No, JIPMER Puducherry admit candidates to its MBBS programme based on merit in NEET only. There is no other provision for selection. National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) is conducted once in a year in offline or paper-pencil based test (PBT) mode. The national-level exam is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Aspirants can visit its official website to register and apply. In addition to this, candidates must secure a minimum aggregate of 50% in Class 12.  

JIPMER, Pondicherry offers twelve courses in its M.Sc program. The admission is made on the basis of marks secured in entrance exams.  The selection to the course is done on the basis of how the candidates perform for the entrance exam set by the college. JIPMER college offers M.Sc in Nursing and Allied Medical Sciences. The course work for M.Sc. is divided into 4 semesters, lasting for 2 years. The college provides students with practical training as well as theoretical studies.

JIPMER college offers a total of 25 seats for the M.Sc. program. 

The courses offered are in two specializations with 10 different disciplines.

The selection criteria vary from one course to another. While some courses like MBBS require valid scores in NEET-UG and other courses like BSc and MSc, the institute conducts its entrance exam.
