My college is the best college and scored NRF Rank One in Delhi University.
Placements: Almost 45 to 50 students are in my course. The highest package is around 23 LPA, and the lowest is around 15 LPA, with an average package of around 18 LPA. The top recruiting companies are Google, Gemini, and many more. Almost 95 percent of the students got internships in college.
Infrastructure: There are many facilities available in my course, such as AC classrooms and restrooms. A great Wi-Fi facility is also available at every point in my college and department. The hostel quality is very good, and a great hostel for boys is being built in my college.
Faculty: The teachers helped me a lot at every point in my life and guided me in getting successful. The teachers also have great knowledge. The teaching quality is very good. This course curriculum is relevant. It makes students industry-ready. The semester exams are very easy, and we can pass them by studying continuously.
Other: I chose this course because it provides great knowledge, and I have also learned a lot of skills from this course. I wish the labs should be improved and new apparatus should be provided. Events also happen in my college like Meka. Great events happen every year with great efficiency.

B.A. (Hons.) in Sociology - Batch of 2027

College and faculty are good. NEP is not good though.
Placements: We don’t get any direct placements in our degree (Sociology Hons.). However, we can do internships and work in NGOs and research centres to study and collect data, which will be helpful in getting opportunities in the UNO and other big organisations. There are no top roles offered in my course; we have to do an M.A. and Ph.D. for top roles. Graduation in Sociology is not for direct jobs, you have to study further to get a job.
Infrastructure: We have good infrastructure in our college. Recently, a public policy lab was opened, and two more floors were constructed in the college library. We have a gym and an open badminton court in the hostel along with a common room. Food in the mess is above average, but the college canteen has good food. We don’t have ACs in most of our classrooms.
Faculty: Most of our teachers are alumni. This course mainly helps us understand society and how one thing is connected to the whole of society. Semester exams are not very difficult, as we already get some ideas through PYQs. Around 63 percent is necessary for upgrading to the next year, I think.
Other: I wanted to choose Political Science Hons., but it had a cutoff of 794 out of 800 for the general category. I got 770, but I wanted to study in Hindu College only, so I chose this course. Events are above average, but last year our annual college fest is cancelled, which is very disappointing.

Its in north campus. NIRF is 1.
Placements: 80 percent of students are placed in my course. The highest package is 1LP and the lowest is 50 K. There are no companies, but you can do a Ph.D. and tech in clgs. There is no company related thing in my course. Teaching is a top role offered in my course. So basically in B.A. Hons Hindi, you can do a PhD.
Infrastructure: Facilities are not too good, but basic facilities are similar for all departments. My department is basically a little back. Hostel qualities are really nice. Food, cleaning, sports, rooms, etc. Everything is fine. Our Hostel is semi private, so fee is a little high.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified and knowledgeable and even sweet and good in nature. Their teaching quality is good. This course is easy and relevant. It makes the student industry ready. Semester exams are not very tough. You can study before 1 month.
Other: I love my course.

The best college in Delhi University.
Placements: So basically, in botany hons, mostly students are approached by edutech companies like Vedantu, Pw. Multinational companies usually don't approach botany honors students due to obvious reasons. So, being very honest, this course is for those who want to pursue their career in the education field.
Infrastructure: Laboratories and classrooms are 10/10, fully air-conditioned classes with smart classes. The cleanliness is very good. About the infrastructure of Hindu College, it is 10/10. The campus is very beautiful and clean, the hostels are very neat and clean, and proper hygiene is maintained in the washrooms.
Faculty: The top faculty are hired at the Hindu College. Teachers are mostly very intellectual and very intelligent, having mostly graduated from top universities and colleges. Per year 2 semester exams are being held, and the level of exams is moderate, and 33 percent of marks is required to pass.
Other: I chose this course because of my interest in botany, and regarding the improvement, the placement facilities in this course can be improved. And regarding the fest, Hindu College organizes the largest fest of DU MECCA.

Great facilities but a little high priced for a government college but definitely worth it.
Placements: I am a Social Science student and students from social sciences do not have a lot of placement opportunities. Even if they do its only in marketing or hr roles. My department has not specifically reached out for placements. Its only the college placement cell that you apply to for placements. Most of the humanities students rely on internships government exams and higher studies.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is top notch. The library is very aesthetic and is facilitated with many floors. It has many academic books Wi-Fi and computer center as well. Getting into the girls hostel is difficult due to fewer seats but the facilities are great with 4 times meals AC laundary and all the necessary services.
Faculty: The faculty is really qualified and gives their best. The curriculum is difficult and completely academic though. Exams are not extremely difficult but you need to put in the work. The continuous assessment and minimum 67 percent attendance part is a little irritating but you get through somehow.

Dedicated faculty great infrastructure average food in the mess crazy crowd on campus.
Placements: The placement in my college depends on the course actually Generally students pursuing B.Com (Hons), etc get placed. Students from a Science background generally go for a Masters. The Average package of students getting placed is 8 LPA in my college.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is pretty good with facilities like Wi-Fi Canteen and labs available. The canteen and open cafeteria offer decent food with affordable pricing. In hostel the infrastructure is nice but the mess food is very average. Students staying in the hostel are not really satisfied with the price we are paying for the food available.
Faculty: Faculty of my college and especially in my department is really impressive they are experienced and dedicated towards their work. Exams are not that tough you can manage scoring well along with preparing for other exams in your final year. Its manageable even if you are part of some college societies/clubs.
Other: I chose this course because I was interested in pursuing Chemistry. The best things about my college are the practical knowledge in labs that helps to clear my concept further.

  • Make a list of topics, subject wise
  • Segregate the subjects and topics into easy and difficult as per personal experience.
  • Note down topics that will carry maximum weightage (as per previous year’s question papers).

Q:   How can I get admission in Hindu College, Delhi?
A:

Hindu College admission for UG courses (as per DU) will be through Common Seat Allocation System of the University of Delhi. But, at first, it is necessary that aspirants opt for DU during CUET form filling and later apply on the CSAS portal to be eligible for admission. The admission process after CUET result declaration is explained below:

Step 1: After the declaration of the CUET UG exam, register on the DU CSAS portal in multiple phases.

Step 2: Submit College + Course combination preferences in the order of priority on the CSAS dashboard. Here student must select their preferred course and Hindu College as the option.

Step 3: The University will release the dates for DU CSAS Seat Allocation Lists for all categories.

  • The "freeze" option in seat allocation for CSAS (DU) is to be selected by the students to confirm their admission choice to the allocated college and course at DU.
  • If candidates are happy with the assigned college and course, they can freeze the request through their dashboard.
  • Once they select this option, they will not be considered for "upgradation" of choice in further rounds of CSAS.
  • Candidates must only select this option only if they are satisfied with the allocated seat and want to take admission to this course & college
  • If they do not choose to upgrade or freeze your admission, their current status will be maintained.

Step 4: Once the candidate "Accept" the provisionally allocated seat, the concerned college will verify the eligibility and documents uploaded by the candidate online. The college has an option to 'Accept' or 'Reject' the admission of the student basis the verification.

Step 5: Once Hindu college accords the approval, candidates will have to pay the 'Admission Fee' to confirm their seat.

On the basis of the availability of seats due to rejections, cancellations, and withdrawals, DU colleges may announce multiple allocation rounds. The University of Delhi will display the vacant seats on its admission website (admission.uod.ac.in) before every allocation round.
