Overall IIT Indore is the best among all new IITs. You can join this prestigious institute.

Placements: Around 89 students participate in placements in college with a number of 51 companies. Around 21 are the new recruiters, and the number of offered was 101. The highest salary package offered was 16.06 LPA, and the average salary package offered was 6 LPA. Top recruiting sectors are computer science & information technologies. The highest recruiting branch is a computer science & engineering and the highest recruiting profile/function are software developer/software development engineering and graduate engineer trainees. The company that is making the highest offer is in computer science & engineering department.

Infrastructure: The construction is going at a very good pace. All the labs are shifted to the main campus at Simrol. The IIT-Indore Simrol campus is almost ready. All the academic, sports, research & others are shifted to the main campus itself. The hostels are also present on the campus. Only the fourth year and mat be M.Tech students stay outside the campus which are provided by IIT itself in places like Silver Springs, etc. Rooms have a premium 2/3BHK, and Silver Springs is probably one of the best.

Faculty: Faculty members in our college are experienced. They have mastered their field. If you are interested in pure mathematics, come to IIT Indore. The course curriculum is designed for exams like NET and GATE. You can also convert your M.Sc into M.Sc and PhD dual degrees in 3 semesters of M.Sc.

Other: IIT Indore is like a small village, and people are bound together by strong emotional ties unlike those in larger institutes where a crowd of 2000 is just scattered and segregated into a bunch of students. Here we live as a small happy family. There is no distinction between a senior and a junior. Teachers are easily approachable, and everyone is special in his or her way among the batch mates. Being a new IITian it allows you to discover yourself by exposing you to everything new.

The college has a good infrastructure with helpful faculty. Food and placements are also average.

Placements: Almost 10% of the students got placed. The package offered is 6 LPA. The top recruited company was Data Foundry. The top role offered as a data analyst. Out of 9 students, only 1 student got placed. Not many students got an internship in this course. No company offered an internship.

Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is good and new. There is also a good department, and there is average food in a mess. There are good sports facilities, and the college is building new gyms for students. The central library is also under construction. There are good and helpful doctors in the college.

Faculty: Teachers are good and knowledgeable, but some are not that good. Based on statistics, students can try in the industry, but there are very few opportunities for this course. Students can prepare themselves and attend B.Tech placements which might be helpful.

Other: I chose this course because I love maths and want to proceed further on this subject. The course is good, but the syllabus is inadequate. It doesn't take care of placements at all. Mathematics students should also be taught programming languages properly. Should make the curriculum take care of every aspect. Every student does not choose a PhD so they should reach accordingly. There is one fest that happens every year called Fluxus. Campus crowd is good, and there are more students in the B.Tech anyway. Connectivity is local buses only which might not be that safe in the night. The college provides a scholarship called MCM.
