Candidates need to pass Class 12 or equivalent examination with at least 50% aggregate and above in English Medium to apply for IBS Hyderabad BBA course. Aspirants must also meet the minimum age requirements as prescribed by the respective board via which the student has appeared for the qualifying exam. If an applicant is found ineligible even at a later date, after admission into the programme will be cancelled.

Getting admission to the flagship courses offered at ICFAI Hyderabad can be a little bit difficult as it requires students to have good scores in entrance exams. Aspirants who are selected based on their scores in entrance test also need to pass Micro Presentation and PI round for MBA. IBS Hyderabad panel conducts interview for five to seven minutes. The panel evaluates the candidate's attitude, clarity of thoughts, communication skills, awareness of current affairs, and their overall readiness for a career in Management.

IBSAT or IBS Aptitude Test is a national-level entrance exam conducted by ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education (deemed to be University) for admission to MBA programme. However, it is not compulsory to appear for IBSAT. Candidates who have appeared for CAT/ NMAT/ GMAT/ XAT and scored well can also get admission to IBS Hyderabad MBA programme. 

IBSAT is a two-hour Computer-based test (CBT) comprising multiple-choice questions. IBSAT is a computer-based test that is generally conducted over a window of two days in December.
