IIT BHU Cutoff 2025: Check JEE Advanced Round Wise Cutoff Ranks

After JEE session 2 is completed, only those candidates who are aiming for IITs need to start preparing for JEE Advanced after clearing JEE Main. Those who are above the 98th percentile should start preparing for JEE Advanced as soon as possible. Those below this, between the 95th and 98th percentile, should focus on attempting more mock tests and previous year question papers so that they have a better chance of clearing JEE Advanced

IIT BHU accepts JEE Advanced score, followed by JoSAA Counselling for admission to the BTech courses. IIT BHU cutoff 2023 was concluded after Round 6 of the JEE Advanced Seat Allotment Result. As per IIT BHU cutoff 2023, the last round closing rank for BTech was ranged between 1366 and 24641 for the BTech courses. IIT Varanasi Cutoff 2024 for admission to BTech/Integrated BTech/BArch courses was concluded. The IIT Varanasi Cutoff 2024 was released throughout 6 rounds, for different categories under the AI quota. Among the General AI category candidates, the Cutoff ranks across multiple specialisations closed at a range of 1071 and 22390. Among the OBC AI category, the Cutoff closed at a range of 524 and 8177.

According to the IIT BHU cutoff 2023, the closing ranks were  3358 and 3534, for the General AI category as per the first and last rounds.  BTech in  Electrical Engineering admission at IIT BHU is done through the JEE Advanced rank, followed by the JoSSA counselling process. Therefore, going by the 2023 cutoff pattern, IIT BHU BTech cutoff 2024, which is to be expected, could be in the range between 3000 and 3500.

IIT Varanasi Cutoff 2024 was concluded for MSc admission. The Institute provides admission to MSc courses on the basis of performance in IIT JAM exam. During the last-round cutoff for MSc admission, the cutoff was released for - MSc in Physics and MSc in Chemistry. IIT Varanasi JAM Cutoff 2024 has been released for Round 2. The most competitive course was M.Sc in Chemistry, with the Cutoff of 387, for the General AI category candidates. For the OBC AI category candidates, the Cutoff for M.Sc in Chemistry was 663. 

If not eligible for IIT Varanasi, candidates can opt for IIT Gandhinagar with a linient cutoff of 404, for M.Sc in Chemistry, for the General AI category candidates. 

IIT BHU Varanasi provides a large number of courses in a variety of courses. These courses are offered mainly in the Engineering field, as well as a few others. For Engineering admissions, the students must appear for the JEE Mains and JEE Advanced exams. For admissions into other courses, students can visit the official website and check the relevant details. For instance, other entrance tests accepted at IIT BHU include names like GPAT,  GATE,  ICAR AIEEA,  IIT JAM,  CUET PG, etc.

Candidates who have BE/BTech/MSc or equivalent with (a) CGPA 6.00 on a 10-point scale or 60% marks in aggregate for General/OBC (Non Creamy Layer)/EWS. Category with valid GATE score BTech from IITs with CGPA of 8.00 without GATE are also eligible for admission. AMIE / Grad. IETE are eligible for the M.Tech programme at IIT BHU.

For 2023, the cut-off was 10232 for General category candidates in All India quota for BTech in Civil Engineering in IIT BHU, Varanasi - Indian Institute of Technology. For female candidates in the general category under the All India quota, 16396 was the closing rank. BTech cut-off varies depending on the category and domicile/quota of the applicant.

Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 55% aggregate is the basic eligibility for MSc offered at IIT Varanasi. Candidates with a minimum of aggregate are eligible for the course.

For students in the General AI category seeking admission to the BTech in CSE, the JEE Advanced last round cutoff ranks observed fluctuating trend over three years. The IIT BHU JEE Advanced last round closing rank was 1079 in 2023, which decreased to 1071 in 2024. The cutoff rank then increased to 1489 in 2025 for the General AI category students.
