Only those candidates who score the minimum prescribed marks in each subject AND also in aggregate will be included in the JEE Advanced 2025 rank list for admission to the IITs. What are the minimum marks needed to pass JEE Advanced 2025, know here.
Minimum Marks Required in JEE Advanced 2025 for IIT: The conducting IIT will release the minimum JEE Advanced marks candidates need to be eligible for IIT admission with the JEE Advanced 2025 result. Until the JEE Advanced 2025 cutoff marks are released, candidates can check and analyse the cutoff from the previous few years.
The candidates have to pass the minimum marks prescribed by the authorities in each subject of the JEE Advanced exam individually and also in total. The marks obtained by a candidate in Physics in JEE Advanced 2025 will be equal to the marks scored in the Physics part of Paper 1 plus the marks scored in the Physics part of Paper 2. Marks obtained in Chemistry and Mathematics will be calculated in the same way. The total aggregate marks will be the total marks of the candidates in paper 1 and paper 2 together.
In the year 2023, there has been a rise in the cutoff marks and cutoff percentage. In the year 2024, too, the minimum percentage needed to pass JEE Advanced is higher than usual. JEE Advanced cutoff implies the minimum percentage of marks that aspirants need to acquire for inclusion in the JEE Advanced rank list. Only candidates who will score the minimum prescribed marks in each subject and aggregate will be included in the rank list. These marks will determine a candidate’s admission to the premier IITs (Indian Institutes of Technology).
