B.A. (Psychology, Philosophy) - Batch of 2026

Amazing crowd, really good infrastructure and facilites .
Placements: Since I am from B.A. psychology, most of the students in my course opted for Masters rather than placements; however, internships were available to the students and they were regularly informed through the placement cell of the college. Some of the top recruiters present were McKinley and Dettol.
Infrastructure: The one thing I am most grateful for is the very well-built college infrastructure. The campus is well-equipped with a Wi-Fi facility, two computer labs, MPH classrooms, a seminar hall, and an independent 3-story library. Additionally, there are two common rooms for students to spend their leisure time in: an amphitheater, a canteen, and a mother dairy. The college is also different and friendly, with ramps and lifts around the campus.
Faculty: The professors at JMC are highly qualified, and they themselves are DU graduates or postgraduates, so they are well-equipped with the workings of the university. Teaching is mostly done with the help of presentations and practicals. The curriculum is absolutely relevant; however, there were times I felt the theoretical aspects were being emphasized more than the practical aspects. It is not difficult to pass the semester exams; almost every student in my class passed with more than 7 sgpa.
Other: The one thing JMC is very well known for is its events. During the festival season, every week there is a departmental festival or an event being organized.

Our college is worth the money paid.
Placements: Our college provides placements in well-known companies. The top role offered is HR. We have an active placement cell. It has good connections on Linkedin. It provides placements and internships. Companies like Delloite, Accenture, etc., visit our college. The salary package offered is 3 LPA. Our college provides the best placements for commerce students.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is very good. We have a beautiful campus. There is no hostel in our college. There are many PGs near our college. Our canteen is average. Our college has many food stalls. There is a stationery shop and a photocopy shop in our college.
Faculty: All the teachers are helpful. They guide us. They provide course materials. They are highly qualified. They are from well-known institutes. The teaching is very good, knowledgeable, and engaging. The course curriculum is provided by Delhi University. Our teachers give important information. They teach relevant topics. Semester exams are easy if we attend the class regularly.
Other: Our college provides many opportunities to upskill yourself.

It is pretty outside, but inefficient inside.
Placements: I do not know the percentage of students who get placed, but placements are very course-centric. Most companies come to recruit only from B.Com or Economics Hons students. These batches do get placed, but very few companies come for arts courses. Only 10% of students must be placed outside of B.Com. The highest package by DE Shaw is 21 LPA, and the lowest package ranges from 3-4 LPA. The average package is around 6 LPA. Top recruiting companies are DE Shaw, KPMG, Deloitte, Bain and Co, BCG, EY, and PwC. However, most of these top companies only came for B.Com. The top roles offered are HR and sales.
Infrastructure: There is no hostel facility. The college is very pretty but very functional. There is no Wi-Fi and no network in most classrooms. I think we only have a psychology lab where nothing lab-related happens. The library is good, but very strict with rules, so I don't prefer it. Classrooms are okay, like an average DU college. Washrooms are not good. There is only one western washroom, and the rest are Indian washrooms. There are no mirrors in the college.
Faculty: Teachers are good. Some are very good and knowledgeable. Some are good but not knowledgeable. Some teachers are just rude and not accepting. Teaching quality is decent. The course curriculum and exams are as per DU norms. The course curriculum is not relevant, but exams are easy. Most students score between 6-9 CGPA. It is really difficult to fail, but a lot of people pass. I don't think it makes us industry-ready by any means.
Other: I chose this course because JMC is known for Psychology. It is the best after LSR. But go for honours psychology. Program students are really discriminated against in things to be better, like an admin office, washrooms, and a canteen. The campus location is pretty good. Satya Niketan is 2 minutes away. Chanakya Puri is really safe and really pretty. It is in the heart of South Delhi. Close to CP Vasant Kunj, South Ex Lajpat Nagar, etc. Fests are terrible, and no singer comes to the college. It is just a mela.

I am extremely satisfied, and it is the best college.
Placements: Many students got placed through the placement cell in our college. I have friends from the commerce and B.Voc department who got placed through the placement cell. We keep receiving emails to attend interviews related to placements.
Infrastructure: Facilities are top-notch if you consider any other DU colleges, except Stephens. It is neat and tidy with a lot of areas to relax. The library is awesome, with many books and e-books as well. Classrooms are modern in the new block with facilities like projector, boards, etc. There is no hostel.
Faculty: The curriculum is great. Teachers are the best and well-qualified. In this course, only basics are covered both in psychology and philosophy, but the teaching is great. With the amount of money you pay, you can get many facilities.
Other: The best thing about this college is the fests that commence from mid-September till February. It is the best time.

Jesus and Mary College is a green, inclusive hub for academic excellence and holistic growth.
Placements: My college has achieved a percentage of 85-90% in placement. The highest and average package offered by my college is 6 Lacs per annum. Top recruiting companies for my course were Deloitte, Ernst & Young, etc. 30% of students got internships in my course at Deloitte. Top roles offered in my course are HR-related roles, Consultant, and Analyst positions.
Infrastructure: The campus is beautiful, spacious, and well-constructed. The classrooms are very neat and clean and well-decorated. The benches in the classrooms are always set in a row. The lab rooms are innovative and designed to attract students to gain knowledge.
Faculty: The teachers are very friendly and helpful to students. They teach everything with patience and examples to make the concepts clear. This course is very curriculum-relevant. It makes the student ready for every task in life. The exams are not very difficult; they are very easy and short. Also, very little stress is involved. Enough time is given to complete the exam.
Other: I chose this course in JMC because I have an interest in psychology, and JMC offers the best to its students. It has the best professors who are experienced and helpful. I don't think there's anything that I would like to improve. Just one thing to add: the fest organizing team should invite big artists to the event so that the students get the chance to meet their favorite artists. Every event is very fun to attend. All the facilities at the events or fests are well managed by the team.
