Yes, it is mandatory for the candidates to meet the sectional and overall CAT cutoff to be eligible for the Writing Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI) rounds for admission to IIM Indore. IIM Indore provides Need-Based Financial Assistance (NBFA) to PGP/ IPM students with annual family income below INR 9 LPA, are eligible to apply for financial aid. The objective of the Need-Based Financial Assistance (NBFA) at IIM Indore is to ensure that no participant is deprived of education at the institute for financial reasons. The NBFA Committee undertakes a two-step process for deciding the number of awardees and quantum of aid. The scholarship is awarded to the students selected for pursuing courses at graduate/postgraduate in identified institutions in professional fields such as Management, Medicine, Engineering, Information Technology, Law, and Training etc. In the first stage, the candidate's financial needs will be assessed by evaluating the application submitted by them. In the second stage, based on the first stage assessment, some of the participants are called for personal interaction with the NBFA Committee. Eligible applicants who wish to apply for the IIM Indore NBFA may apply in the prescribed form as available in PGP/ IPM Office.

CAT lays a lot of emphasis on analytical skills so the questions are asked mostly from those topics which require deep learning and practice. The three sections of CAT question paper are designed in such a way that candidates have to use their ability of minute observation and fast calculation. The difficulty level of CAT questions is usually moderate to high. Only a few questions are easy and quick to solve. To crack the CAT exam, one needs to pay attention to the abovementioned topics.

For admission to IIM Indore for the flagship MBA (or PGP) course, the result of CAT 2023 can be expected by the last week of December 2023 (If the CAT conducting body follows the trend as in 2022). However, if the trend is not followed, the same will most probably be out by the first week of January 2024.
