Hindu College has an amazing curriculum.

Placements: Many students may not sit for placements as they choose to give UPSC or pursue a Master's. But placement opportunities are decent overall. Specifically for Sociology Hons., there may not be a lot of opportunities because most of the placements go to Economics or Statistics students.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is really good. We have spacious and air-conditioned classrooms. The furniture is not the best, but it's still pretty decent. Although Wi-Fi connectivity is currently poor, progress is being made. Girls' hostel is good too, and rooms are spacious with natural lighting. Common washrooms are maintained very clean.

Faculty: Our Sociology department has the best teachers. They are extremely knowledgeable in the discipline. They are kind mentors who guide us through every difficulty that we might face. The curriculum is amazing as well. We get to read a wide range of scholars with varying ideologies.

As a public college, infrastructure and facilities are surprisingly great.

Placements: Being one of the top colleges in India, the placement record at Hindu College is pretty decent. The best offers are provided to the Commerce and Economics departments. There are also many internship opportunities available for us as students of this college.

Infrastructure: The hostel facilities and the quality of food in the mess and canteen are very good. Our college also provides a dedicated space for sports personalities to grow and learn. Furthermore, our classrooms are equipped with air conditioning and large windows that allow plenty of sunlight to pass through.

Faculty: The professors all hold Ph.D. degrees and possess outstanding knowledge in their respective fields. The curriculum is also really interesting; for instance, students get to learn about real-world situations happening not only around themselves but also worldwide through Sociology.

Other: Overall, the college provides a really great experience, not only in terms of the curriculum, but also through extra-curricular activities.

College and faculty are good. NEP is not good though.

Placements: We don’t get any direct placements in our degree (Sociology Hons.). However, we can do internships and work in NGOs and research centres to study and collect data, which will be helpful in getting opportunities in the UNO and other big organisations. There are no top roles offered in my course; we have to do an M.A. and Ph.D. for top roles. Graduation in Sociology is not for direct jobs, you have to study further to get a job.

Infrastructure: We have good infrastructure in our college. Recently, a public policy lab was opened, and two more floors were constructed in the college library. We have a gym and an open badminton court in the hostel along with a common room. Food in the mess is above average, but the college canteen has good food. We don’t have ACs in most of our classrooms.

Faculty: Most of our teachers are alumni. This course mainly helps us understand society and how one thing is connected to the whole of society. Semester exams are not very difficult, as we already get some ideas through PYQs. Around 63 percent is necessary for upgrading to the next year, I think.

Other: I wanted to choose Political Science Hons., but it had a cutoff of 794 out of 800 for the general category. I got 770, but I wanted to study in Hindu College only, so I chose this course. Events are above average, but last year our annual college fest is cancelled, which is very disappointing.

No words can describe my experience. It's been only a month, but I am already in love with campus!

Placements: Sociology isn't a course that gives placements. A few students are going to the University of Warsaw for a semester exchange programme, and that's the biggest opportunity. That's the best thing we can have, that's it. I don't think any other government colleges provide this.

Infrastructure: We have the best library with 3 floors. Our college has the best auditorium in the entire north campus. There is nothing as good as Hindu College in any means of comparison.

Faculty: Faculty members are good. They are all flexible with students and love to explain things in such a way that we can understand them easily. They are well qualified. I feel the course curriculum is a little irrelevant, not so much. Faculty members are helpful and guide us on how to focus on things well, which part to give more attention to, and how to balance the whole college with extracurricular things.

Other: Sociology is only offered by a few colleges. Especially for boys, it is such a versatile course that helps to increase thinking skills. Doing the course at Hindu College adds up to the best infrastructure and faculty. It has the best campus life!

I’m quite satisfied because of the infrastructure and diversity.

Placements: Well, I am pursuing a B.A. Hons Sociology, so not many of my batchmates sit for placements, and most of them are giving CAT or CUET-PG for Masters, but the placements for commerce-based sources are great, many of my friends got places in Big Four. But even if you are doing socio, you can sit for placements by joining the placement cell of our college.

Infrastructure: Well, the infrastructure is one of the best in DU, with the cleanest washrooms I've come across in DU. A new library with computers has also opened, which is pretty cool. We have Wi-Fi in the library, but not in our entire college, and the network connection is pretty weak. Hostel facilities are pretty decent but only available for girls.

Faculty: Teachers are well-read, and they take regular classes, and are well-versed in their field. The course syllabus is pretty relevant too, we have IA and CA assignments and tests instead of midterms, and exams are pretty fine too, not too hard, one can make do even if they study few days prior.

Great facilities but a little high priced for a government college but definitely worth it.

Placements: I am a Social Science student and students from social sciences do not have a lot of placement opportunities. Even if they do its only in marketing or hr roles. My department has not specifically reached out for placements. Its only the college placement cell that you apply to for placements. Most of the humanities students rely on internships government exams and higher studies.

Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is top notch. The library is very aesthetic and is facilitated with many floors. It has many academic books Wi-Fi and computer center as well. Getting into the girls hostel is difficult due to fewer seats but the facilities are great with 4 times meals AC laundary and all the necessary services.

Faculty: The faculty is really qualified and gives their best. The curriculum is difficult and completely academic though. Exams are not extremely difficult but you need to put in the work. The continuous assessment and minimum 67 percent attendance part is a little irritating but you get through somehow.

Hindu college- Value for money.

Placements: Generally, the placement record of Hindu College is very good because companies like Wipro, TCS, and LG come for campus placement. Mainly 60 to 70 percent of students are able to grab the placement. Also, companies like LIC and Internshala come for internship, as many students want to do internships. The median package offered by the company lies between 6 to 10 LPA.

Infrastructure: The hostel is only available for male students with the facility of free Wi-Fi, hygienic food, a bathroom, a balcony, a hostel library, and a hostel cyber cafe. Also, the hostel provides free medical facilities for all hostellers, but you have to pay a monthly medical fee, which is very minimal.

Faculty: Faculty members are well trained and very friendly; most of them are Ph.D. holders and belong to many prestigious organizations. Our college is following the NEP curriculum, where students can study anything that they want. Exams are conducted twice a year on a semester basis, and semester exams are moderately difficult.

The college is damn good and you will get a great opportunity .

Placements: The highest package would be 5–6 lacs and the lowest would be 3 lacs. Internships are frequent and the companies will hire you if you are qualified and meet their expectations. The percentage of students placed in my course is average but my course is one of the most popular courses at Delhi University.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is one of the best; the auditorium is damn good; the ground is good and quite large; if you are into any outdoor sports, then it would be beneficial to you a lot; the classes are quite big, but there is no facility for speakers in the classes .

Faculty: Teachers are quite arrogant but they are qualified and the syllabus only relies on modules provided by the college stationary; they will provide the reading and just go through them, but on YouTube, you will not get the content of my course because of NEP policy .

Other: I have chosen this because I do want to know this society in depth .
