What is JEE Advanced - Key Highlights
The Joint Entrance Examination (Advanced) is the test to shortlist candidates for admission in undergraduate engineering and science programs at Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). The test is conducted every year in May month.

JEE Advanced 2027 Eligibility Criteria - Who Can Give Exam
To appear in JEE Advanced 2027, students need to fulfill certain conditions. The complete list of JEE Adv eligibility are given her
- Before applying for JEE Advanced, candidates have to qualify JEE Mains exam conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) by securing marks above the cutoff percentile score.
- Candidates form any nation (India or foreign country) can apply
- Candidates must no be older than 25 years of age
- Must have passed class 12/equivalent exam not earlier than one year from the year of taking JEE Advanced. Candidates appearing in class 12/equivalent exam in the year of taking JEE Advanced are also eligible

JEE Advanced 2027 Exam structure
The entrance exam consists of two papers - Paper 1 and 2, conducted in a single day in two separate slots (morning and evening). Students are required to solve both papers. The questions in both papers are asked from Physics, Chemistry and Maths topics of class 11 and 12, with difficulty level at par with board exams.
The questions in both papers are multiple choice questions with one correct answer, multiple choice questions with more than one correct answers, matching type questions, fill in the blanks and questions for which answer is a numerical value.
All question types have separate markings, ranging from 1 to 4. Negative marking is also provided for incorrect answers.
The exam is held online as a computer-based test at various locations in India and abroad. Candidates can appear in exam from any city of their choice. The preference of exam city has to be provided while applying for the exam.

How to Prepare for JEE Advanced Exam 2027
Preparing for JEE Advanced is easier only when planned in advance. It is not an exam which can not be passed in two-three or six months. Candidates have to study regular for at least one year with full dedication to clear it.
- The first and foremost step in passing the JEE Advanced is to self-evaluate your preparation for the exam by solving previous year question papers. If you’re able to solve previous year questions, you’re one step closer.
- If you’re not able to solve or even understand the JEE Advanced previous year question paper, you need to start studying without any wait.
- Collect the right set of books and start learning the basic concepts of all topics that are covered in the exam. You can take help from your teachers or friends, check book reviews online to know which books are best for IIT JEE preparation. It is advised to study from NCERT books and one additional book for all three subjects.
- If you have difficulty in understanding the basic concepts, you must take help from teachers or join any coaching institute.
- Study daily without a miss. Perseverance is the key to score good marks in this exam. Dedicate at least two hours daily for each subject, six hours in total specifically for JEE Advanced from Monday to Friday. Revise all topics on Saturday and solve questions on Sunday.
- Join JEE Advanced online test series in the last two months, preferably after JEE Mains to know where do you stand in road to success.

JEE Advanced 2027 Registration
The application form of JEE Advanced will be released online in the website jeeadv.ac.in. The forms are released separately for foreign and Indian candidates. The application process for foreign and Indian candidates differs a bit.
To apply, foreign candidates need to first register in the JEE Advanced 2027 portal by providing their personal, family and educational details after which they can fill the application form.
Indian candidates have to directly fill the form by login to JEE Advanced portal using their JEE Main application number and password.
Both Indian and foreign candidates will need to upload the required documents and pay application fees. The form will be considered submitted only after the fee payment is done.

JEE Advanced Admit Card 2027
Admit card will be released online in the official website jeeadv.ac.in around a week before the exam.
All registered candidates will be issued the hall ticket to appear in the exam. Candidates have to download the admit card from the official website by login using their JEE Advanced registration number and password.
Details about JEE Advanced 2027 exam date and time, address of the exam centre and exam day instructions will be mentioned in the admit card. On the exam day, candidates have to carry their admit card and one photo ID proof (for candidate identity verification) to the exam centre.
JEE Advanced 2027 Result
IIT Delhi will announce the result of JEE Advanced 2027 in June first week. The scorecard will be available for download online which will have details about candidates marks in the exam and qualification status. All candidates who qualify will be assigned an All India Rank which will be mentioned in their scorecard. Qualified candidates becomes eligible for admission in IIT.
