To be eligible to apply for MBA admission at IIT Jodhpur, candidates must pass Class 12 and graduation in the respective subjects. Candidates who secured minimum 60% aggregate or 6.00 CGPA in their graduation are eligible to apply for MBA. However, there is a five percent relaxation is given to SC/ST/PwD candidates.  Candidates with a BE, BTech, BS, or BDes degree and a GATE or GPAT qualification are eligible for financial aid worth INR 12,400 per month. Even if they do not pass the GATE exam, IIT BTech graduates with a CGPA of 8 or higher are eligible for assistantships. Sponsored category students cannot get an IITJ assistantship, nevertheless. IIT Jodhpur is located on the outskirts of Jodhpur city, in its sprawling 852 acres campus. Most of the Faculty Members, Officers, and Students reside on campus, while some Faculty and Staff Members opt to stay in the city in private accommodation. Students enrolled in the MSc programmes are not provided with any assistantship or scholarship from within the Institute. But, candidates enrolled in the MSc programmes can pursue external funding agencies providing assistantships or scholarships. Some of the scholarships for which candidates can apply are INSPIRE scholarship and Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana. These scholarships are offered by the government.

To get admission in IIT Jodhpur students have to check the eligibility first. Eligible students can then apply online. The institute accepts students on an entrance basis primarily. Candidates seeking admission to an MSc course must ensure that they meet the eligibility requirements. Admission to the PG course is through IIT JAM. Based on cutoff marks, candidates are required to appear for CCMN counselling procedure for seat allotment. Aspirants can fill out the application by visiting the JAM website.

 Admission to the course is entrance-based. Aspirants are required to take JEE Main and JEE Advanced. The selected students based on merit in JEE Advanced further have to participate in JoSAA rounds of counselling. The seat allotment process is then carried out as per performance in counselling and other selection rounds.
