IIM Ahmedabad Course Admissions 2027: Cutoff, Selection Criteria, Fees, Eligibility, Selection Criteria

Candidates seeking admisison to MBA (or PGP) are not required to have any work experience. However, if there are students with part-time experience, its experience, understanding and knowledge can only help them crack the interview round. For MBA-PGPX, it is compulsory for students to have at least four years of full-time work experience, any part-time experience beyond this duration won't be a concern. IIM Ahmedabad mainly considers CAT scores for the flagship PGP/ MBA programme. However, the institute also accepts other exams depending on the programme and category. These include GMAT/ GRE/ GMAT, etc.

To be eligible for IIM Ahmedabad MBA admissions, a candidate needs to pass a bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification from a UGC-recognised university after at least 12 years of school education with a minimum of 50% aggregate or equivalent CGPA (45% in case of SC/ ST/ PwD candidates). Candidates, appearing for the final year of their bachelor's degree with final year results awaiting, can also apply. However, such candidates, if selected, will be granted provisional admission, only if a candidate submits a pre-final certificate signed by competent authorities of the previous institute/ university, the latest by June 30 of the year of admission.

Candidates must pass bachelor's degree from a recognised university with at least 50% aggregate (45% aggregate for SC, ST and PwD) to apply for MBA programme at IIM Ahmedabad.

Aspirants need to complete a bachelor's degree/ CA/ CS/ ICWA/ CMA or equivalent in any discipline with a minimum of 50% aggregate to apply for Blended PGP programme at IIM Ahmedabad. Aspirants must have a minimum of three-year full-time work experience after graduation to apply.

IIM Ahmedabad reserves seats as per the Government of India norms. The institute reserves maximum (27%) seats for OBC-NCL category students. 15% and 7.5% seats are reserved for SC and ST aspirants, respectively. 5% seats are reserved for PwD and 10% for EWS category candidates.

The application fees for admission via CAT/ GMAT/ GRE scores is INR 2,000 for BPGP-BA & AI at IIM Ahmedabad. The registration fees for IIMA Admission Test for BPGP-BA & AI courses is INR 5,000. Aspirants can pay the application fees via any of the online payment modes.
