I am not fully satisfied. The college has good events.

Placements: 40 percent students get placed, with packages ranging from 3 LPA to 12 LPA and an average of 4 LPA. Top recruiters include TCS, JK Cement, Cognizant, IBM, Reliance, L&T and Volvo. Key roles offered are Junior Executive, Technical Sales Engineer and R&D Consultant. Several students also secure internships in core and interdisciplinary domains gaining valuable industry exposure.

Infrastructure: The college holds a prestigious reputation with a long academic legacy. However, the infrastructure is quite old and shows its age, though renovation and development work are currently underway to improve facilities. The library is functional and useful. Wi-Fi access is available, mainly around the departmental areas. The quality of food in the mess is average and could be better in terms of taste and hygiene. Sports facilities are decent and basic but usable. Students get opportunities to participate in various games and physical activities.

Faculty: Faculty members are well-qualified and have good experience in their respective subjects. However, many of them seem to lack the motivation to engage students effectively in the learning process. Most classes tend to be formalities, with limited interaction or practical insight, which affects overall understanding and interest.

Other: I chose the course out of interest in circuits, but now I find it tough. It is best for those who are strong in math and logic. The college has sports fests, seminars, state scholarships and many hobby based clubs.

Review of Jabalpur Engineering College.

Placements: In JEC, Jabalpur, around 50-60% of students get on-campus placements. Top recruiting companies for our course are Infosys, TCS, Tech Mahindra, etc. The highest package of on-campus placements is around 25 LPA. Chances of getting placements are higher if we are from core branches like electrical, mechanical, and computer science.

Infrastructure: The campus area is around 250 acres. All labs like a mechanical, workshop, etc., are provided with a well-defined structure and all facilities.

Faculty: Teachers and all professors are helpful. They give us the correct information and also help us in other terms like our personal life related, ragging related, etc. The number of faculty members is more than 200 so we can easily meet them at any time we want. Courses available in JEC, Jabalpur are B.Tech in CS IT, ALDS, Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, and industrial production (IP) engineering.

Other: Fests are very limited. The campus crowd is also less. Scholarships are also given that contain 100% of our fee. The campus area is large, so sports facilities are also good.

My thoughts are good for an engineering degree but I do not expect very good jobs.

Placements: Placements in this college are very good. They have proper planning regarding placements. This college brought many good companies for students every year. Their motive regarding placements to all students to get placed in a good position with a minimum salary package of 4 LPA. This college brought companies like TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, Sify, Deloitte, and many other companies. The average salary package offered is 3.6 LPA. The highest salary package offered is 12 LPA.

Infrastructure:

Faculty: The faculty management of this college is very good. All faculty members in this college are almost qualified and completed PG and M.Tech degrees. They are well-experienced also. They always support students in everything related to studies in a good perspective manner.

Other: This college always conducts events like college fest related to every branch and annual day every year with good arrangements. They share good thoughts and life lessons for students related to how to live in a good way. This college always conducts good curricular activities like quiz competitions and mind games. They provide cash prizes for students who get the first position.

Average rating for placement. It is the best for personality learning and academic studies.

Placements: In electrical engineering, the placement rate has been low for the past 4 to 5 years. But I think it will improve and go above average in the future. The highest salary package offered at campus is 45 LPA, and one student got 1 crore LPA off-campus. Core branches are more suitable for government jobs. So, students have plenty of time to prepare or do internships in government sectors.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is pretty good, but it's old. However, they are renovating it. The campus has facilities that an average student can afford, like the library, parking, canteen, on-campus post office, SBI banking, an ATM, etc.

Faculty: I'll give a 5-star rating, especially for the teachers. They are very supportive, helpful, and well-knowledgeable since it’s a government college. Semester exams are average. Sometimes course will be completed and we have to prepare for the entire course, which affects our GPA.

Other: This college is one of the oldest and most well-known in India. It has a great history of being a leader in technical institutions. College management also plays an important role in maintaining its legacy.

Review of Jabalpur Engineering College.

Placements: In core branches, the placement record is very low, but in CS and IT, companies like TCS, IBM place students. The highest on-campus package is 10 LPA, and the average package is 3.5 LPA. Most of the students are placed in the role of GETs, although the companies allow all branches to sit for the placement, very few students clear the cutoff.

Infrastructure: Books in the library are old and not kept well. The library is very big, but the books mentioned in the syllabus are very few in number. Labs for core branches like EE have old machines which do not work properly, and the lab periods are not taken seriously.

Faculty: The teachers are cooperative as most of the faculty is guest faculty, and they listen to the students. The curriculum is updated regularly in accordance with AICTE, but the teachers' notes are not sufficient for clearing the exams. Students have to prepare by themselves through YouTube or online classes. The exams are not too difficult, and any student can clear the exam if they study with average dedication.

Absolutely a great experience in campus.

Placements: From your 6th semester, you can try out for placement even outside the campus. Almost 40 companies visited this year and offered a maximum of 15 lpa and the average of JEC is 6 lpa which is quite decent. About 70 percent of students got placed this year and I am also looking for campus placement.

Infrastructure: Not having a festival around the year is a great drawback of this college but a single sport festival is held every year in the college known by the name of AVAHAN. The library in this college is well equipped with all kinds of books and journals. Classroom are in good condition for the new departments only and classes are just normal without digital boards

Faculty: Faculty is good in this college and the ratio of faculty to students is good even if there is a shortage. Guest teachers are invited immediately and faculty is always available for students at any time of working hours .my personal favorite teacher here is Mr. Abhishek Vaniya. He is our physics teacher and always helps us. The level of the exam is as expected from an engineering college but the syllabus here is outdated.

Other: The transport facility is available 24*7 and scholarship is sanctioned by the Madhya Pradesh government. Financially weak & reserved category candidates are eligible for scholarships.

College principal should be a women.

Placements: There are 30 percent of students who got placed in core branches. The highest package of core branch is INR 8 lacs by LNT company. Top recruiting companies for core branches are Reliance, LNT, etc. There are many students from core branches who got the IT sector jobs. In the core branches, labs are good.

Infrastructure: The main facility of Electrical engineering department is that its labs are good. Some machines should be repaired but most of it in the labs are useful. There are also sports facilities. Canteen's level should be increased.

Faculty: Faculty of the my department is well qualified from IIT and other very good universities. I think who wants to go in core field, this course curriculum is very relevant for them. The difficulty level of semester exam is very good, as is helps us to improve our logics on that particular field or subject .

Other: According to my JEE mains rank, that is compulsion, for me at the counseling I was told to take this branch. Otherwise, in the era of computers most of the JEE aspirant's first choice is computer science engineering.

Our college is good and provides off-campus placements with fewer attendance issues.

Placements: As this is the core branch most students target IT sector jobs or go for GATE or CAT exams as jobs in the core field are very less. Students must apply off-campus. Around 1 to 2 core companies visit the campus with a salary package of 3 to 4 LPA. Students can get a better salary package off-campus.

Infrastructure: Students get free time to prepare for competitive exams in this college. Hostels are maintained and are not in the worst condition but has no air-conditioners and personal washrooms.

Faculty: Teachers are qualified but students do self-study for exams. Exams aren't that hard if you complete the syllabus. Students can use previous year papers available in local shops near the college for exam preparation. As the college is autonomous they don't follow any particular book they have their syllabus which you must follow. Students can get leave easily without any attendance problems with the mutual understanding with teachers.

Other: I chose this course based on my choice and JEE rank. Students must join clubs and societies to take part in events. There are government schemes to reduce the fee to Rs.1000 per year. Scholarships are provided for SC and ST candidates is very easy they get stationery products from college while OBC and General candidates have to go through a set of rules for scholarship. Hotel fee is very less Rs.2200 per year.
