Placements: Placements at the college are decent but not exceptional. A few reputed companies do visit the campus mostly for roles in sales, marketing and customer support. Core job opportunities are limited especially for non-teach courses. The average package is moderate, and only a handful of students land high-paying offers. You? Ll likely need to rely on off-campus placements or internships if you're aiming for top-tier companies. The placement cell is active and tries to bring opportunities, but there? S still a lot of room for improvement in terms of company variety, job profiles, and industry exposure.

Infrastructure: I? M currently pursuing Sociology, and the course has been a great experience so far with a well-structured syllabus and supportive, knowledgeable faculty who make the subject engaging and thought-provoking The hostel facilities are okayish? Basic amenities are available, but cleanliness, food quality, and overall comfort could definitely be improved.

Faculty: I? M pursuing Sociology, and I? D rate the faculty and curriculum a full 5/5? The professors are supportive, and the syllabus is well-structured and thought-provoking. The infrastructure is great, with clean classrooms and a well-equipped library that creates a good learning environment. Placements are average (3/5)? Some companies visit for sales and marketing roles, but core and high-paying jobs are limited, so off-campus efforts are often needed. The hostel is okayish, with basic facilities but needs improvement in food and maintenance. It is an average but perfect college.

Placements: The sociology department at JDMC, DU, offers diverse career opportunities. While specific data is limited, in UG placements, the average package is 3.83 LPA. Companies like EY, Wipro, and IBM visit the college for placements. Students do internships in NGOs like Helpage India. Roles like research and HR are offered to students.

Infrastructure: JDMC offers well-equipped classrooms, a library, Wi-Fi, and seminar halls for Sociology students. The hostel has good facilities, hygienic food, and medical aid. The canteen serves diverse meals, and sports facilities include a gym, courts, and a large playground.

Faculty: Teachers are so helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Their teaching quality is perfect, especially in my department. This department also offers a lot of activities related to sociology. Exams are difficult only for those who do not study.

Other: I chose Sociology at JDMC for its analytical depth. The best part is its engaging faculty members and field exposure. It should provide more practical training, which could help us. The campus is vibrant, well-connected, and hosts fests. Scholarships and extracurricular activities enrich student life.

Absolutely satisfied with the faculty and college.

Placements: Our course did not offer us any placement. Because it is a non-technical course. All one can do is go for either higher studies or give competitive exams. But it is a very scoring subject. So would be very helpful for civil servant examinations.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is great. It has all the facilities. Even lifts and plans are constructed for specially abled children. There is greenery in the whole college. It has a very big and beautiful library with all the new facilities. Classrooms are very spacious and airy. The girls hostel is very good. With proper security, and food quality is also very nice. There is also a medical room in the college where one can rest or take any medicine. There's a big ground for outdoor sports. And all the games are played and taught.

Faculty: The teachers are highly qualified and knowledgeable. They taught in depth and made us understand everything. One can ask the doubts several times. This course curriculum is very relevant. As it prepares the student to go for higher studies and do research projects or work in NGOs, MNCs, or Civil Service Exams. The level of exams was easy to moderate. The passing percentage is 40% of total marks.

Our college provides good facilities and infrastructure.

Placements: Many students from our course get paid internships and other jobs. Students do many research-oriented programs and get a stipend. Many students go for higher studies and go abroad. It is a NACC A+ college.

Infrastructure: Our college has a beautiful hostel which accommodates a few selected students who have great grades or have any kind of reservations. It provides every needed facility. The food served is great. Wi-Fi is great. Grounds are available in our college. Students can access food in the canteen.

Faculty: Teachers of our course are well-qualified, helpful, and knowledgeable. They are easy to approach. All of them are permanent teachers and the most stable. Semester exams are not difficult to pass as teachers take remedial classes if students want them before exams.

Other: I chose this course to attempt UPSC and want sociology as my optional. Our college is in old Rajinder Nagar, so it is very convenient to prepare for UPSC as this area is known to be the UPSC hub.

Our college faculty of sociology is good.

Placements: Our course doesn't get good placements.

Infrastructure: Hostels are well maintained with limited seats. It is worth getting the hostel with a good mess. Environment is good. Gardens are maintained with greenery.

Faculty: College has good faculty. Sociology departments have the best and most permanent teachers. Many activities are carried out throughout the year and help in the growth of the students. Seniors are friendly and help you in the best possible manner.

Other: Fests are awesome.

I am satisfied with the course.

Placements: Doing a course like honours in sociology doesn't make you eligible for placements right after the completion of your graduation. Some people who did various internships got jobs independently. Companies don't visit our campus for at least sociology Hons. There is a better scope after you do your master's.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of Janki Devi Memorial College is worth seeing. It is so lush green and clean, beautifully maintained, and taken care of. The library is air-conditioned and full of light. Wi-Fi has some problems as it doesn't work in some parts of the college. Classrooms, especially the new ones, are awesome. Other facilities, like the canteen, medical facilities, and sports, are great.

Faculty: Teachers are good by nature. Prof. Vandana Madan and Prof. Rajyalaxmi are exceptionally approachable and intelligent. Some teachers do teach well, but the frequency of students and teachers does not match. The course is so contemporary and relevant. It makes you a totally different person. A big transformation in personality takes place. Exams are not that difficult if you do the previous year's question papers and attend 75% of the classes.

Other: This course gives you a new beginning in your life. A different perception of yourself will emerge after enrolling in this course.

There are great faculty members and infrastructure and interesting courses and campus life.

Placements: I am aware that there are no placements for our B.A Hons in sociology course, but I am not sure about placements of other courses. However, our college provides the perfect platform to pursue study further in the course. There are great faculty members. There are great opportunities for internships and field activities other than academics.

Infrastructure: There is a great infrastructure here. Free Wi-Fi is available here, and there are lab facilities. There is a well-maintained college building including a huge library and canteen space, playgrounds, medical room, washrooms on every floor, elevator and other facilities for physically challenged students and faculty members. There are beautiful gardens, a hostel and a bank branch inside the college building only.

Faculty: Teachers here are very helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. They are friendly and approachable. They guide you not only in academics but also helpful in providing internship opportunities, field activities, etc. The course is well balanced with theoretical philosophies and practical case studies, which are relevant even today. There is a very interesting course curriculum.

Placements: As I am a fresher in this college, I have heard that we are given with good placements in Sociology department. Though I don't know about the salaries given. And about the internship, they are provided by societies, add on courses, and also from the department. You just need to contact the seniors or teachers.

Infrastructure: 1. Classrooms are pretty good and ventilated, not provided with AC. Though the campus is full of greenery. Wi-fi is available, library is quite big and facilitated with AC, laptops, and whole lot of books. 2. Hostel is good with modern infrastructure but the quality of food is not that good. Though you get varieties. Canteen's food is average. Medical facilities are quite nice, we've ganga ram hospital nearby. Whole lot of opportunities in the field for games.

Faculty: Sociology department of JDMC is one of the best department in Delhi University. Teachers are very helpful, fully qualified, and they are full of knowledge about everything they are teaching. The teaching quality is amazing. Teachers give live examples, explain in simple words. 2. Yes, this course is really good for exploring the society and it's values.

Other: I chose this course because I was interested in this subject from my high school. It enhanced my knowledge about different societies and mindset of people about it. We had department fresher's, fests, surrounding is really good with greenery all around, extra curricular is there with different societies of different interest.
