Yes, candidates can get admission to regular BTech courses at HITAM on the basis of merit. According to the information available on the official website of the institute, HITAM offers 30% of the management seats in the BTech course on the basis of merit. Rest, 70% of seats are filled through the EAPCET, followed by counseling. For merit-based admission, candidates can apply directly through the official website of the institute. However, in merit-based admission, candidates might be required to go through a written test, followed by a PI. 

The HITAM BTech course has been ranked by Times in the years 2022 and 2023. The ranking body has assigned the #90 rank in 2022 and the #80 rank in 2023 to the BTech course. Usually, the ranking allocated by Times is done after evaluating several parameters; some of the parameters are placement packages, faculty, alumni experiences, etc. 

Times is a ranking body that mainly assigned ranks to Engineering courses. Moreover, Time uses both methods, including factual and perceptual data, to give a rank to any course. TSEAMCET Round 1 cutoff 2023 was 16607 for General category candidates in All India quota for BTech in Computer Science and Engineering in Hyderabad Institute of Technology and Management. BTech cut off varies depending on the category and domicile/quota of the applicant.

TS EAMCET Counselling process is ongoing. TS EAMCET Seat Allotment results for Phase 1 Counselling are out. To download the allotment order, candidates must login at the official webiste of TS EAMCET at tseamcet.nic.in. 

To be conducted in three phases TS EAMCET 2025 Phase 2 Counselling process began in July, whereas the Final Phase counselling process will begin August. Based on the candidate's achieved ranks, TS EAMCET seats are allocated. 

The TS EAMCET Counselling 2025 will be conducted in three phases, namely Phase 1, Phase 2, and the Final Phase, for admission into BE/BTech/BPharma courses by the Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE) and will be managed by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad (JNTUH). Further, TS EAMCET (now TS EAPCET) Spot Round will also be conducted for Private Unaided Engineering Colleges.
