Q: How are BTech placements at Institute of Engineering and Science, IPS Academy, Indore?

Very good for students who want to study and also want to enjoy their college life.

Placements: Placement is pretty much okay, not too bad or good. Companies come there, but the qualification required for an interview is very strict. Compared to their packages, the strictness is not good. But the overall average for placement. It gives an average package of 4 LPA to 5 LPA.

Infrastructure: Hostels are not too big compared to a college campus. The infrastructure of the college is very good. It is extremely well-organised. There is a very big ground for the students. Swimming, chess, dance, and many other things are organised by the college.

Faculty: Faculty members are very good, they help us in every field, even with emotional help. They help us in studies, developing new skills, and also help us become good humans, which is one of the most important things. All faculty members are extremely well-trained.

Other: Every month, there is an event.

I am not dissatisfied with the campus, it is good but in case of placement it is not good for me.

Placements: If we talk about the placement in IPS campus, it is not good for me because I didn’t get the opportunity to get placed in any company. But there was the time where the IT market had been down. Some of my friends did get placed in well-known companies also.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure of the campus is good according to me. There should be labs as well which are formed for every aspect, and there should be multiple buildings in the campus of different departments. There are separate classrooms for every subject and a well-formed guidance section for the students.

Faculty: Exams are good according to the campus because there are several head teachers who conduct the exam. As we know, the IPS campus has its own University, so there is no need to conduct the exam from another exam portal as well. Teachers also support the students for exams.

Other: There are several events happening in the campus like competitions, sports day and all. There will be the annual function also for the students to participate in different cultural programmes.

I am absolutely satisfied with this college. The faculty is helpful. It is value for money.

Placements: Many students got placed in this college. The lowest package is 3 LPA, and the highest package is 36 LPA. The average package ranges from 3-4 LPA. Top companies that recruit students from this college are Trilogy Innovations, GAIL, BNY, etc. The lowest number of students got internships. The top roles offered are software developer and analyst.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good. Labs, Wi-Fi, and all buildings are good. There are canteens. There is a wide range of good sports for cricket, football, basketball, and many other sports. There is also a mess. There is no hostel for boys in college. The cleaning facilities are good.

Faculty: Teachers are good and helpful. Exams are conducted by the IPS himself, so teachers are strict. They are also helpful in conducting any events and extracurricular activities. In every semester, the minimum marks required are 18 out of 60. Exams are easy, and teachers provide notes.

Other: There are good types of events. Events conducted are low compared to other engineering colleges. I chose this course because of its package.

One of the best colleges in Indore.

Placements: Approximately 75% of students are placed in the CSE stream. The highest package is 22 LPA and the lowest is 3.5 LPA. Companies like TCS, Tech Mahindra, Infosys, and many other MNCs come here. 100% of students have received internships from the course studied in college. Roles such as senior software engineer and senior web developer.

Infrastructure: IPS Academy has the best infrastructure compared to other colleges in Indore. Classrooms are well-maintained, the cleaning staff, the water and food facilities are good. The campus grounds are much larger than those of others.

Faculty: The teaching method of the faculty at the college is very good, and they ensure that students don't face problems. Examinations are very strict, with three invigilators in every room during the exam. The semester exams are very tough, and the pass percentage is 33%.

Other: I chose this course because I have to pursue a career in software engineering, I need to improve the attendance system. Many events are performed in the college, and tech events are organized by the college.

IPS Academy Indore honest review by 1st semester student.

Placements: Students in the 7th-8th semester become eligible for campus placement. During placements, many companies visit the college, including TATA Consultancy Services, Wipro, Tata AIG, HDFC Bank, Infosys, etc. The average salary package offered is 6 LPA-7.5 LPA and the highest salary package offered is around 11 LPA-12 LPA. The exact percentage of placement remains unknown.

Infrastructure: College and department buildings have a good infrastructure, but there is no Wi-Fi inside the campus also there is a lot of network issue. Classrooms are equipped with a smartboard or projector and also have normal black or whiteboards. There are no air-conditioners in classrooms. Library is very big, and clean and is classified based on the semester and department. For sports facilities, we don't have separate periods, one should be active and should particularly approach the sports coach for the games. Mess is good with quality food over the affordable price.

Faculty: Every faculty member is very humble and experienced. They try to interact with each student in the classroom. The total number of students in each class is 60-75, but the present entities are only 40-45 so the teacher-student ratio is 1:45. Course curriculum does not entirely seem to be relevant and it does not exactly make students industry-ready. Pass percentage is quite high and only a few fail if they are absent in exam for other reasons. Semester exams are quite moderately tough but one can pass them easily.

Other: I chose this course as I got a tuition fee waiver seat, in which all tuition fee is reduced from the fees making it a value-for-money course. Some teaching methods and faculty-student interaction can be improved. The college hosts an annual fest for engineering students called the Swaranjali, usually in feb or march for 3 days.

The Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech/BE/B.Sc Engineering) is a degree awarded by universities to students who have completed four years (eight semesters) worth of coursework related to a specific branch of engineering. Most colleges operate on semester basis i.e each year corresponds to two semesters. Eligibility for entry is 10+2 years of school education. Generally the first year (first two semesters) is common to all branches, and has the same subjects of study. Courses divert after first year. The medium of instruction and examination is English and IES is affiliated to RGPV university. IES offers engineering in various branches like: computer science, civil, fire technology, electronics and telecommunication, electrical engineering, chemical engineering. Including all the streams in BTech the number of seats available are around 1700-1800.

You can get direct admission in CSE branch at IPS Academy without appearing in JEE Entrance exam through Management Quota. You can secure your admission in Management Quota by visiting the Admission cell of IPS near Canteen but you'll need to pay some extra charges for that.
