastructure, with advanced laboratories equipped with state-of-the-art equipment, etc.
Faculty: The faculty is not good and they were not good at teaching too. At present new faculty are admitted and they don't know about the subjects in detail. The faculty are more pressurized from the respective department heads due to extra work allocation. Conducting of exams is good because it follows JNTUH pattern .
Other: Fewer events and fests are conducted by the college. Students are treated as if they were in school. There is less encouragement given by the management towards extracurricular activities.

The college is top end by looks but below par by learnings.
Placements: About 30% of students were placed in our college. The highest salary package offered was about 15 LPA and the lowest salary package we got was about 2 LPA. The companies which will hire students from our college were TCS, Wipro, Virtusa, and Capgemini. I am from the mechanical department and most of the placements were related to sales.
Infrastructure: The library is above average and the labs are not up to the mark. I am from the mechanical branch. We have a CAD lab where we don't have the proper system facility. In the total semester, we went to the lab only twice. The hostel facilities were very good.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college basically don't have much experience as they just completed their M.Tech and joined our college. As our batch is under JNTUH, the curriculum is the same as JNTUH. In our college, they do not even give students the option to select elective subjects.
