IIT Jammu BTech Highlights 2026
IIT Jammu BTech course is a full-time UG level engineering course that is available in only full-time mode. To get admission, students must fulfil the eligibility and selection requirement. Check below IIT Jammu BTech highlights:
Eligibility: To be eligible for BTech, students must clear Class 12 board exams with a minimum aggregate of 75% from a recognised board with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects (65% aggregate for SC/ ST) are eligible to apply for BTech.
Entrance Exam: Candidates are selected for IIT Jammu BTech admission is based on the JEE Advanced through the JoSAA counseling which is conducted after the JEE Mains. Candidates must be over 17 or higher age to appear for the JEE Mains entrance exam.

IIT Jammu BTech Fee Refund Policy
For BTech admissions at IIT Jammu, fee refunds for seat withdrawal before registration are governed by JoSAA rules. Check below fee refund criteria for IIT Jammu flagship course, BTech:
- If a candidate is allocated a seat by JoSAA but does not join the Programme/Institute, no refund will be issued.
- If the candidate joins the programme after paying the remaining fee and leaves the Institute on or before the date of registration, and applies for a refund, the whole amount of fees deposited by the candidate at the Institute will be refunded (other than JoSAA seat acceptance fee) after deducting INR 10,000 as processing charges.
- As Institute receives the final list of students from JoSAA, who have secured admission, after the last round of admission, no refund of fee shall be allowed in case of withdrawal and only the security amount will be refunded.
