Mostly non-core though, even an IIT does not get core placements, unless students work hard.

Review of IIT Bhubaneswar - Indian Institute of Technology.
Placements: It's pretty impressive that about 80% of students from our course land jobs. Seriously, the top salary package is a whopping 64 LPA, while the average sits around 17 LPA. We've got big names like Google, Microsoft, and Amazon. Now, when it comes to internships, it is higher than job placements. In fact, only about 100 students across the entire campus manage to snag internships each year. If you're looking at roles, we see quite a few opportunities in areas like power systems, electronic engineering, and control systems.
Infrastructure: The college has pretty solid infrastructure and decent amenities. You know, the on-campus housing is actually quite comfy and well-managed. A lot of students choose to live there. As for the food service, it's okay. It meets the basic standards, nothing fancy.
Faculty: Honestly, teachers are fantastic. Every single member really knows their stuff when it comes to their field. They are super accessible and are always ready to lend a hand to students. The way they teach works well, giving students a solid grasp of the material. The curriculum is modern, and the test questions strike a nice balance, not too easy, not too hard.

IIT Bhubaneswar college review.
Placements: IIT is widely recognised as one of the premier universities in India, and that so many students are flocking to my course. I want to be part of something like that. We have got some big names in the industry showing UPAT on our campus. Google, Amazon, Tesla, and a bunch of other major companies. Its pretty impressive, In just three years, a lot of students have managed to land internships, which is no small feat. Its exciting to see all these opportunities unfolding.
Infrastructure: One standout feature of the university is its modern infrastructure paired with some extra resources. The library has a wide range of books and academic journals. The canteen is spacious and offers lots of dishes and drinks in a friendly atmosphere. Students really appreciate living in the well managed hostel where the food is not just okay but meets basic quality standards.
Faculty: Teachers are approachable, and they break things down step by step, making examples relatable and easy for students to grasp. The exams are manageable, mainly focusing on understanding the concepts. Semester assessments are closely tied to the high school curriculum and are generally pretty simple.

My college life is what I like the most.
Placements: Placement opportunities at IIT Bhubaneswar are getting better day by day. Initially, it was not so good, but now it's developing a lot. Good companies with higher placement opportunities used to come here. Most of the students get placed. The average package is of 60 to 70 LPA. Mostly good for core branch members.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of this college is very amazing. Starting from the main GATE, we move to the admin building, then the auditorium. Then seven different schools for different branches. Three large lecture halls. Then three boys' hostels and three girls' hostels. Playground for all types of sports. Then a space area for extra activities like yoga, gym, and many more. Then the community center and faculty quarters.
Faculty: Semester exams are moderate here. Two times exams are conducted here. Mid seems and end seems. Faculty members teach very well, and yes, attendance is also compulsory here. Assignments, quizzes, and test helps a lot in writing the exams. This also includes practical knowledge, like labs for industrial exposure.

A very good college in its developing phase.
Placements: From Mechanical (My course), 93.7% of students are placed. The highest package is 20.1 LPA, the lowest package is 5.5 LPA, and the average package is 14.77 LPA. The recruiting companies are Tata Steel R&T, Engineers India Limited (EIL), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL), Oil India Limited (OIL), and Jindal Steel & Power.
Infrastructure: The facilities provided are decent, but need improvement, to be honest. In our department, many machines are very old and need to be replaced. Classrooms are well-furnished and comfortable, with whiteboards, blackboards, and projectors. The mess is average, and the canteen provides good food. The sports facilities are decent, but the cricket facilities need to be upgraded.
Faculty: The teachers here are very highly skilled in their respective courses. But there are some faculty members who might not be able to deliver the lectures properly, not because of a lack of knowledge, but because they are only good students and not good teachers. To be honest, I wouldn't say a complete yes or a complete no when it comes to industry-ready curriculum. Some courses are there that are really of no use. Semester exams are hard, but not the Everest to climb. Studying regularly and hard, especially before the exams, will yield good grades. The pass percentage here is 90+.
Other: The world of machines has always fascinated me, and this was the reason that the driving force me to go ahead with this course. The best thing about Mechanical is its direct link with the fascinating realm of machines. I would really like to see in my course is to include a semester, where we would only learn software related to the theoretical courses. Pravaah 2.0 is a new fest that started in 2024-25. The campus has very high aesthetic value, with it being amidst the hills. The campus crowd is decent, connectivity is expensive, scholarships are available, and we have good extracurricular activities.

A good 2nd gen IIT. Recommended to take admission.
Placements: In 2025, 90.07% of students got placed. The highest CTC is 67.6 LPA, and the average CTC is 14.5 LPA. Total number of PPOs is 22. Top recruiters are Google, Zomato, Accenture Japan, Goldman Sachs, Nvidia, and Meesho. In the core sector, PSUs such as BEL, BPCL, HPCL, and EIL are major contributors. The season also has an international core offer from Niterra Japan.
Infrastructure: All classrooms, library, and some labs are fully air-conditioned and equipped with all modern amenities such as Wi-Fi, smart boards, projectors, etc. In every room, there is a single LAN port with which you can use the internet 24X7. All hostels (except the 1st year girls' hostel) have single-occupancy rooms. There are various canteens on the campus, such as Nescafe, Domino's, and some tiffin centers. There is a small hospital for all types of medical emergencies.
Faculty: Most professors are qualified and knowledgeable. The course curriculum is also not that stressful. Semester exams are sometimes tough and sometimes easy. Students also get help for placements from the placement cell. Various reputed companies also provide paid internships to our students.

Absolutely good hostels and teachers.
Placements: Approximately 85% of students are placed. The average package is 12 LPA, the highest package is approximately 48 LPA, and the lowest is 8 LPA. Top companies are Oracle, Amazon, and many more. The percentage of students get internships is like 40% only.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are good as well as the library. There is free Wi-Fi all over the place. The quality of food is not so good but medical facilities are very good, I am really impressed. There is also a place to play every game and a gym.
Faculty: Faculty members are good. The course is also very interesting. The course should be more industry-based. The semester exams are quite moderate to tough. Almost 90% of students pass the exam. Some teachers have very high qualifications but do not have the experience.
