For the preparation of a government job, this college is the best. Fees are very affordable.
Placements: Placement is not good in JEC Jabalpur. In top branches like CSE, IT, only 50%-60% of students got placed. In 2023, the highest package was 10 LPA on campus and 52 LPA off campus. Top recruiting companies are TCS, Wipro, L&T, etc. Getting an internship is nearly impossible without college help. Everyone has to find internships on their own. For core companies, WCR railways, and PWD construction are companies that offer internships but unpaid.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of JEC Jabalpur is very old. Since this college was established in 1947, therefore buildings are very outdated in appearance. Artificial Intelligence and Mechatronics branch is new branch. So, they have new building which has everything, lift, CCTV cameras, etc. Wi-Fi is not available even in library. Hostel food is very bad. Culture of hostel students is not acceptable. Even I have heard that many seniors takes ragging of juniors.
Faculty: Faculty members are very experienced when it comes to senior faculty. They have done their master's or Ph.D. at IITs and many from NITs. But assistant professors are not so good. Course is outdated. Even beyond our AI era. It doesn't makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are of an average difficulty level. But here, scoring a good CGPA is not easy. Pass percentage is nearly 70%.
Other: Since I belong to Jabalpur, and this college is a few minutes from my home. I chose this college. The best thing is only I can only learn coding as well in my branch because embedded system needs coding. I wish college would improve practical knowledge instead of theoretical knowledge. Events are never conducted here.

The college is worth it in terms of return on investment.
Placements: About 75% to 80% of students are placed in different companies almost every year. The highest placement is 45 LPA in 2021 at Amazon and 23 LPA in 2022 at Walmart. The average placement in my college is about 4.5 to 5 LPA. The top recruiters are HCL, Wipro, Infosys, etc. The best thing about my college is its strong alumni network. It was established in 1947, and it is India's second oldest engineering college after IIT Roorkee. It is the first college in India to start electronics and telecommunication engineering.
Infrastructure: Facilities provided by the college are also very good. There is a big library which contains thousands of books and proper labs. The infrastructure in our college is average, as its building is about 76 to 77 years so the infrastructure is average. In our college, a sports fest named Aavahan occurs every year.
Faculty: Teachers are very qualified. Some teachers are Ph.D. holders, and others are doing great work in their higher studies. In our college, there is a well-maintained lab that provides practical knowledge to students so that they can prepare for the industry and excel in their future.
Other: Students join this college because it is a very renowned institute.

Totally amazed by the improvement. Improved placements, faculty members, and no regret.
Placements: Placements have improved significantly. The new principal Mr. Rajeev Chandak sir has done a tremendous job. Around 80% of students get placed this year mostly in the IT sector. But still quite an improvement as compared to the last few years. The highest package is around 15 LPA. The average salary ranges from 5 LPA to 6 LPA. Still, there is room for improvement in the other core branches. The college is doing very well as of now.
Infrastructure: The EC department is very old, and maybe not the best infrastructure. But the quality and discipline are amazing. Hostel is very well-maintained and ragging-free. There are no fights and hostelers live peacefully. Hostel food is seriously a mess, I mean really mess. So you will have to look for some other source of food.
Faculty: Professors are highly qualified. Most of them have PhDs from IITs. They are very helpful as well, especially our HOD, MS Bhavna Jhariya mam, she thinks a lot about the well-being of the students. The curriculum seems a bit old, but definitely is relevant. The exams are a bit difficult, but you can pass by studying one night before exams. At the end of the program, students become highly employable. Although the placements are not very good in EC currently.
Other: I chose EC because this college has the oldest EC branch in the whole of India, also it is my favourite branch. I want the principal and HOD to improve the infrastructure of the department, other than that it's perfect. There are various fests like Tedx, Inertia, Avahan, Prahar, etc., that happen every year. Campus is very large and green. Extra-curricular activities are allowed but students are very busy so, not much trend. It has great roads connecting to the departments.

Placement percentages are not high as many students don't want to work in private firms, So they prepare for GATE/psu.

It is the oldest college in Madhya Pradesh.
Placements: 75% of students get placed in my course. The highest package offered in the course is 25 LPA. The lowest package is 3.5 LPA. The average package is 12 LPA. Top recruiting companies for my course are TCS, Wipro, L&T, Jio, etc. 60-70% of students got internships from my course in companies like Crisp and Udemy.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure and facilities are good. Wi-Fi, labs, and the library are also good. The hostel mess is good, neat and clean. Canteen is very good. Sports and games fests are also organised by senior. The SBI Bank and ATM are also available.
Faculty: The teaching quality of my professors is very good. In some semesters, professors teaching quality is low. The semester exam's difficult level is moderate to hard, and sometimes it will be easy. The average CGPA of my course is 7.5-8.5. The top CGPA of my course is 9-9.5.

Decent college with very low fees.
Placements: In my course, almost 30% of students are placed every year. Most of the companies that come to the campus are either service-based or core companies. The average package that students receive is 4-5 LPA. The college doesn't provide internships, and the students have to find them on their own.
Infrastructure: The hostel life at JEC is pretty decent, and the hostels, even after being very old, are in normal conditions. The mess food is average, and different festivals are celebrated in the hostel. Ragging is banned in hostels. The college departments have a library, a water cooler, and Wi-Fi, but the conditions of fans and benches in all classrooms are not that good.
Faculty: The faculty members are well-versed and qualified individuals in their field. Most of the faculty members are helpful and try to cover the syllabus as properly as possible. The course curriculum is a little outdated, but still it is relevant for the industry, but the college needs to focus on labs and a more practical approach, as most of the lab classes are of no use for students. The semester exams are conducted in a fair manner every semester, and the difficulty level is moderate. Students need to pass all the exams and practicals to be considered pass. In theory, exams passing marks are 22 out of 70.
Other: I chose this course because I had a deep interest in electronics and wanted to contribute and learn in this field as much as possible. The only thing I would improve about my course is the lab classes so that the students not only get theoretical knowledge but practical knowledge as well. The campus life is below average in this college. No fests are conducted. Only an annual sports event is conducted. There are different clubs like raag, danonjec, etc. for students interested in the creative fields.

It is a college very old college. Placement records are very good and faculty behavior is good.
Placements: It is a very good college for placement records. A minimum of 50% of students are placed in good companies. The college's highest, average, and lowest packages, respectively, are 11 lakhs, 4.5 lakhs, and 3 lakhs. Top recruiting companies are TCS, IBM, L&T, MANTRA, RELIANCE, TEJASVE, more.
Infrastructure: Jabalpur Engineering College is a very old college; it was established in 1947. In this college, there is very good infrastructure—all departments, Wi-Fi, labs, classrooms, and good quality. The library and labs have very qualified lab attendants and library teachers that very much help your career and subject.
Faculty: Jabalpur Engineering College is a very old college. This college professor well qualified all teachers at IITs, NITs, BITs, and other top institutions. Teachers have Ph.D.s and all big exams like GATE, net jre, etc. This college teachers give very quality-based knowledge about industry, companies, and other research institutes.
Other: I want a good technical job, and my interest in this field is very good. Electronics and telecommunications is a very technical course that provides good knowledge about mobile and electronics machines.

Not good if expectations are very high. Good for students preparing for government exams.
Placements: I myself, being a 4th-year student right now, have seen the past three years, which gives an idea that after COVID, the placements have gone down. The core branches like mechanical, civil, and electrical do offer jobs comparatively more as compared to IT and CS in this college. Companies like L&T, Reliance, Mahindra do come for placements. The average package is between 2.5-3.5 LPA. The college doesn't provide any internships. Only 20-30% of students get placed, and others prepare for other exams.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of this college is very poor as it is an old college; its design is of the 90s type. The college doesn't provide Wi-Fi on its campus, and only in the library, you will get Wi-Fi, and that too, you have to create an account from the IT department to access it. In the hostel, you also don't have Wi-Fi. The library does not provide books other than those of subjects. The hostel has a big ground where you can play cricket and football, and it also has a volleyball court inside the hostel campus. There are 8 hostels for boys and 3 hostels for girls, and both types of hostels are in different places, with no connection between them. The mess is okay for boys, and the hostel doesn't have a canteen.
Faculty: Teachers are least bothered about teaching; the permanent faculty are well qualified but do not teach regularly. Students need to study by themselves and need to look after their careers by themselves; no one is there to guide in the college. The college doesn't make students ready for the industry. To pass the exam is not that tough; if you do previous years' questions well, you will pass the exam very easily; you only need to fill at least 25 pages of the answer sheet.
Other: I chose the course and college because the outside reality is something different, and when you reach out there, it is something else. I heard, and I went; that was the case without knowing the reality. The course is an outdated one; it should be updated looking at the present scenario of the world. The college doesn't conduct any fest by itself; students do it by themselves after requesting many times; they grant permission.

This college offers a B.Tech. degree at a very affordable price.
Placements: We are in our second year of college. As per seniors, the highest package was INR 10 lacs/annum on campus, and the average is INR 4 lacs/annum, but it all depends on us. The highest package off campus was INR 40 lacs per annum. Roles can be in web development, data analysis, or the software field. 50% of students got placed.
Infrastructure: Systems are available; there is AC in the labs. Wi-Fi is not available in every department, but it is in some. Classrooms are average. The library is very helpful; there are books that you can borrow, and you can sit and study there peacefully. Again, the hostel is very affordable and has very tight security. The mess food is also good.
Faculty: Some teachers are very helpful. Teachers are knowledgeable and have a great deal of experience in teaching. The toughness of semester exams depends on your branch, and even checking. The course curriculum is relevant. In the end, it seems you have to score 22/70 in theory and pass the practical exam in each subject.
Other: A BE in electronics and telecommunications has a lot of scope. In this course, you are taught software as well as hardware, so you have more options to choose from.
