Really good college, like if you make good friends who hustle and are fun at the same time.

Faculty: All teachers are very helpful and well qualified, which will help with their greater insight for a better future in the particular branch. The teaching quality is very good with smart boards and comfortable seats. The curriculum has recently been changed and has become more relevant for the upcoming students. Exams are very decent, not too hard, not too simple, but you can get help from the professor if you are active in class. The passing marks are 40% and above. All this pretty much makes us r...

The glory of IIEST Shibpur, Kolkata.

Faculty: Teachers are well-experienced, knowledgeable, and masters in their field. The curriculum is not that relevant compared to the current job market scenario, but this is also the case with other national institutes. Semester exams are not that difficult, a reasonable amount of study helps in cracking them easily.

Review on IIEST Shibpur in my view overall.

Faculty: Yes, teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Their way of teaching is good. There are 2 exams in 1 semester. They are divided into mid-semester examination and end-semester examination. In the mid-term, half of the syllabus comes in the examination, but in the end-semester examination, the full syllabus will come.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and highly qualified from top institutes in the country. Teaching style is flexible. Mode of teaching is English. Course material is relevant and makes the students industry-ready. Semester exams are there. Two exams are there per semester equipped with several class tests and assignments. Pass percentage is good.

My honest review about my college.

Faculty: Faculty is just more than my expectation. I am being taught by scientists and researchers some of them have done their research and some have written books on NCERT and other boards. Most of the faculty here have either done their Ph.D. or postdocs from abroad. They have worked with many Nobel Prize winners in chemistry. We have only 12 classes and 3 labs per week and are awarded Saturday off along with Sunday. So we had enough time to have fun and spend time on other activities.

Dissatisfied because of poor facility for cricket.

Faculty: Teaching is not bad. However, we don't have good experience as I am still in my 1st year. The 1st-year curriculum is the same for all branches as branch change is available. The course curriculum is not bad. Some of the faculty are not worthy as they don't teach, just read books like Moral.

My honest review of my college.

Faculty: The course is designed based on CSIR, NET, and JRF (for PhD and UPSC CGE through which we can get a job in GSI or CGWB. Faculty members are highly qualified. They are PhD holders from prestigious foreign universities. Teacher interaction is very good in the classroom and they are helpful outside the classroom also. Exams are semester and mid-semester basis. Weekly class tests are also conducted for the assessment of the internal assessment. The course curriculum is perfect for today's needs, and...

IIEST Shibpur is worth it or not.

Faculty: In this college teachers are knowledgeable and helpful. Their teaching quality is nice. In first year all students have to study basics of all departments so I don't know that much about course curriculum but as per my knowledge our college curriculum is good. Semester exams difficult level is moderate to difficult, and pass percentage is around 80%-85%.

It was the best period of my life to spend such a memorable time there.

Faculty: The teaching quality is average, but professors are well-qualified. The course curriculum is relevant and makes me industry-ready. The semester exam is chill for me, mostly, previous year's questions repeat in the exam. The passing grade for the semester exam is 4 SGPA.

It is the 2nd oldest engineering college and the only IIEST in India.

Faculty: Exams are easy to pass if we are willing to put in effort, either one night before or throughout the whole semester. Teachers are approachable and quite frankly. They want us to excel no matter what we do in life. The curriculum I would say is a bit outdated though newer technologies are being taught in higher semesters.

IIEST Shibpur: One of the oldest colleges.

Faculty: The faculty is very good. The college provides a strict curriculum for students, which helps them to perform extraordinarily. The schedule for exams is also fixed, and a good level of questions is being asked. Teachers are also helpful and supportive, which is very helpful for students.

IIEST SHIBPUR Since 1856 - REVIEW.

Faculty: Professors, unlike other college professors, are very helpful, qualified, experienced, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is above average compared to other colleges in West Bengal, except IIT Kharagpur. The course curriculum is not so well relevant for first-year students, and semester exams are not that hard. The pass percentage is around 99 percent.

Yes, an EWS certificate can potentially help you get admission to B.Tech ECE at IIEST. With an EWS rank of 6918 and 96.7 percentile in JEE Mains, you have a good chance of getting into IIEST Shibpur, especially for ECE, though it may depend on the specific cutoffs for that year.
