For the PG Diploma courses, CUET-PG is accepted. However, the institute may admit students through its own entrance test. The syllabus of the entrance exam for Journalism courses (Hindi, English and Urdu) comprises questions from General Awareness, Aptitude and Mental Makeup, Language Capability, Analytical and Comprehension Skills, Ethics & Values, and Sensitivity to social issues.

IIMC Delhi PG Diploma in Advertising and Public Relations course include theory and practical examinations. The weightage differs for both type of examinations. Moreover, there are 10 subjects incuded in the course curriculum as mentioned below:

Candidates who are graduates in any discipline from recognised universities are eligible for PG Diploma courses by IIMC Delhi. The aspirants who have appeared/ are appearing for the final year/semester examination of UG degree course are also eligible to apply. However, the admission of such students is subject to their producing at least a Provisional mark sheet/ Certificate in original from their college/university by Sep 30 of the admission year. The deadline is extendable in genuine cases after ascertaining the reasons. Furthermore, the maximum age acceptable is 25 years as of Aug 1 (30 years for SC/ ST/ PWD category candidates).
Admission to IIMC Delhi PG Diploma and MA courses is now through CUET-PG conducted by NTA. Hence, students need to prepare as per the syllabus of this national-level examination. The question paper consists of 100 questions and the question paper is divided into two parts. The total tuition fee is almost the same at both the institutes. The total tuition fee for the PG Diploma at IIMC Delhi ranges is between INR 47,000 and INR 2 lakh. At IIMC Jammu it ranges from INR 87,000 to INR 2 lakh. The mentioned fee is as per the official website and is still subject to change.

IIMC Delhi cutoff list is prepared as per the applicant's scores in CUET-PG. In 2024, the last round closing rank (General All-India) was most competitive for the PG Diploma in Advertising and Public Relations. The closing rank for this specialisation was 105. It was more competitive in comparison to the 2023 closing rank of 232. Students who meet the cutoff can participate in counselling and are allotted seats by the authority.

IIMC Delhi accept applications in online and offline mode. Students should applying for more than one course are not required to fill the form again. For the CUET PG exam, students should apply through NTA CUET website. Students who meet the cutoff marks can apply at IIMC. The process to be followed
