IIM Mumbai MBA admissions process starts with the release of the application form on the official website. The application window for MBA admission 2025 will be opened soon. However, the CAT exam 2024 will be conducted on 24 November 2024. Currently, the last date of application has not been released. Students are requested to visit the official website for the most the latest and upcoming admission schedule.
IIM Admission Criteria and Selection Process 2023 - The first step towards getting into the IIMs is taking the CAT exam. The next steps are Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Intervew (PI). The WAT and PI are the main selection criteria of IIM MBA admission. They are conducted after the CAT result announcement. Candidates who meet the CAT cut off, are shortlisted for WAT and PI. Final selection for IIM admission is based on candidate's overall profile - CAT score, academic score, work experience, category and WAT and PI score.
The eligibility for IIMs is the same as the CAT eligibility requirements. However, here are a few added points to be kept in mind.
- The minimum requirement is a graduate degree with 50% for general, EWS, and NC-OBC categories or 45% for SC, ST, and PwD categories.
- Candidates in their final year of graduation are also eligible
- Candidates must meet the minimum cutoffs to participate in the WAT/PI rounds and expect interview calls.
In order to apply for PGPEX-VLFM courses at IIM Mumbai candidates need to follow the below-mentioned steps:
1: Download the application form. The form is elaborate and expects students to fill in detailed responses.
2: The application portal will be working around the admission time. However, the institute also accepts the filled form emailed and speed posted as part of the student’s application packet.
3: Ensure attaching the relevant DD and the self-attested certificates.
4: There is a separate form for a Letter of Reference (LOR). Candidates can share the link for LOR with their download and share the soft copy of LOR. The filled-in LOR needs to be sent independently and should be received by the VLFM office by the due date.

NITIE now known as IIM Mumbai admission 2024 is based on CAT 2023 scores. Candidates aspiring for IIM Mumbai MBA must check the results at the official website of IIMCAT. Candidates, who appeared for CAT 2023 can check the result and download the scorecard by using their CAT login IDs and password. To check the CAT 2023 result, candidates need to follow the below-mentioned steps:
Step 1: Visit the official website of CAT 2023 at iimcat.ac.in.
Step 2: Click on the login button mentioned under the 'CAT 2023 scorecard download'.
Step 3: Enter CAT 2023 ID and password and press 'Enter'.

IIM Mumbai cutoff is based on CAT 2023 scores followed by the Group Discussion and Personal Interview process. IIM Mumbai formerly known as NITIE offers Post Graduate Diploma in Management course specialisation, including Industrial Management, Industrial Engineering and Sustainability Management.
IIM Mumbai in collaboration with IIT Delhi, also provides Post Graduate Diploma to executives currently working in the Industry through the Visionary Leaders for Manufacturing Programme (PGPEx-VLFM). Stay in hostels is not mandatory in IIM Mumbai. It's depends on you if you don't want to take hostel, then you can live outside but I think in IIM Mumbai, for some courses like PGDIE, PGDIM hostels are compulsory. In other cases students may or may not opt for hostel. You also check the other detail
