IIT Patna- Emerging gem in Science.

Placements: There is 100% placement in the 2025 passout batch of M.Sc. The highest package is 9 LPA and the lowest is 6.5 LPA. Narayana Group, Infinity Learn, Physics Wallah, and Akash Group are recruiting companies. Not everyone is interested in an internship, and those interested got the internship, in JNCASR, IIT Gandhinagar, etc.

Infrastructure: Air-conditioned classrooms with installed projectors and Wi-Fi, well-equipped labs with chemical, IR, NMR, XRD, Rotavapour machines. The newly built grand Library is there with 24-hour open. Double occupancy rooms, room size is small for two people, the mess food is of good quality, free medical consultation and medicine are available in the campus health centre, well-equipped gymkhana is available. For sports, there are basketball, badminton, volleyball, tennis, cricket, football, and hockey courts.

Faculty: Faculty in JEE and NEET coaching is good. All faculty members are very reputable in their field. They teach with dedication. The Curriculum is up to date and will help you find some jobs and clear exams like CSIR NET and GATE. It is difficult to pass exams and you have to be focused throughout the semester. Almost 90% of students manage to pass.

Other: M.Sc. Chemistry is dynamic, you have immense possibilities after that, like job, government job, Ph.D., etc. Maybe some courses in a semester can be replaced with more industrially important courses. Popular events are Anweesha, Infinito, Celesta, and Nebulla. Merit cum means scholarship is available.
