The 6th placement season for IIT Bhilai has started. So far over 500 offers have been received by the student till the 5th placement. Top recruiters taking part in 2025 placements include Google, Amazon, Intuit, Sprinklr, Commvault, Paytm, Dunzo, Atonarp, AirAsia Technology Centre, L&T and many more. The averge and the median package recorded during IIT Bhilai placements was INR 12.51 LPA and INR 11 LPA, respectively.

IIT Bhilai Placement Overview 2025

The IIT Bhilai placement drive for the 2024-25 season started last september. As per the official placement report 2024-25 , more than 500 offers have been recorded. The detailed placement report for 2025 however is yet to be updated.

Earlier, the overall highest package offered during the IIT Bhilai placements 2024 stood at INR 48.92 LPA. The overall average package offered stood at INR 12.51 LPA. In total 105 students got placed out of the total 150 registered students. The overall placement rate recorded during 2024 season was 70%. Further, the season saw 115 offers being made by 109 participating companies. Additionally, a 100% placement record was observed in the MTech CSE and DSAI branch at IIT Bhilai during 2024. Top companies that took part in the IIT Bhilai placement drive consist of- Mahindra, Tata consultancy services, Fiitjee, HCLTECH, Accenture, Deloitte, Infosys, etc. More than 80 summer internship offers were received by the students from leading companies.

IIT Bhilai placement drive starts in the month of September every year. The final reports for 2025 are not released.

According to the IIT Bhilai placement report 2024, overall highest package offered was INR 48.92 LPA.The averge and median package recorded during IIT Bhilai placements was INR 12.51 LPA and 11 LPA. The season had 115 placement offers and 105 students got placements. The overall placement rate registered was 70%. 109 recruiters visited the campus for placements. IIT Bhilai offers a serene and modern environment that blends innovation with tranquillity.

Placements: They are nice. Students are working calmly and have easily got nice placements, which is not easy in general. The highest package for last year was 49 LPA. Many good companies come here for placements. Students of CSE are on top of that; also, students involved in different clubs and societies have a good probability of getting selected.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is very, very nice. It fails many such colleges and gets its position at the very top. It is a completely new campus. It is being built and is very much incomplete, but it is quite nice. It feels like a five-star hotel with very creative and amazing infrastructure. I can enjoy it very much.

Faculty: All the faculty who taught me were very good, and especially some of them in my second semester left a great impact on me. Faculty members are very supportive and helpful. They clear each and every doubt of students, and they are also well-behaved. So academics are overall very good.

Other: Many opportunities, like everything. The fest and cultural events are very pleasing, feel like a nice festival at home.

Overall, the college is good but not outstanding.

Placements: Placements are going on till now. But I can definitely say that for this year, placements are good as compared to the previous year. The placement percentage and packages are increasing year on year. Good companies like Google, Accenture, etc., visit our college for placements.

Infrastructure: Hostels are very good with air-conditioning (AC) in each room since the college is not too old. Bathrooms have hot, cold, and normal water. Very hygienic and clean hostels are provided. Mess food is also good most of the time. Sometimes we may not like the food, but most of the time the food is good. Wi-Fi is also provided everywhere, 24 hours a day.

Faculty: Most of the teachers are very helpful and friendly, except for a few. They are strict, but will help us. Semester exams are neither very tough nor very easy. We can pass the semester exams easily, but to get a good CGPA, we have to study a little bit, not too much. The course curriculum is relevant.

The college has good infrastructure and an environment. Placements are average.

Placements: Overall, the placement percentage for B.Tech is around 75 percent. The average package offered for B.Tech is 15 LPA, and the highest package offered for the 2025-26 batch is 60 LPA. For the M.Tech course, placements are not good. 80 percent of service-based companies come for placements. Top recruiting companies for our course are Google, Nvidia, Intel, TCS, Infosys, etc.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is very good. Labs are good, but need to increase the lab size. Classrooms and libraries are also good. The hostel room has AC, but the room size is small. Sports facilities are still in the developing phase. Being a third-generation IIT, its infrastructure and college environment are very good.

Faculty: Faculty members and course curriculum are mostly satisfactory except for some professors and some courses, such as Chemistry and Biology in the first year. Exams are not difficult. We can easily pass by studying one week before exams in the first year. There is no attendance criterion.

The most aesthetic IIT. Campus feels different.

Placements: Placements are decent. The highest package was around 68 LPA, no idea about the lowest, but I guess it was 10. Many companies come, including Google, Nvidia, Accenture, HCL, FNZ, Myntra, Piepay, and others. Internship opportunities are good; many students get internships from the 2nd year onwards.

Infrastructure: The college has an aesthetic campus, fully air-conditioned hostels. However, Wi-Fi in the freshers' hostel is not so great. Restrooms feel sleek and modern. Mess food is okayish (better than many colleges). Clubs are active, and they have functioning equipment which can be accessed by club members.

Faculty: Traditional IIT curriculum but the faculty members are highly qualified, with most of them having work experience abroad. Teaching quality depends on professor to professor. Some are enthusiastic to teach, some are strict, and others are normal, just teach and leave.

Other: I chose this as I was branch-oriented after my JEE Advanced exam. I was getting my preferred branches in third-gen IITs, so I chose IIT Bhilai ECE.

It has very good infrastructure and facilities.

Placements: Around 70-80% of students got placed in our course. There are some challenges to getting a job in our course, as an M.Sc. is not a vocational course. The highest package offered in our course is 12 LPA. The average package ranges from 6-7 LPA. 50% of students got internships.

Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure available for our course are extremely good. It has unlimited internet access, a well-furnished library, spacious classrooms, etc. It also has well-equipped and high-tech laboratories. The hostel quality is good. Medical facilities are available. Multiple sports complexes are present here.

Faculty: Well-trained and well-experienced teaching staff members are present here. Their teaching quality is also very good. The course curriculum is relevant. Students become industry-ready as the course curriculum is designed by industry experts. Semester examinations are moderate. Around 90% of students pass exams.

Placements: Amazon, Microsoft, and many more companies offer jobs to IIT Delhi students. For M.Sc. Chemistry, Alien offered jobs to 15 students with a good stipend. We can do projects under well-qualified professors, which enhances your capabilities to do something better. Our college is one of the top colleges in India in terms of placements. Eligibility for campus placements depends on the course you enrolled in. The highest packages are in crores sometimes, and the average is about 10–12 LPA. Depending on the number of companies visiting, it decides the number of students getting placed.

Infrastructure: In this course, we study higher Chemistry and its applications in the fields of industries, research, material synthesis, medical sciences, etc. Every aspect of this course should not be linked to the grades. Course load is more in the first year. Hostel rooms are very neat and clean. Each student has a separate room. There are 6 rooms in a unit. Each unit has a common drawing room and a kitchen. There is a mini refrigerator in the kitchen of each unit. There is a common balcony in each unit. Every unit has 4 bathrooms.

Faculty: Faculty members are good and have many years of experience. The professors have graduated from very prestigious colleges. They are highly respected in the industry and have many contacts. Most of them here have advanced degrees in their respective departments. They have a lot of knowledge and teach well. Well, you come to an IIT to be a know-it-all. So, it is about how much time and effort you can put in to improve and expand your skill set. Most of the students here hang out in labs where they enjoy working and learning.
