Established in 2015, IIT Palakkad is one of the third generation IITs in India. IIT Palakkad is currently being mentored by IIT Madras. Yes, IIT Palakkad offers a two-year MTech programme in six specialisations. These specialisations are Geotechnical Engineering and Manufacturing, Materials Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Manufacturing and Materials Engineering, Computing and Mathematics, Data Science, Power Electronics and Power Systems and System-on-Chip Design. To be eligible for the MTech programme at IIT Palakkad candidates need graduation with 60%. The selection of the candidates who are eligible for the MTech programme happens through GATE and COAP Counselling.
Opening and Closing rank depends on the category and quota of candidates. For general category under All India, opening rank was 4531 and closing rank was 5162.
