Reality of Indian institute of technology, Raichur.
Placements: For the last 3 years, around 150 students have gotten placements from more than 1500 students. Teachers are not yet permanent. The worst for current students is that they have no connection with any companies till now. They are trying but it will take around 3 to 4 years so please think wisely.
Infrastructure: There is no permanent campus yet; it will take another 2 years until we are in government college. There is no proper place for students; there are no sports, only a few club activities; there are minimum members in a single-boy hostel; hostels are in the worst condition.
Faculty: There is no yet permanent faculty and fewer staff members; they have been taking classes for all 3 years. Exams are conducted by senior students. There is no proper examination because there are few staff members and it is difficult because there are more backlog students than passed students.
Other: Everything should be improved.

As of now, it is okay but by the time we get our permanent campus, it should be better.
Placements: According to the data, around 60% of students got the placement. The highest package was 45 lacs and the lowest package was 4 lacs, and the average was around 12 lacs in the year 2023, which is very good because it was the first placement season at our college. Amazon, C-Dot, etc. were the companies that visited our college for placement.
Infrastructure: As of now, we are currently on a temporary campus at IIIT Raichur. The infrastructure of our hostel is good and satisfying. We get 24-hour Wi-Fi connectivity. Mess food is okay, which is balanced between south Indian and north Indian. We do not have personal ground; as of now, we are playing in the grounds of GC Raichur only.
Faculty: The quality of our faculty is very good. They are well qualified and knowledgeable, which is very helpful. The course curriculum is very balanced. Semester exams are not tough, and you can easily score good marks. Questions are related to the topic covered in class. If you attend the class, then it is a piece of cake, unlike me.

Faculty members are good, but our permanent campus is still not ready.
Placements: This is a new course in IIIT Raichur, starting with the 2023 batch. This is the first batch of AI, so there is nothing about placements. The first batch of CSE is pretty good. The average salary package offered is 18 LPA and we hope we can also get better from here and the college will become better.
Infrastructure: Hostel is average, but we are away from the main campus. It is not built on that campus. The quality of food is pretty good based on what I have heard, hostel food is somewhat nice.
Faculty: Faculty members are very nice and some are very good in their subject. About the course curriculum, I can't say anything. Exam levels are also good and we also get sufficient time for preparation and also for other things, we get sufficient time.
Other: This course is new and also in demand that's why it attracts me. In this course, we learn how to teach machines and make them efficient for the work.

The college does not have their own permanent campus.
Placements: The highest package for 2022 is 45 lpa, and the average package is 22 lpa for the 2023 placement. Top recruiters are Capgemini, Amazon, Jio, Infosys, TCS, c-dot, Maq software, Kiwi, Zydus, etc. A smaller number of students got paid internships. The courses offered in college are CSE, AI and data science.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi facilities are very poor. We have three labs, which take some time but are generally sufficient. Classroom space is okay, but not all classrooms have AC. AC is important in Raichur because the temperature there is always high. The library is small and there are not many books, so getting books can be difficult at times. The hostel is okay, but it is far away from the main building of the college and the food is not so good; it is the same as other mess. Medical facilities are not as we expect; sports and games are okay but some equipment is not available.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and knowledgeable; all faculty members are assistant professors and teaching is not as good as per my view. The course curriculum is not completely relevant; it is same as in NIT's. Exams are average. Pass percentage is based on relatively good marking.
Other: Events and fest almost end There is no event they celebrate; if they celebrate, then they ask for money from us, even in the course fee. This fee is already included in the fee structure of the course per semester; there is no scholarship available; they do not have their own campus; it will take 2 years to build a new campus. Things that I wish to change are course creativity and campus life.
