The difficulty level of IPMAT depends on how much preaparation a candidate has done. Candidate's IPMAT preparation strategy should be systematic and cover complete IPMAT syllabus. IPMAT is a national-level entrance exam which is conducted by the prestigious IIM Indore for admission to the five-year IPM course offered IIM Indore, IIM Ranchi, etc. Candidates planning to appear for IPMAT must know that good IPMAT preparation can help them go a long way. No, IIM Ranchi does not provide direct admissions to any of the IIM Ranchi courses. The institute has a predefined admission process that all candidates need to follow.
- The first stage includes meeting the eligibility criteria. Candidates can check eligibility for all courses here. After matching the eligibility criteria, the candidate has to appear for the respective entrance examination.
Note: Admission to Executive MBA is done through Personal Interview only. The candidates are not required to appear for any entrance exam.
- The candidates who are able to meet the cut-off are then communicated for the second round which is a PI (Personal Interview) round.
- The final stage includes admission offers for IIM Ranchi, based on a Consolidated Merit List (CML), which is generally prepared based on entrance exam scores, personal interview scores, and academic profile.
The total tuition fee at IIM Ranchi for IPM is INR 15.48 Lacs divided equally in 9 installments. In addition to tuition fee, students also have to make following one time payments:

IPMAT application process 2025 started on February 14, 2025. The registration window will be open for approximately a month. The last date to apply for IIM Indore IPM was March 27, 2025. IPMAT 2025 was conducted on May 12, 2025. The complete schedule of IPMAT exam was announced online and is also available on the official website of IIM Indore.
The application schedule for IIFT and IIM Amritsar will be announced on their official websites. The IPMAT application process begins with the IPMAT registration and application fee payment. Candidates need to submit their IPMAT application form before the deadline. Candidates will have to choose the their preferred institutes as well as test centres while filling the IPMAT application form. No, the candidates do not have to pay any fee for CAT form correction. The facility is provided to candidates free of cost. However, if they have made an error in a field that will not be available for editing during form correction, then they will have to fill a fresh form before the submission deadline and pay the CAT application fee again. So, candidates must review the CAT application form before submitting to check whether they have filled all the information correctly or not. Once submitted, the form will not be editable but of photo, signature and test city.

The interview process of IIM Ranchi is held under CAP (common admission process). Candidates who qualify for CAT are further invited to the personal interview round.
