Placements: About 75% of the students get placed. The highest package is 28 LPA. About 75 offers are made. The lowest package is 10 LPA. The median is 9 LPA, and the average is 13 LPA. Top recruiters include MPL, Amazon, Qualcomm, Deloitte, TCS, HCL, Infosys, and Tata.
Infrastructure: Facilities are good, but the permanent campus is still under construction. Hostels are really good, with proper furniture and Wi-Fi. Labs and the library are well-equipped. Mess food is good here. Medical facilities are available. Sports like volleyball, cricket, table tennis, badminton, football, and others are offered.
Faculty: Teachers are really good and helpful, and all hold Ph.D. degrees. The courses offered here are good and relevant, which helps a lot in becoming industry-ready. Semester exams are of moderate difficulty. Exams take place twice each semester. The passing mark for each subject is 35.

Explore the IIIT RANCHI life.
Placements: We are the batch of 2023. Currently, there are 270 seats in the college for any particular year. 150 seats are for CSE and 120 for ECE. Around 90-95% of students were placed in the previous year. The highest package was 83 LPA and the lowest was 10 LPA. The average package was 16.83 LPA. Amazon has recruited 13 people on campus with the package of 45 LPA.
Infrastructure: Currently, the academic base of the college has shifted to the BSNL campus since we don't have a permanent campus as of now. Flats are being converted to hostel rooms. 2-3 bhk flats are being allocated to students. Each flat contains 6-8 students. The flat is fully equipped with high-speed internet of Jio fibre Wi-Fi. Mess food quality is good.
Faculty: Faculty members are very well qualified and one of the best in the country. Faculty members are very helpful towards the students. They have given full freedom to the students to ask doubts even after the classes. They help the students even if the topic is not included in the syllabus.

Review of Indian Institute of Information Technology.
Placements: The placements are the only good thing in the college. Companies recruit a good number of students every year. The average package is around 15 LPA, which is pretty good for a college without a permanent campus. The placements have high scope of improving after getting a permanent campus.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is subpar. Due to the lack of a permanent campus, there is shifting of campuses from the first year to the second year. The majority of students in IIIT Ranchi are given accommodation in temporary housing complexes. The construction of the permanent campus is going steadily and will be completed in the coming 3 to 4 years.
Faculty: The standard of faculty in engineering colleges varies greatly. There is no comparison of the faculty of IITs to IIITs. Few faculty are good, but the majority of students prefer YouTube and books to study rather than from teachers. The exams are good; they are moderate rather than too easy or difficult.
Other: The courses offered in IIIT Ranchi make us industry-ready. The course is also greatly oriented to crack GATE. The syllabus is also not too broad. I wish the course contains group activities in every subject which would make studying fun.

Overall, you can take admission in this college, if you want a better future.
Placements: Placement is overall very good. Around 95% of students are placed every year. The average package is around 12 LPA. Many startups and top tech companies used to visit our college. Our faculty used to help in placement scenarios. Many students got packages with over 50 LPAs.
Infrastructure: This is the demerit of our college because we don't have any permanent campus. But our college provides very good accommodations. We used to visit a society. The academic building is very well structured. The food is very nice here. The overall atmosphere is so pleasant.
Faculty: The courses are very well-structured. Every faculty member used to set very tough papers to check the knowledge of students. But they do very easy checking all together. So there is a problem with a low GPA. But you have to be attentive in class.

Is IIIT Ranchi worth it?
Placements: Hello, in CSE the placement percentage in 2023 was 90.16%, and for ECE, it was 86.96%, and overall 88.87%. The highest package till now is 83 LPA in Atlassian, and after that, many packages of 45+ LPA. The lowest package till now, which I remember, is around 7, and the average is 16.7 LPA. Top recruitment companies are Goldman Sachs, Nvidia, Infosys, Jio, Tata, Byju's, Commvault, Deloitte, and many more. Internships are mandatory, and everyone somehow gets it.
Infrastructure: The campus is running in the BSNL telecom office, and the hostel is located in the National Games Housing Complex Ranchi, providing an amazingly good environment. In the hostel, we have Wi-Fi, 2 BHK or 3BHK flats with tables and chairs in which a single room is occupied by two students. Bathrooms have geysers, and cleaning services are also available for hostel rooms and washrooms. For a flat, there is one common washroom and one room attached to another washroom. The mess food is pretty good, and mostly it does not feel like hostel food. It's very good actually; you can have your meal according to your wish, but some items are reserved with one serving only, like Gulab Jamuns and another sweet. Medical facilities are also available on the first floor of the buildings. There is a sports club, and inter IIIT games also happen, but some restrictions are there due to the temporary campus. Our permanent campus will be functioning soon, but it takes some time.
Faculty: Teachers are really helpful; if you have any type of doubts, they will be there to guide you, and they are actually highly qualified, with some teachers being amazingly good. Teachers generally teach on the board, but if required, they will use projectors for demonstration. The course curriculum is obviously relevant according to the present scenario in the corporate world. Semester exams are tough for those who think that it can be done in one night before; otherwise, it's not that tough if you study regularly or just be with the pace. There will be two exams, one called mid-semester and end semester. Finally, mid-semester will be evaluating 30 marks, and end semester continuing 50 marks, with 20 marks for internals. For internals, teachers can take surprise tests, attendance, and viva.
Other: I chose this course because I wanted to be a Data Scientist, and it has that specialization course in AI. The best thing about the course is that it is new and has good career opportunities. There are various fests and clubs for dance, singing, art, poetry, and many more. Talking about connectivity, it is less than 7 km from Ranchi Junction.
