IIMC Entrance Exam 2025 Application Form: Candidates seeking admission at IIMC were given a window to fill out the CUET PG online form between January 02 and February 08, 2025. The application form was released on the official website of NTA (National Testing Agency). The application correction window was open from February 10 to 12, 2025. Tests for all IIMC PG Diploma programs were done through CUET PG, except for PGD Journalism in regional languages (Hindi, Urdu, Malayalam, Marathi, and Odia). 
The CUET PG Mass Communication & Journalism exam was administered on March 29, 2025 (in second shift).

How to fill IIMC Entrance Exam Application Form 2025

To fill out the IIMC entrance exam application form, aspirants have to visit the NTA website and click on the application link provided above on this page. Thereafter, candidates will have to click on the 'New Registration' link. On clicking the link, the form window will open on the screen. Now, candidates can start filling out the online application form.

Details that candidates need to fill in the IIMC application form are as follows:

  • Course details: Candidates need to select the name of the postgraduate diploma course for which they want to apply.
  • Applicant details: This section requires candidates to fill in details such as their name, date of birth, gender, nationality (Indian/ NRI), category (General/ SC/ ST/ OBC), mailing address, mobile number, and email ID
  • Family details: Here, candidates need to enter details such as their parent’s name, profession, and annual income.
  • Education details: It includes mentioning educational details of the school and college that they studied in. These fields of the application form will include the name of the university/ board, passing year, percentage scored, name of college/ school, and division/ grade
  • Choice of IIMC exam centre: Candidates must select three cities of their choice while filling Online Application Form for IIMC Admissions 2025.
  • Signature: Candidates need to upload a scanned copy of their signature. File size and type should be 10-20 KB and jpeg/jpg, respectively
  • Photograph: Candidates need to upload a scanned copy of their photograph. File size and type of photograph should be 10-20KB and jpeg/jpg, respectively

Note: The Applicant is required to fill only one form, indicating all his/ her course choices, making combined/ cumulative payment of the application fee.

Once all details are duly filled, candidates can submit their application forms by clicking on the Submit button. On successful submission of the application forms, a Unique Registration Number (URN) will be generated that candidates can use to log in to their registered accounts.

Q:   What is the selection criteria for the IIMC entrance exam?

The Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) selection criteria includes shortlisting of candidates on the basis of scores obtained in the Common University Entrance Test Post Graduate exam for PG Diploma courses in Journalism. For the language journalism courses, thee is a written exam conducted by IIMC. The list of selected candidates for each course is released after the exam is over and candidates will be then called for counselling and document verification process. Candidates should go through the selection process mentioned in the prospectus of Indian Institute of Mass Communication for their respective course.

Q:   Will the IIMC entrance exam application fee be refunded if I do not appear for exam?
A: 

In case of failed transaction only, the application fee will be refunded. Once the fee is paid successfully, no refund will be granted. Hence, the candidate should go through all the details regarding eligibility criteria, application form etc. before applying for a course.

Q:   What is exam pattern for IIMC Entrance Exam?
A: 

For the candidates appearing for CUET PG, the exam pattern is such that the number of questions will be 100 and they will be divided into two parts: Part A: Consisting of Language Comprehension/Verbal Ability, General Awareness, Mathematical/Quantitative Ability and Analytical Skills comprising of 25 MCQs and Part B: Domain Knowledge comprising of 75 MCQs. For those appearing for Regional Language PG Diploma Journalism courses, the question paper will be descriptive and objective in nature. There will be Long, Short and Multiple-Choice question (MCQ) type questions.

Q:   What is the application fee for IIMC Entrance Exam?
A: 

The candidates have to pay the requisite examination fee. Application Fee (for up to three Test papers) for General candidates is INR 1000, for OBC-NCL/GenEWS is INR 800, for SC/ST/Third Gender is INR 750 and PwBD is INR 700. The fee can be submitted only online through Net Banking, Credit Card, Debit Card, UPI Services. Processing charges and GST as applicable are chargeable to the candidate (in addition to the examination fee) by the concerned Bank/Payment Gateway Integrator. 

Q:   What if I lose my IIMC entrance exam admit card?
A: 

If candidates lose the admit card of the Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) entrance exam they can download it again from the official website 1-2 days before the exam. However, it is advised to them to save the PDF of the admit card save in laptop or cloud drive so that they can retrieve it whenever they lose the printed admit card.

How to fill the IIMC Entrance Exam Application Form for Courses in Regional Languages 2025

Candidates willing to pursue PG Diploma courses in Odia, Marathi, Malayalam, and Urdu journalism can fill out the application form offline. The form is released on the official website of IIMC - https://iimc.admissions.nic.in/. Candidates are requested to follow the steps mentioned below:

Step 1: Candidates will have to download the application form and fill the form in his/ her handwriting.

Step 2: Candidate may submit his/ her application form for either Odia, Marathi, Malayalam OR Urdu Journalism i.e. only for one course/ language.

Step 3: The students have to pay the entrance examination fee either online (UPI, BHIM app, NEFT, RTGS) or via bank transfer, etc. The Bank details of IIMC are as under:
