According to the IIIT Allahabad, cutoff for Round 1 in 2023, the closing ranks for all BTech specialisations ranged from 4817 to 8428. Candidates with at least 80 percentile can have a good chance of getting selected for an MBA at IIITA. However, the cutoff marks change every year and hence it can vary. The application fees for JEE Main is written below

• INR 1,000 for Male unreserved, OBC, EWS category candidates
• INR 800 for Female unreserved/OBC/EWS category candidates

In 2025, the JEE Main cutoff ranks ranged between 7228 and 9639 for the students belonging to the General AI quota. Therefore, if you belong to the General AI quota, the chances are higher for getting a seat for ECE at IIIT Allahabad.

Admission to the MBA course is on the basis of CAT/XAT/CMAT/GMAT/MAT, followed by a personal interview (PI) round. The selection procedure is completed and carried out as per the IIIT Allahabad criteria. The institute has not released the official cutoff for the MBA course. Candidates seeking admission to the MBA programme should qualify for the basic eligibility criteria, which is a bachelor's degree of a minimum 3-year duration with at least 50% aggregate or equivalent CGPA (45% for SC/ST category students).

For BTech in Information Technology, the maximum JEE Main required cutoff rank was 6926 in the General category under the AI quota. Therefore, a cutoff rank below the rank mentioned here is considered to be a good rank for getting an IT branch at IIIT Allahabad. The category-wise maximum cutoff rank required in 2025 is given below for BTech in IT course. 

To get admission at IIIT Allahabad, students must have a valid score in CAT/ XAT/ CMAT/ MAT/ GMAT. The institute offers a two-year full-time MBA programme for which the final selection is based on students' performance in a Group Discussion and Personal Interview round.

Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Allahabad provides students with a wide range of amenities. Facilities at IIIT Allahabad offer a cosy setting for staff and students. The university contains a library, separate hostels for boys and girls, indoor and outdoor sporting equipment, etc. The meals for the students are provided by the hostel mess. There are currently sports and recreation facilities for cricket, football, badminton, and table tennis. A contemporary gym is provided on IIIT Allahabad campus. Within the university grounds is a medical centre where students can receive medical assistance. Wi-Fi, a strong IT infrastructure, an auditorium, labs, and an ATM are all included in the list of amenities at IIIT Allahabad.

JEE Main Round 6, has been released for admission to the BTech courses. As per IIIT Allahabad JEE Main cutoff 2023, the Round 6 closing rank was 9270 for General category candidates in All India quota for Electronics & Communication Engineering. For female candidates in general category under All India quota, 15613 was the closing rank. BTech cut off varies depending on the category and domicile/quota of the applicant.

To be eligible for an undergraduate (UG) course at IIIT Allahabad, candidates need to qualify in the JEE Main exam and participate in the JoSAA/CSAB counselling. There is no other way to get admission to the B.Tech programs at IIIT Allahabad. Foreign nationals can apply through DASA based on SAT scores. 

IIIT Allahabad cutoff 2025 was released for various BTech course specialisations for the OBC AI category based on the JEE Main entrance examination, followed by the counselling process. 

The overall cutoff range for this category was 210 to 170805. Students can refer to the table below to know the first and final round closing cutoff. 

The admission is entrance-based at the institute. Aspirants are required to apply with a valid score of the course-specific accepted entrance examination in order to apply. The accepted entrance exams are JEE Main, CAT/ XAT/ CMAT/ MAT/ GMAT, GATE, etc. Further, the seat allotment process for BTech and MTech is through JoSAA and CCMT counselling, respectively.

IIIT Allahabad admission 2025 is based on scores obtained in national-level examinations such as JEE Main, DASA UG,  GATE, CAT,  MAT, XAT, etc. For BTech and M.Tech courses admission, candidates have to take part in the counselling rounds as well. Hence, the seat allotment is through JoSAA and CCMT counselling for BTech and MTech, respectively.
