No, IIT Jammu admit candidates to its BTech programmes based on JEE Main qualification followed by JEE Advanced scores only. There is no other accepted entrance exam and provision for admission. Candidates shortlisted on the basis of exam scores have to take part in JoSAA counselling for seat allotment. The seats are allotted in accordance with the released cutoff and the applicants preferred college and course.
Yes, IIT Jammu follows the IIT Delhi course curriculum for now. The institute may develop its own curriculum over the years. In the first year of the BTech course, students have to study common topics related to the field of Science/Engineering. From the second year of the course, the subjects are more related to the chosen course specialisation. This information is taken from the India Science, Technology and Innovation portal official website.
For admission in a BTech course of IIT Jammu, the candidates have to pass the JEE Advanced examination conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Candidates have to appear for JEE Main and those who pass this have to take the JEE Advanced. The seat allotment procedure is further carried out through JoSAA counselling. The seats are allotted as per the rank secured in the entrance examination. Moreover, it is advisable that the aspirants check out the eligibility requirements before applying.
