Review of Jabalpur Engineering College.
Placements: Approximately 70-80% of students in my course secure placements. The highest package offered is 16 LPA, the average package is 6.5 LPA, and the lowest package is 3.5 LPA in the Industrial & Production Engineering department. Top multinational companies such as Tata Motors, Reliance, Tata Advanced Systems, Havells, HCL, and TCS etc. Recruit students, offering both high and average salary packages. Additionally, around 70% of students receive internships and pre-placement offers. Companies like Tata Advanced Systems, Reliance, Hexaware, and other manufacturing and production firms actively hire from this course. The top roles offered include machine design, manufacturing engineering, quality engineering, and production engineering, providing students with excellent career opportunities in the industry.
Infrastructure: The department's classroom halls are hygienic, well-maintained, and air-conditioned, with Wi-Fi facility available. The department also has its own library, which is well-stocked with over 2 lakh books, making it the best place for studying. The hostel facilities are not very good but still provide single rooms shared by two students. The environment is hygienic and calm. The quality of mess food is not great, especially in terms of taste, but the canteen offers better-quality snacks and beverages. Medical facilities are also available. For sports programs and recreational activities, the hostel has a playground and a sports club. However, certain areas need improvement, including the department building, classroom electricity and smartboard connections, lab facilities, faculty availability, and the department’s drinking water system.
Faculty: The interaction between teachers and students is wonderful, and faculty members are helpful by nature. Teachers are well-qualified, having cleared national eligibility examinations and completed their degrees such as B.Tech, M.Tech, and Ph.D. from recognized institutions like IITs, NITs, and other prestigious colleges. The teaching quality is excellent. This course curriculum is relevant for roles in designing, production, company management, manufacturing, and metal forming, making students industry-ready. The semester exams are difficult due to the autonomous syllabus and subjects in this college. A minimum of 60% is required to pass.
Other: This course is ideal for students interested in industrial and design roles in companies. One of its best features is the mechanical workshop, where students gain hands-on experience in metal casting, shaping, and manufacturing etc. The college organizes various events such as cultural programs, tech fests, workshops, noble programs, and science exhibitions. The campus crowd is highly motivated in the field of engineering, and alumni connectivity is excellent. The campus surroundings are naturally peaceful and attractive, creating a conducive learning environment. Students can avail themselves of several scholarships, including the Mukhymantri Medhavi Vidyarthi Yojna, government scholarships, SC/ST scholarship schemes, and tuition fee waivers etc. Additionally, the college encourages extracurricular activities such as tech events, company seminars, sports, and student power awareness programs etc. Helping students develop both academically and personally.

Placements: This year, 70% of the students were placed with a salary package of 7 to 8 LPA. The highest package was offered by LNT, which came for mass recruiting this year and placed 11 to 15 students. The lowest package this year was 5 to 6 LPA. The faculty prepared the students for their interviews and helped them with their personality development.
Infrastructure: The labs are well-equipped, and the library is full of books and other resources. The college also offers a lot of extracurricular activities, which is great for developing students' personalities.
Faculty: The teachers are well qualified and very knowledgeable. They have prepared me well for my future and have helped me get ready for the corporate world. The semesters are well planned and knowledge-based, and 99% of the students clear them. The faculty provides guidance to help students prepare for their semesters.

JEC is a nice engineering college in central India. It was established in 1947.
Placements:
The placement of this college is good. There are great return of investment in Jabalpur Engineering College. There are many companies like L&T, TCS, Wipro, and others recruit from maximum branches. The overall placement of this college is not so great but according to the ROI, the college placement is decent.
Infrastructure: The campus area of Jabalpur Engineering College is around 250 acres. Classrooms are vast and the library is also decent. There is basketball court also in this college and the overall campus is satisfactory. The hostel of Jabalpur Engineering College is nice and there are many playgrounds for students on the hostel campus. The hostel mess food is average but you have also option to join outside mess.
Faculty: Faculty members of Jabalpur Engineering College are knowledgeable and supportive. There is no partiality among the students. They teach with smart and advanced technologies like smart boards and there are CNC machines in labs. The syllabus is quite relevant and gives students real-time industry experiences.
Other: I chose this college because of its reputation and a great return on investment. The alumni network is also very strong. But there is a lack of cultural, social events, and sports fest.

Placements: My college offers very good placements as compared to other colleges in the city offering B.Tech. According to the placement report of the previous year, the highest package offered was INR 14 LPA, and the lowest package stood at INR 3 LPA, whereas the average package offered was INR 6-7 LPA. Around 50% students get placements every year.
Infrastructure: My college offers very good facilities and infrastructure. Buildings are well-maintained but not much renovated in the past few years. Classes are good, but no Wi-Fi access. There are various departments and labs for students. College library is huge, offering a lot of books and spacious seating for students. Canteen food is also very good, and canteen is a decent size and affordable.
Faculty: Teachers in my course are very supportive, well-qualified, and experienced in their respective fields. They are helpful with various aspects. Curriculum is relevant, and our college provides good industry exposure. Semester exams are moderately difficult. Students have to study consistently over the semester to pass exam with good scores.
Other: I chose this course because of my interest in this field and good growth prospects. Our college organises a few events and fests every year. Campus is surrounded by greenery, fostering vibrant campus life. Scholarships are provided to students who meet specific eligibility criteria and to students who perform exceptionally good in academics.
