IIT Indore offers a two-year MSc programme in the full-time mode. The programme is offered under five specialisations through multiple departments. These specialisations are Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Biotechnology and Astronomy. MSc admission at IIT Indore is provided based on the applicant's performance in IIT JAM.

Aspiring students need to fulfil the IIT Indore MSc eligibility criteria. To be eligible for admission, applicants must have completed a relevant Bachelor's degree with a minimum aggregate of 50% or 5.5 CGPA. All about Masters at IIT Indore.

Placements: In M.Sc. Biotechnology, there are very few placements for students. The average is 4-6 LPA, which is very low according to IIT. Approximately 40-50% of students get placed in companies. Most students prefer Ph.D. due to the low amount offered by companies.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure and facilities are all very good. Each classroom and lab is air-conditioned. The hostel facility is very nice. The washrooms and rooms are clean. Campus life is very good. The mess provides good quality food. The sports complex has a badminton court, swimming pool, and gym facilities.

Faculty: The teachers are very approachable. Their teaching style is good. All faculty members have ample knowledge in their field as well as in other fields. Exams are based on the portions taught in class. The exam level is moderate to difficult. There is relatively fair marking for results.

Other: The fest, sports, and other facilities are good. Everything is great except for placements. Practical knowledge is far better here.

Satisfied with the overall quality of the college .

Placements: Less than 40% of students were being placed. The average package was 50,000. PW Coaching Center and many more approached our college for the job of teaching after a Masters. No one got the internship opportunity. The top role, or the only role we were offered, is the teaching role.

Infrastructure: Full marks on infrastructure and facilities with high-class labs and classrooms are there. All the extra facilities provided are up to par. Hostels are clean and the hostel staff is really helpful. We do have good-quality food in canteens and mess. Do get regular mess food checked. .

Faculty: Faculty do not give their best but do make efforts to provide us with a with a good education. We need a better education course system as most of the courses in our subject need a lot of time to be completed so we need to have a lot of time to grab the things. For that, we need a much more organised syllabus.

Campus life is amazing with great facilities.

Placements: Placement is provided at coaching institutes. Coaching institutes like Physics Wallah, Allen, IT, and data science placements are available. You can also clear different exams and get admissions in highly prestigious colleges, for example, BARC and DRDO.

Infrastructure: The college is fully furnished. Clean and beautiful campus with many infrastructures. Hostels are great with single rooms for each student. Labs with well-equipped instruments. Wi-Fi is available everywhere on the campus. Cafes, tea stalls, basic item shops, and fruit and vegetable stalls are on campus.

Faculty: All the teachers are highly qualified. Some students have excellent teachers, while others have average teachers. Exams are done in two phases—midterm and end term—per semester. Exams are of moderate difficulty, and the pass percentage is 98%. The course curriculum is good overall.

Other: Annual fests are great. Every year, celebrities visit the campus for the fest. Scholarships are mailed to the students by the academics.

Our college has excellent infrastructure and facilities with good campus life.

Placements: In M.Sc. physics, almost every student is placed, but mostly in coaching centers. Otherwise, there are not a lot of placement options for them. The highest salary package offered is 8 LPA to 10 LPA and the lowest salary package offered is 5 LPA to 6 LPA. Top recruiting companies like Physics Wallah, Allen, etc., visit our campus. Many students get internships at research institutes. The top role offered is a teacher.

Infrastructure: Our college provides excellent facilities and infrastructure. Wi-Fi is available throughout the campus. Labs are well-equipped and classrooms are under CCTV surveillance. Projectors are available in our classrooms. Many books are available in the library. Computers are available for practical purposes. The hostel facilities are good. The quality of food in the mess is average. Medical facilities and sports facilities are available.

Faculty: Teachers are excellent and well-qualified. The course curriculum is good. There can be some modifications with a focus on modern technology and science. Exams are difficult. The pass percentage is 90%.

Other: I chose this course for research because I wanted to do a Ph.D. Although research is good here, it is not as good as at IISER and other research institutes where we could get more exposure. Events, festivals, and the campus crowd are excellent. Everyone enjoys their time in our college.

I think the college is one of the best colleges in Indore city.

Placements: I am a student of M.Sc. in Biotechnology. The percentage of students who get placed in my subject is more than 92%. The package of course ranges from 2-2.5 LPA. 80-85% of students get internships in the college.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good in the college and facilities are the best. All departments are divided. The Wi-Fi facility is good in college. The hostel quality is good. Mess and canteens also provide delicious food. Sports ground is available and it also has a sports coach.

Faculty: Teachers are hard-working, qualified, and well-personality. Semester exams are also held at the end of the month. The pass percentage is 45%. The management of the college also helps us to reach our own goals. The course is helpful to our life. In the future, we will be independent and that feeling is priceless at that time.

Other: I decided to give the NEET exam, so I chose this course. Our college should improve my understanding of my subject in other categories.

Placements: Around 89 students participate in placements in college with a number of 51 companies. Around 21 are the new recruiters, and the number of offered was 101. The highest salary package offered was 16.06 LPA, and the average salary package offered was 6 LPA. Top recruiting sectors are computer science & information technologies. The highest recruiting branch is a computer science & engineering and the highest recruiting profile/function are software developer/software development engineering and graduate engineer trainees. The company that is making the highest offer is in computer science & engineering department.

Infrastructure: The construction is going at a very good pace. All the labs are shifted to the main campus at Simrol. The IIT-Indore Simrol campus is almost ready. All the academic, sports, research & others are shifted to the main campus itself. The hostels are also present on the campus. Only the fourth year and mat be M.Tech students stay outside the campus which are provided by IIT itself in places like Silver Springs, etc. Rooms have a premium 2/3BHK, and Silver Springs is probably one of the best.

Faculty: Faculty members in our college are experienced. They have mastered their field. If you are interested in pure mathematics, come to IIT Indore. The course curriculum is designed for exams like NET and GATE. You can also convert your M.Sc into M.Sc and PhD dual degrees in 3 semesters of M.Sc.

Other: IIT Indore is like a small village, and people are bound together by strong emotional ties unlike those in larger institutes where a crowd of 2000 is just scattered and segregated into a bunch of students. Here we live as a small happy family. There is no distinction between a senior and a junior. Teachers are easily approachable, and everyone is special in his or her way among the batch mates. Being a new IITian it allows you to discover yourself by exposing you to everything new.

Which is better for BDes course, Bits Pilani or IIT Indore?

Both institutions offer the BDes course but with completely different admission processes. IIT Indore accepts admission based on the UCEED entrance exam, while BITS Pilani considers the NID Entrance exam/ BITSAT exam result.
