B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering - Batch of 2025
4.6

College offers good infrastructure and faculty members, but placement support needs improvement.
Placements: It's a very good course and there are a lot of opportunities in the future. There will be a high demand for this course, and this has many more specialisations like data science and cyber security. The highest package is 12 LPA which increases every year.
Infrastructure: There are grounds. The infrastructure at JD College of Engineering is well-maintained and student-friendly. There are spacious grounds for outdoor sports and various events. Classrooms are clean and equipped with projectors and comfortable seating. Wi-Fi is available across the campus, which helps with research and online learning. Labs are well-equipped for practical, especially for engineering streams. Library has a good collection of reference books, journals, and digital resources. Hostel facilities are decent, with proper hygiene and 24X7 water and electricity. The mess provides food that is average in taste but hygienic.
Faculty: Faculty members at JD College of Engineering are knowledgeable and supportive. Most teachers are well-qualified and explain concepts clearly. They also provide notes and help during exam time. Course curriculum is designed in line with industry needs, and some subjects are really helpful for placements. There are also seminars and workshops held from time to time. Exams are of moderate difficulty, but regular attendance and studies can help you pass easily.
Other: I chose this course because of my interest in engineering and the good reputation of JD College of Engineering in the region. The best part of the course is the practical exposure through lab sessions and industrial visits. Faculty members are supportive and always ready to guide. The annual fest and other cultural events are well-organized and bring a vibrant atmosphere to the campus.

B. Tech in Artificial Intelligence (AI) - Batch of 2026
3.8

Absolutely satisfied because of the teaching and non-teaching staff and placement is okay.
Placements: I am from the B.Teach artificial intelligence batch of 2026; placement is okay, as far as I know from the seniors. About 60% of students got placed. The highest package was around 8 LPA. There is a compulsory internship for the final year students both on and off campus.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good, with multiple computer labs available, and Wi-Fi is accessible on every floor. Classrooms are equipped with good projectors, but there is no hostel facility. Therefore, students have to arrange their own accommodation nearby. Many rooms are available in the Fetri area, close to the college.
Faculty: The faculty is not that great when it comes to teaching, especially for advanced or practical topics. But they are supportive and helpful in other ways like guiding projects, providing resources, and helping during placements or exams we can approach them easily.
Other: College is good and enjoyable with lots of fun events and decent participation. Scholarships are available for eligible students based on the merit of the government scheme. However technical events are very few and not that active. I chose this college mainly because I wanted to study in the AI branch which was my main focus.

B. Tech in Artificial Intelligence (AI) - Batch of 2026
3.2

Satisfied because of the supportive faculties, good opportunities, college campus, and good learning
Placements: Around 60% of students were placed this year. The highest package was 10 LPA and the average is 4 LPA. The top recruiting companies are Tech Mahindra, and HCL Tech. Almost 70% of the batch has secured their internship in the 8th semester. Apart from technical roles, companies also offer digital marketing roles.
Infrastructure: There is no separate hostel facility for the hostelites. The computer labs and Wi-Fi labs are available with an adequate number of machines. The library is well-equipped with books. One canteen is in the college with good food available at an affordable rate.
Faculty: Faculty members are supportive in nature. The department helps students take part in various coding contests and have thorns, but it’s upon the student who grabs those opportunities and excels. The course curriculum is relevant to the latest trends and technology, and also aptitude, group discussion, and soft skills are available in the curriculum for better training of the student.
Other: I chose this course because of the rise in talks about artificial intelligence and machine learning, so I thought this was the hottest course. Very few colleges were offering B.Tech in artificial intelligence, so I chose this college. Just more participation from the students and also more technical events included would be very helpful for students who really want to code and grow.

B.Tech. in Information Technology - Batch of 2027

Real talk and honest review.
Placements: My course is for 4 years, and each year contains a total of 2 semesters, making a sum of a total of 8 semesters, considering main exams and end-semester exams. Companies such as TCS and Tech Mahindra come for campus placement, but what matters is, do they offer jobs? This is the most asked question.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is quite good from the outside but is not so well-maintained from the inside, making it like clickbait we can say. Mostly, you see the campus from outside, but you ain't gonna stay there. What matters is the classrooms, which are not well.
Faculty: The faculty can be said as average, not so good not so bad. Their behavior is good and a student can be mixed easily, but their teaching method is not so good. They ain't have a fixed schedule for completing the syllabus, which is not good.
Other: The college is quite good you can say. The canteen and the campus are good. It is also an animal-friendly.

I suggest students to be careful while taking admission.
Placements: No company is interested in coming to JD College to select freshers. Campus placements are very poor. Majorly sales jobs are given to students. Students are learning computer science, and the condition is horrible. The maximum package is 4 LPA. The placement percentage is very low.
Infrastructure: There is no hostel in JD College and we have to rent a room 8 kilometers away from the college. Internet doesn't work on the college premises and we are not allowed to go to the library. We can only go when it is a library lecture (which is never). Classrooms are fine with projectors. In labs, computers take 10 minutes just to start, and all the computers are in poor condition.
Faculty: The course curriculum is relevant and good. Faculty members are helpful but only to some extent. Maximum teachers are qualified to teach but their teaching techniques are very bad. After attending lectures all day, all we will get is attendance and we have to study everything on our own.
Other: There are events in college and they are fun. The crowd in college is very cheap and there is no sense of standard in college. Canteen food is ununhygienic. We can find every type of insect in our food. Washroom conditions are also poor. There is no campus life at JD College. We are treated like a student studying in school or something. We are forced to attend lectures just for attendance. We cannot go out of college until college is over.

B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering - Batch of 2026
3.8
3Placements4Infrastructure4Faculty4Crowd & Campus Life4Value for Money
Good academics and average placements.
Placements: I am from the B.Tech Electrical Engineering batch of 2022. The placement scenario in our college is not very good, especially for core branches like Electrical. Only around 30 to 40% of students got placed in my course. The highest package offered was around 6 LPA, and the average package is somewhere between 3 to 3.5 LPA. Most of the companies that visited are from the IT sector, not core Electrical. Top roles offered are usually software developer, system engineer, or such support roles, but for Electrical students, there are very limited options.
Infrastructure: The department has basic infrastructure. There are classrooms with projectors and laptops for machines and measurement, but the equipment is old and sometimes not functional. There is no hostel facility provided by the college, so most students take rooms on rent in nearby areas like Factor Village. It’s a rural area, so there are not many options, and the basic needs have to be managed by the students themselves. Sports facilities are okay; there is a ground for cricket and football and some indoor games like table tennis and badminton.
Faculty: The faculty members in the Electrical Engineering department are quite knowledgeable and supportive. Most of them are well-qualified and teach the core concepts in a clear way. They are approachable outside class and help during project work or if you have any doubts.
Other: The college organizes a few technical and cultural events every year, but they are on an average scale. There are some department events and seminars, but they are not very frequent or large scale. The main annual fest happens once a year, vibrant with basic cultural programs, music, and dance. Participation is decent but not too exciting.
