Good faculty, decent placements, strong alumni network, and average infrastructure.

Infrastructure: The college has a pretty good hostel now which is also newly renovated. Wi-Fi is available 24/7 on campus as well as in the hostel. Library facilities are also very nice (fully AC) giving a 24/7 option for students to study. Right now the library is also expanding to 1 more floor making it a 3-floor library for more capacity.

It's not good like IIT but a good tier to NIT.

Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure are also good. The library is good with free Wi-Fi but the classrooms are old. The college has too many trees which gives a good and pure air, and the campus looks nice but the hostels are old because it's an old college. There is a lack of canteens in college, and there are no night canteens on campus.

2nd oldest engineering college. Oldest Mining department. opportunities and Innovative societies.

Infrastructure: The library is good, 24/7 opened. Hostel infrastructure needs improvement, while a new 1000-seater is under construction. Food quality is somewhere questionable, somewhere good. Halls are places to visit with unique architecture and a good culture of living in single rooms.

if you want to enjoy college life, this is a good choice.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good, but most of the buildings are quite old. The campus is fully Wi-Fi enabled with proper lighting and is well maintained. Hostel facilities are good, and the staff behavior is supportive. The mess food is average, and non-vegetarian food is served most of the time. Medical facilities are available on campus. The sports culture is very active, and inter-college games are held every year.

Old college yet excels at modern engineering.

Infrastructure: Overall, the department is okay, but it needs more space. Labs and libraries are good. Wi-Fi is also available. Hostel infrastructure is bad, and the mess is also not good since this college is very old, the building and toilets have been used for many years without renovation, so it's a bit disappointing, but now they are constructing a new 10-storey 1000-seater boys hostel with a modern look. I hope they increase the quality of the food.

Being an IIESTian – through my journey.

Infrastructure: In my department, there is no Wi-Fi in classrooms. However, it is available in the library. As IIEST Shibpur is the second oldest engineering college in India, the infrastructure is old but good. Classrooms are very clean and neat, with a good number of fans and lights available. To be frank, the quality of food and water in the hostel is poor. Medical facilities are limited to minor issues, but a health card is provided. All sports and games facilities are available with a good number of opport...

Really good college, like if you make good friends who hustle and are fun at the same time.

Infrastructure: The hostels are pretty old and dirty, but are being maintained every year. All the hostels have Wi-Fi with a speed of up to 300 Mbps, and in the curfew hours, like around 10 pm, the speed goes to 30 to 40 Mbps. The campus is clean, but roads are very poorly maintained however, work is underway and will probably be finished in 5 to 6 months. The library is one of the best places with AC and sofas for reading journals and computer desks for studying, and a computer center which will open soon for ...

The glory of IIEST Shibpur, Kolkata.

Infrastructure: Hostel facilities are good, with a new, state-of-the-art 1000-seater hostel. The departments, their labs, and other classrooms are well-maintained. The Central Library, along with the computer center, has a lot of books and resources and air-conditioned study places for students to use.

My honest review about my college.

Infrastructure: So far we have not come to the electives stage that will be given to me in the second year but in the first year, I have to study all three subjects that are physical, organic, and inorganic chemistry. I will opt for physical chemistry as my elective in 2nd year. I am staying in PG and I pay Rs. 6000 per month and the facilities are not very much good but they are just fine to stay. Food is not quality food but it does the job and is better than eating fast food.

My honest review of my college.

Infrastructure: There is no hostel facility in the college as the college is located at a prime location of Jabalpur where a lot of coaching classes. Hotels and PGs are available at a very economical rate which we will not find anywhere else. It is small. The hostel facility is the most attractive thing in this institution and I can definitely suggest one who needs the hostel facility to choose this college.

IIEST Shibpur is worth it or not.

Infrastructure: In first-year classrooms good number of fans and lights are there. They are also very clean and neat but there is no Wi-Fi connection. Labs are also nice. Our hostel buildings are too old, infrastructure is not that good at hostel. Wi-Fi connection is there with good speed. Mess food is decent. Three canteens are there on our campus. Medical facilities are not available (except for everyday and small problems) but they provide health cards. All sports and games facilities are available and good.

About IIEST SHIBPUR formally known as BE college.

Infrastructure: Library is open every day from 10:00 AM to 12:00 AM except Saturday and Sunday, closing time for Saturday and Sunday is 6:00 PM. Wi-Fi is available in library, a quiet place for study. There are separate hostels for girls and boys, and at least 3 days of non-vegetarian food are given to students. Biryani is given 2 times a month. Infrastructure is also good.

Infrastructure: Labs are good. The library has a high-speed Wi-Fi connection. Classrooms are very comfortable, with soundproof walls. The food in the hostel is below average in the first year but gradually improves. Table tennis is available in the hostel. For cricket and football, there are Oval and Lord's grounds.
