IIT BHU provides merit-cum-means scholarships to 25 percent of undergraduate students. Apart from this, the institute also offers a list of international scholarships, including Rhodes Scholarships 2019, University of Oxford, USIEF Fellowships for Indian Citizens: 2019-2020, Japanese Government [MEXT] Scholarship Program 2019 for Research Students along with many more. All the students (non-sponsored) admitted to MTech and MPharm programmes are provided financial assistance equivalent to the junior research fellowships. All eligible students admitted to PhD programmes also received scholarships from the institute.

Yes, IIT BHU offers Merit-cum-Means scholarships to 25% undergraduate students. Besides, there are several endowment scholarships offered by the Institute. Some other facilities are also provided to undergraduate students in the form of Institute free studentship, scholarships, reimbursement of mess charges and pocket allowances to the students belonging to the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes. All the students (non-sponsored) admitted to M.Tech or MPharm programmes are provided financial assistance equivalent to the Junior Research Fellowships. The institute also offers a large number of Junior/Senior Research Fellowships to students admitted to PhD programmes.

Good for placements, infrastructure is average, not bad. Slightly underrated IIT.

Placements: 80% of students got placements in 1 month of the placement season. The lowest package is 8 LPA, the highest package is 52 LPA, and the average package is 14 LPA. Microsoft, Google, Sprinklr, Fico, Grow, Zomato, Meesho, BPCL, Bajaj Auto, Standard Chartered, ICICI Bank, and EXL are the top recruiters. 30% of students got internships. The top roles offered are Software Developer, Business Analyst, and Data Scientist.

Placements: Almost 95-96 percent of students in electrical have been placed. The highest package given is 1.2 crore per annum, which was in the field of cybersecurity. Absolutely satisfied with my college IIT BHU because of facilities and good placement in 2026.

Placements: In the electronics branch, the placement percentage is approximately 81 percent. The highest package is 90 LPA, the lowest is 7.5 LPA, and the average is 23.5 LPA. Top companies are Google, Microsoft, and Nvidia. 40 percent of students got internships in core jobs, where the major company was Nvidia, and a few also got internships in SDE. Roles include VLSI, embedded systems, and PCB.

Very good college ancient college in India.

Placements: In the placement of the current batch, there are 87 companies that offered internships to students. Major companies like Microsoft, Apple, Nvidia, Goldman Sachs, Rubric, VISA, ThoughtSpot, Axxela, American Express etc. The highest package of our college is 2.20 Crore at present year and the average package of the college is 22 LPA. There are 1128 students placed in the present year. The percentage of students getting placements is about 80 percent.

IIT BHU provides financial aid to students based on merit, income & category. The benefits include 25% MCM scholarships for undergraduates with full fee waivers for SC/ST students, mess reimbursements & stipends for M.Tech/Ph.D. students.

Yes, you might be able to get a seat at  IIT BHU with a rank of 700 if you belong to the SC All India category. For this category, the cutoff in round 1 ranged from 1529 to 1557, based on the round 1 of the  BHU JAM cutoff 2026
