Good infrastructure for the students at Jamshedpur Women's College.

Placements: Our Jamshedpur Women's College provides placements in our department. The average package offered is around 3-3 Lacs for freshers. The highest salaries offered are in the IT sector or in Computer Science sector, so if you choose IT or Computer Science, it’s a great decision.

Infrastructure: The Jamshedpur Women's College has buildings at different locations with one branch being in Bistupur and the second building being located in Sidhgora. Old building infrastructure was not good enough, but the new building is good with digital classes also being provided. A digital library is also provided. Lab machines are working properly.

Faculty: The Jamshedpur Women's College has qualified teachers having lots of experience in the field of teaching. They help all the students who inquire about questions related to syllabus or career. The semester examinations are tough but not too much, it depends on you.

Other: As we know that after COVID 19 the dependency on biotechnology students have increased. In our college, the biotechnology department teachers are very qualified, but their practical classes are not good enough due to a crowd of students. Many workshops are also conducted for the students.

Review of Jamshedpur Women's University.

Placements: 80% and above are required for placement. 4 LPA packages are given to Masters students in the computer branch. In the biotechnology department, there will be more placements done in 2023, as given by our HOD, sir. Internships are also provided through the college at SHRM Technologies Pvt. Ltd. in Kolkata.

Infrastructure: Hostel facilities are very good. The food given in the hostel is good. In the lab, all the instruments and chemicals are present. Jamshedpur Women's University's new building's infrastructure is very good. All the classroom maintenance is also done. Each and every department, sir or HOD, is well-behaved with students and helps with study.

Faculty: Yes, teachers helped in every department or subject. All the departments teachers have cleared NET Ph.D. exam. In the semester exam, whatever teachers have taught in class. All the department teachers have more than twelve to thirteen years of experience in their fields.

Other: As we know, the demand for biotechnology is high after Corona, so in this field in the future, there are many scopes.

Good for certain people, bad for others.

Placements: A Bachelors in biotechnology rarely gives you any good job opportunities, however one may get a LT (Lab Technician) job after completion of the course. My recommendation would be to go for Masters. The college used to offer placements, but not anymore, for the above reason. Seniors report getting 20-25 LPA starting offers, post Masters .

Infrastructure: College infrastructure is good but could use more maintenance. The lift is surely a plus, however. Jamshedpur Women's University has become an independent University and now has two campuses. The Sidhgora campus has a 9 storey building for the academic block. The library is well furnished and holds a lot of books. The labs of Science departments have good equipments and apparatus. The computer labs are good too. Almost all lecture halls are equipped with AV systems. I am not a hosteller but I know that the hostel is not the best, but not the worst either.

Faculty: The course curriculum is easy to grasp, doesn't have a steep learning curve, and the lectures are usually easy to grasp. The faculty follows a bilingual teaching style. I wouldn't say it prepares the children for industrial work, but the faculty is insightful that way. Semester exams aren't the hardest, the entire batch passes.

Other: Do not join this college for fun. Do join this college if you can't move out of Jamshedpur for some reason, or if you are preparing for bigger things, CA UPSC sportsperson, etc.). This can be a good college to get a degree from, if you have greater things to focus on in life. My department is bringing changes to make the course better and more challenging for the students so they are ready for the real world, can't say so about every department.

Satisfied with faculty, good placements, and really good infrastructure and facilities.

Placements: It depends on candidates' experience, specialisation, and the employers. The highest is 13 LPA, the average is 9 LPA, and the lowest is 7 LPA in BIT Mesra. Biocon, GSK, Reliance Life Sciences, Cipla. Mainly focus on pharmacy, microbiology, organic chemistry, about 80-90% in Biocon. Bioinformatics specialists, Clinical Research Associate, Epidemiologist.

Infrastructure: Well-mannered lab with all types of equipment. Separate lab and classroom. Related to the subject, all books are in the library. Quite good surroundings in the hostel, and food is okay in the mess and canteen. I don't live in the hostel. Medical facilities are provided and games too.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. They give their best in teaching their students. They also take part in student activities like Children's Day, Freshers' Party, etc. Yes, mid-sem and semester exams are tough. We must pass with 75-80%.

Other: Biotechnology has a lot of scope.
